Success of the week: Had a very busy week, weather was beautiful so I spent a huge amount of time working in the yard and flower beds almost every day. By looking at my weight this morning I guess I burned a lot of calories! I will continue my 100 calories a day increase, trying to find the elusive sweet spot!
struggle(s) of the week: had dinner with friends several times this week, all people who know I eat low carb, so they try to keep that in mind when they menu plan. Bringing a giant mixed salad has become my contribution to dinners, then I just add whatever protein is being served. I have been asked so many times “when are you going to go back to carbs?” It seems to freak people out a bit when you answer “never”. I feel so much better without eating all the starches and sugars!

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: After a few weeks of my weight stubbornly staying above my maintenance range, it's finally dropped back down to within range, with the past two days being well within the middle of my range. It's definitely been a relief to see that. I'm still working on trying to be more motivated with my workouts, but I'm getting my daily steps in without much effort.5 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Water retention, bloating, and significant daily weight fluctuations are driving me crazy. It's difficult for me to note my progress if my weight keeps going up and down like this (even if I am watching trends through an app). I'm trying to find the root of this inflammation and eliminate it at the moment to see if I have to make some diet changes. I would rather be closer to the lower end of my range, so I'm working to get there.2 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week:My daughters wedding was beautiful. Perfect weather for a evening wedding and best of all I did not gain. I'm sure it was due to all the running around I did to get set up, help with serving the guest and tear down afterwards. They had their wedding at their house with fireworks at night.

Success/struggles of the week: It's been 1.5 weeks now that I am dealing with some medical issues that are depleting my energy and I am not suppose to exercise until my energy returns. I also have pretty constant significant pain which I keep hoping will go away this week. None of this is affecting my weight for which I am grateful but I want my usual happy active life back! I do feel lucky that this will probably be temporary for me.5 -

Success of the week: My weight was pretty rock steady for most of the week, at least until this morning. My average weight this week is exactly my scale weight from a week ago. I put a couple pounds on after the dive trip, but then stayed steady and took it back down a bit, but this weekend....
Struggle of the week: I was up less than half a pound yesterday, and today up over five pounds from that to damn near the top of my maintenance range. I'm guessing salt, so we'll see how I recover the next few days.

Lifting heavier weights!!!!
Aerobic workouts are now HIIT on Ex Bike, elliptical, and incline treadmill!!
I’m feeling leaner. Wt lifting & HIIT happily & more vigorously.
Developing better sleep habits! Not there yet ona daily basis, but averaging 7hrs per night.
Super hot weather has abated at least temporarily.
Struggles: My doctors asked me to eat more salt & I’m working out 🏋🏻♀️ so scale is bopping around, but my avg weekly wt is decreasing!
Social engagements on Th & Fri led to more salty foods, but am back to eating home cooked with no plans to eat out in foreseeable future.
Thinking about:
How to decide on Maintenance Range now that I’m working out daily with weights & 3-4 times a week with HIIT. Thighs 1/2-1” larger. Glutes up 1/2-1” Actually looks better & I’m Much stronger.
Current plan: Keep at it until solidly under 155. Then revisit.

Success(es)/struggles of the week: I was away for a few days on holiday with my daughter and grandchildren – lots of walking including up and down hills but most of it at a 4 year-olds pace. Mind you, the 4 year-old also spent a lot of time running up and down the beach! We had pasta, rice, chips, biscuits, chocolate, but I only came back a little heavier than before. Since I got back, I’ve been out for an evening meal – with a couple of hours of dancing – and out with friends. So, I’m getting some confidence in being able to eat out and eat “normally” without gaining weight again. But I’m happy to get back to my home routines – including going to the gym, cardio exercises at home, riding my bike, and eating fresh, healthy food.
I'm happy to be over 48 kg, and I have a couple of relatively quiet weeks before I go on holiday again so I can consolidate the weight and work on fitness and strength.7 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: It was a good week to start using a weight trending app, as is evident from the spread. Having six grams of salt one day followed by being a bit parched the next, etc, through the week made for some interesting swings. I'm aiming to gain half a pound a week until hitting the bottom of my range, but given my logging I'm undershooting it a little bit. I got in my daily workouts even when I really didn't want to, and my sleep schedule is slowly adjusting to being the opposite of everyone else in the house. Fun times.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My weight is a little low again this week with both my scale weight and my trend weight being under my range. I was up some yesterday and then back down again today. I'm still just going to blame it on the heat. We have been having highs over 100°F for the last couple of weeks with heat indexes over 105°F so it has just been too hot. I've been feeling really good and getting some nice runs in though. I just need to be eating a little more to compensate. The problem is the things I like to eat when it is hot are usually pretty low calorie. I'm not too worried about it though. I know that when the weather starts cooling down I will be wanting to eat some heavier foods. And I am not underweight so even though I am lower than the range I have set, I don't think it is too low.3 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I ended up having a binge on Saturday following a very exhausting day (both mentally and physically), so I'm not too happy about that. However, I didn't stress about it too much and got right back into routine the following day and have been eating at a deficit since then. I will resume maintenance calories this Saturday. Note: ever since the binge, I have been dealing with some cravings. I am reflecting on this and the cause of the binge as well. Success: Even though I had the binge this weekend, I have been feeling surprisingly lean lately, so that's great.4 -

Wife and I are training for the Virginia Creeper in October. We are loving being on our bikes again. Still keeping up with running as well. Bike 3x a week running 2x a week. Daily yoga slipped to 1-2 x a week. Would like to increase that. Been cooking and baking a lot and loving it. Still happy to be holding low weight. September I plan to hit 141. Looking to lose 1 pound per season over the next year and using that number as my 3 pound range.
I will be back to 142 by end of month! Following produce mom’s challenge and loving it. Different produce every day.

