@geraldaltman No way of telling
@whmscll The important question is do you not have a watermelon on your floor?7 -

Since it looks like no one is answering: Sorry, reaction clicks are anonymous.
We just need to bask in the glow of others' approval, without knowing who's doing the approving.
I think maybe moderators can see, but not us regular members.5 -

Was a curiosity based question. Will just have to post a blanket "thank you" periodically.5 -
Went from barely fitting into a XXXL last April to now fitting into a XL t-shirt even after I shrunk it in the dryer!

HA! Hahahahaha
I have a watermelon on the floor of my bedroom because....children. 3 of them, a fresh 6, 3.5, & not yet 18m.
Which is also why those sheets piled on the bed are so darn wrinkly
Our bedroom is just off the front hall and the kitchen is very near to that. We have an old house with limited counter space. Watermelons live on the floor so they don’t take up valuable space/kids can’t roll them off onto the floor to make a mess.
However, this means watermelons become “balls.” Once it ended up in the bedroom we left it so the kids wouldn’t find it as easily29 -
The good news: I went down a bra band size.
The bad news: my size is still expensive!12 -

Didn't look at picture closely so watermelon on floor "went over my head" 🤣2 -
So I fell off the wagon a bit. Gained 5kg in a week! Though the 3 weeks leading up to that gain I was steady weight wise, but making all the wrong food choices, I kept getting a surprise when the scale didn't go up. It was almost as if I was tempting fate. I got away with it for a bit and then bam it smacked me in the face. I half heartedly tried to get back into it and have managed to not gain any more weight in the meantime. Then I caught a cold that put me out of exercise action for about 5 weeks, and my back started hurting, another 2 weeks off.
Monday morning I got up and told myself to just walk. NSV right there. Something is better than nothing! I got about 500 metres and thought "Let's just see how much your fitness has declined, see how far you can go" well I went the rest of my 5km route without feeling uncomfortable 😁😁😁
Yesterday was bootcamp, I've been back at bootcamp for about a week and a half (Tuesdays and Thursdays) after a big spell I was expecting to not be able to jog the km warm up too quickly. Last week my back was too sore to even attempt jogging (I probably shouldn't have gone, but the instructor took care of me and I actually left the session feeling less pain than when I started!) So I surprised myself when I got it done in 6 minutes 19 seconds. My pb to date is 5 minutes 57 seconds. So to get it done in the time I did after a big spell I feel is not too bad at all.
Then last night was my biggest NSV! I recorded all my food for the day and saw I was over calories (I caved and had a chicken parmi with Chips & Salad for lunch) My partner thought it would be funny to have me get ice cream for him. Instead of caving and getting some for myself while I was going I told myself that no, I didn't have the calories left. This is HUGE for me. Normally I would go "meh, I'll have it tonight and get back on track tomorrow" I'm actually so proud of this one.
This morning I went out for my jog again and done the whole 5k. With relative ease. I guess fitness doesn't decline as quickly as I thought it does!13 -
Recently, I decided to attempt to change my behavior pattern of overeating to cope with painful emotions. I’m a few weeks in and it has been powerful to see how I have acted differently during this time. Instead of overeating to numb my feelings, I have been acknowledging my feelings, allowing myself to feel them and practicing self-compassion. And I have been confronting my problems right and left. I feel more authentic and happy. I seriously love this change of behavior in myself!22

Clothes I saved just in case I ever lost weight are now too small for me. I waited too long and missed the window of opportunity.
I have a big mirror over the vanity in my bedroom. For years I have avoided it. I change my clothes on the other side of the room, if I had to cross the room half-dressed or undressed I would rush past it with my eyes averted. I did not want to see what was in the mirror. I don't have to do that any more. I can stop and look. It's not too scary. I can see my improvements. I can like some of the things I see and appreciate how far I have come. Of course, if I tarry to long I start to notice what work still needs to be done. A quick peek makes me happy.12 -
I found a really good chair yoga series on Prime Video, so that I can safely do some exercise during my current endo flare.9

Was frustrated after a week of no results on the scale. Decided to measure myself again after a week and despite no loss soon the scale I lost an inch on my belly, waist, arms, and thigh.7

I’ve just realised that I can’t remember the last time I got out of breath in a gym class.
(Still get puffed hiking up steep hills, mind!)17 -
Visited my doctor, and now I am officially off all blood pressure meds for the first time in 3 years.42

