1) My health insurance came to my office yesterday and offered $50 to do a biometric screening. It also offered another $50 for hitting key targets for health like blood sugar, cholesterol levels, BMI, etc. My employer offered to match. I'm $200 richer today.
2) Today I hit a new PR* for my 200 IM.
*Not actually a PR because I'm sure I went faster in high school, but 20 years removed from that time, it feels pretty good to go 2:4523 -
that suit is amazing!!!!0

Got in my cycle trousers that I haven't been able to wear. This is truly an NSV as my bottom really can tell the difference after the ride to work9

I was shopping with a friend and found a blazer I really liked but they did not have a Large. So I though well I will try a medium and use it for a goal. It fit. I have not worn a medium since High school!22

Although the skin around my jawline and neck is not as taut as I would like it to be (or as it was the last time I was this weight), my weight-loss turkey waddle seems finally to have dissipated. You know that one where there is just a flap dragging down directly from the point of your chin?16

I can do chores around the house instead of having to depend on others to do them. Including lifting and carrying!16

What a wonderful gift to self Julie. You are as beautiful now as then! Truly. Always inspired by your journey.2 -

Now for four miles under 15:00 per mile!
Great work Steve! You will get there!!!!!2 -

Yay! You are well on your way to taming them dragonpants, @hobbitses333! Congrats!2

Last winter, I was able to wear my knee-high boots again and I was SO HAPPY! I tried them on (as Fall is right around the corner!!) and they fit even better now. No longer snausage squeezing my calves and turns out, one of them was more of an over-the-knee boot that never had enough give to get that high. Who'd've thought?!
While I don't yet quite want summer to go (swimming season!!), I am getting excited about Fall!13 -
Since I had lost some weight recently, this morning I decided to try on some of the shirts I couldn't previously wear in my closet. I was able to add one shirt to the 'wear everyday' side and 3 were moved to the 'almost there, but not quite' section of the closet.14

Knocked another two minutes off my "walking" parkrun time.
This was an interesting outing as my 6-year old and husband went with me and my son. There were also some very nasty hills, so I am very pleased with our time.
I also managed to run some small sections, very slowly, without causing any additional pain or head/brain issues.
Am going to see my doctor this week, just for clarification that it's okay to start running again. Once I have that, I'm going to start running from scratch, with the C25K programme again.
It's good to have goals again.21 -
The main thing that sparked my weight loss journey last April but being diagnosed pre-diabetic from the A1C blood test. I tested my blood sugar a few different times the past few days with a glucose tester and it is reading normal. I get my A1C tested in one month again. It's gotta be better! My Dr has no idea I lost 67 lbs so far.20
-
@nighthawk584 Excellent job on your weight loss! Let us know your results when you get your A1C tested next month. I am diabetic and my A1C was 8.5 in March. Doctor really put the fear into me. Mine will be re-tested in about October. I have lost 31 pounds (since February) and am working towards losing more before October. I am hoping for good news!8

I went 11 days without binging for the first time this year! ☺️ I can't wait to see the number of days increasing.32

I did an hour long HIT Barre class with a friend, I only had to take a couple of short breaks and only modified a few exercises, otherwise I kept up pretty well.
I can't afford it in the long run, but it was a ton of fun and the instructor gave me a free week so I'm going back at least once or twice more before my free week runs out.19 -
I'm running again, 2 miles non-stop! I'm slow as molasses, but for the longest time I couldn't comfortably brisk-walk the distance that I'm running now, so I'll take it.19

That's fantastic, congratulations! One of my NSVs has been how well I can keep up in my hour-long HIIT/cardio/strength class. When I first began I'd get dizzy and feel like I was going to pass out, but now I can do the whole class. Woo hoo!

I usually wear shirts in large or even xlarge, today bought a medium and it fit good!15

This is a "no brainer" for me! My most recent NSV is a long one! It began that day late last year when I finally decided I had enough of pain and limited mobility. It has extended through two hip replacement surgeries in 2019, their subsequent rehab and PT. It continues today with continued PT, freer MUCH more comfortable and MUCH more consistent exercise (and diet) which has translated as of today, into a SV of nearly 25 lbs lost since May. 🙂15

I love that gown!!!9 -
I just reached my goal weight, which in the past has triggered the “yea now I can eat what I want” mentality. But because I am older, my maintenance cals are only 1450. Last night my husband and I went to a dance potluck and I was eyeing the sweets table. I really wanted some, BUT I knew from logging my calories that I didn’t have enough room for sweets (even with the extra cals from dancing) and once I got started I would probably eat too many. So I walked away and asked my husband to rhumba again. Hit my maintenance calories for the day dead on.
Good for you!! My metabolism is quite slow as well. My maintenance rate will likely be 1300-1400 calories per day once I get down another 40 lbs. I had no idea how little my body actually needed to maintain...5 -

I have a pair I keep trying on, and hoping for the same....no joy yet Good for you!!4 -
I didn’t think I was ever going to. But as of today, I can balance on one foot to the count of 20. I’ll lose speed until I build up more strength, and I’m still a little wobbly when I walk. But now I’m clear to ditch the cane!34

I was getting dressed to go to a wedding this afternoon and my Spanx were loose! How is that even possible? Spanx and loose in the same sentence.27

I was sitting in my chair and noticed I needed to trim my toenails. I bent over and easily trimmed them without getting out of breath or having to maneuver myself into a better position. I'm 5'0 and 309 pounds. I should still be getting in my way when it comes to that. How bendy and flexible am I under all this fat?19

My rings and freshly washed jeans are slipping off.14