Success/Struggles: Big week. I am trying a period of mindful eating (not tracking). I'm happy so far. My weight is up a little, but it is expected. I started weights again, most de-load, which is probably why I'm retaining water. Given the soreness level of my muscles, I'm retaining enough water to fill a bathtub. Mostly my focus diet-wise is eating more (much more) fibrous vegetables, and hitting my protein goals.
BUT my trend did jump up almost 1.5lbs in a week, that is a big jump! Still in my zone though. And it is about the same as my monthly average weight, so I think I just actually had a dip during my deload, I didn't retain as much water, you know? I'll keep an eye on it. If my trend still is going up in a few weeks I'll know that I need to keep tracking, otherwise I'll start gaining.
Also despite my weight being up, and me knowing I'm probably retaining water, my stomach was the flattest I've ever seen it today. Less pudge/bloat/whatever. Like in my clothes, it looks notably smaller, more than last week. I wear the same two pair of leggings every time I go to the gym, I was bloated and muffin top-ish last week, and relatively flat this week. Same pants, same time of day, same mirror, same food...it felt so good3 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My average weight is still the same as last week, though my trending weight is slightly down. I was hoping to be at the bottom of my range at this point of the month, as I have a 1.5 week vacation coming up in the middle of next week, but at least I'm technically in my maintenance range now, with several weigh-ins being in the middle of my range. Not where I was hoping to be, but I'll just make sure that I get in a lot of walking during the vacation.
One success this week though is on the fitness front - my boyfriend got me a pullup bar, and I tested it out and I was able to do a pullup without any practice. The last time I had and used a pullup bar was at least 10 years ago, and it took me several months (at least) of practicing to accomplish one - and this was when I was about the same, or probably even less, weight than I am now, but at a time when my only exercise was walking. This has made me realize that although I've not been putting in 100% effort into my strength-based workouts lately, the fact that I've been doing them consistently over the past few years has made a difference in my overall fitness/strength level.6 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I was in the 131-132 all week although up today and I know why. Went out Friday night and had 3 drinks which I rarely do, got a attacked of the munchies and while I didn't overdue I had a little more than I should have. I know it's mostly water weight and should come off by the end of the week. I was right back at watching my calories on Saturday .3 -

Successes/struggles: Hmm - August has not really been a good month for me weight-wise. To be honest, I’m just happy to still be in maintenance range. I must remember to give myself some credit though so I will say that I am pleased to have kept up the activity levels. After sustaining a hand injury this week that scuppered any weight training or yoga, I added an extra couple of runs into my schedule so that’s something I guess. Onward for a better September!

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Day-to-day swings are still wide, but the trend is right about where it should be. Aiming to get to the bottom of my range by the end of September. I'm starting to settle into night shift and while there's room for improvement I've been getting sufficient sleep. I got in all my cardio and weight this week - the fitness center at work is empty in the middle of the night, so I feel like it's my own personal gym.

Success(es):
FOUR MONTHS in maintenance. Figuring it out. Lack of exercise due to Illness & traveling for 2 weeks (although I was careful food wise) added up to an increase in my weight of 2-3 lbs. I’m whittling back down again!
* Workouts are a routine now & I’m enjoying them. Making progress!
* Sleep is Vastly improved!! The workouts are making me sleepy earlier, I think!
* Food is going well. Prepping at home!
* Creating art which is a sign of how my self-care is going, stress level is good.
Struggles:
Appetite was problematic at times the past week. Possibly working out IDK Seems to be under control now, which is a relief.
Thinking about: What causes “mouth hunger” & “wanting to eat.”?
Current plan: Keep at it until solidly under 155. Then revisit Maintenance Range goal.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My scale weight is back up in range and my trend is moving up a little too. I was up a full pound this morning. We had a birthday party for my Dad's 82nd birthday yesterday and I know that a little of that weight is water weight, but it puts me back in range so I'll take it. I have been making an effort to hit my calorie goal every day this week. I've kind of unintentionally been eating a little below my goal. It's weird because a lot of the tips you hear when you are trying to lose, like don't eat if you are not hungry, don't always work in maintenance. At least they don't for me.1 -

I would like to be closer to 58 kg again, cause I feel 'fat' currently. I know that 1 kg shouldn't make a big difference but my jeans feel a bit tighter now somehow, so that 1 kg might count actually.2 -

Success(es)/struggles of the week: My weight is trending down again in spite of going out on Tuesday and Saturday. I would be happy to be over 48 kg but I am feeling good and I have bags of energy.
I am struggling with feeling a need to compensate for treats with additional exercise. I know I don’t need to – I’m actually trying to gain a pound or two – and guilt is not a healthy approach to food. But the habits of losing weight are so hard to unlearn. For instance, yesterday I had an ice cream while I was out in the afternoon. It was just a small cornetto type of ice cream so probably less than 200 calories, but later in the evening I just felt I had to power up the laptop and do 15 minutes cardio. I don’t think I’m actually developing an eating disorder but I do need to convince myself that I can just enjoy treats and only take action when/if I gain more than a couple of pounds.

I so agree with the section above, I keep eating a little less than I could, I find it hard to estimate exercise calories so always err on the under estimate out of habit.3 -