Just coming off a 100 - day run streak. At least a mile a day from Memorial Day - Labor Day (plus yesterday to get to an even 100 days). I'm gladly taking today off but I'm proud I was able to stick with it through the humid summer months when I usually find way too many excuses not to run!37

At a recent class I broke the chair and wasn't the least bit embarrassed. Obviously a chair in not good shape.
However, I also heard someone say and the tiny one broke the chair which I am not sure how I feel about as any chair in a conference room should be able to support people.13 -
I passed on donuts someone brought to work today and had my eggs with veggies and cheese.25

I tried on my son's XL t-shirt yesterday just to see how it fit. It was slightly tight in the tummy area, but looked good everywhere else. I was wearing 3x/4x men's t-shirts with just a little room in them in May. If I wanted to I could wear the XL now, I like them just a little roomy though.
My mother-in-law hadn't seen me for about a month and when she did her first comment was "you have been losing weight, haven't you?" She knew I was losing because my kids told her but she didn't believe it until she saw me. I'm down 21 pounds since May.32 -
So many this week! Passed on the office bakery, passed on the family ice cream, killed my workouts this week ( during that time of the month!!!) and my FAVORITE, lying on my deck right now in a thong!! Wouldn’t have done that anywhere in the last 10 years. And I’m still very overweight , but it’s coming along.21

I have clear muscle definition in my forearms! I knew I was getting some definition in my biceps but seeing a clearly defined muscle in my forearms took me completely by surprise!..... I need to try to get a pic17

I feel you on that one, lol. I'm just outside the standard sizes for most department stores so it really jacks up the price, and for bras that probably won't fit yet again next year.
Oh geez I can only imagine how much of a pain that could be!! Being a mom of 2 toddlers I REALLY don't feel like going to the store and trying on a bunch of bras if I don't have to.... I'm taking a chance and ordering some online. Fingers crossed that they work for me though. I know it's a long shot!4 -

Heard that. I can go for miles on a flat course without stopping. Put some hills in front of me and I always have to stop to catch my breath. But at 65, I'm just glad I'm able to keep hiking!10 -
Hi, id like to jump in. I have been trying to have enough money after bills to unfreeze my gym membership (signed a contract) so ive been using that as an excuse not to exercise. But i have been in the forums for a couple days. Need some real time motivation and i got it. I gave up the drive to my sons school and decided to go walk to pick him up. 20 minute walk, i thought i was just slow but when i opened my steps (recorded automatically as an exercise) to and from was over a mile. The most ive walked since february. Had to share with someone who understands. Thanks, sorry for the essay🤣41

That's one part of a strategy for weight loss and better health - incorporating more movement into your day. Keep it up!9 -
I got hungry but not the true type of hunger. It's that type of hunger where you're just kind of bored. Yeah, so that attacked me hard this afternoon and instead of succumbing to it I gave myself the options of having carrots instead(to see if I was truly hunger) and walked away (carrot didn't sound appetizing at all). I've never done that before! Who am I?!?!? I'm digging her but lowkey I'm scared since this is all so new to me. Also, I'm digging La Croix sparkling water now asdfghjkl. AhaHA h e l p me.18

I've ALWAYS shunned food and gourmand scented candles...ALWAYS, because I've always told myself I didn't like them (when the truth is, when I was obese, I shyed away from them) because I felt they were too much of a temptation for me or that smelling them would lead me to over super pig out on a lot of stuff, or something of that nature.
Well, I'm burning an apple pie, coconut macaroon, banana cream pie candles in different rooms and my home smells absolutely scrumptious and I'm not tempted in the least and I'm enjoying them to the maxium (and so is my family) and I'm THRILLED to be burning these fabulous scented candles and no longer in my self-imposed "prison and box" of I can't burn certain candles anymore--because of (fill in the blank). FREEING, DELIGHTFUL and FABULOUS it is to be in control of oneself and be able to do things I've always allowed "fear, anxiety and woe" to influence and control me in a lot of area in my life. This weight blastification is far more excellent than merely getting down to size...I'll tell ya that.
YAY and BOOM!18 -
Tried on a winter jacket lurking in my closet.... Still too tight to wear but I could zip it up!
Getting closer to this little goal!20 -
I have been on 2 blood pressure pills for over 7 years...My blood pressure actually started going too LOW and making me dizzy and almost passing out. 2 days ago, it was the lowest it has ever been. I stopped the pills and it returned to a normal reading and the dizziness stopped. So I would say this is a huge victory.29
