I fit into a dress and felt happy wearing it that I couldn’t or wouldn’t dare wear months ago.15

I can see my knees! Sounds odd but lying in the bath my knees are now pointy. Used to just be a smooth lump, now actually has a shape. Also made a list of aches and pains when I started, most noticeaby plantar fascitis, knee and hips aches have all improved. Yay.14

I see the doctor every three months for blood work, etc. Each visit I receive a Summary Report, which always includes an Ideal Body Weight at the bottom. This morning the scale showed that weight.40

No longer snausage squeezing my calves and turns out, one of them was more of an over-the-knee boot that never had enough give to get that high. Who'd've thought?!
While I don't yet quite want summer to go (swimming season!!), I am getting excited about Fall!
Nope - autumn holds no delights for me - other than hoping for an Indian Summer. Nights already drawing in and I am not looking forward to wearing proper shoes - I live pretty much bare foot or in minimal shoes in the summer. And walking in all the mud that winter brings to our coast paths and country walks! Still, as ever I will look for the good and try and hit my ideal weight before holidays at the end of Jan.
So glad your boots fit better this year - bet they look great. Your progress is truly awesome4 -

@motivatedmartha Hug! I wouldn't want to slog through mud either, but maybe a fun pair of loose rain boots that you can jump in puddles in? Your coastal walks are so pretty! I will be here, cheering for you to get to your goal by January! You can do it!
Thank you! I am hoping that I reach goal by February, but we will see. The holidays loom. XD3 -
Remember the FUN party my wonderful hubby and I went to a couple of weekends ago? Well, the host called us last night and said somebody at the party (that we didn't meet personally--but they were watching us), these peeps are good friends of the Host and Hostess) invited us to attend their big shindig their having soon. He told us if we thought his party was off the chain and SUPER terrific, that these peeps (that invited us to their party) host "the BEST" parties and they (strangers) invited us to their party, He told us they have the most fabulous "invitation only" parties in the world and they would love us to join them at their party, they told our friend, "because once we came/joined the party, my hubby and I brought so much life and energy to the atmosphere--it helped turn their party out and brought it to LIFE" (my hubby and I started dancing and mingling and just having a ball--instead sitting around "eating" and making small talk in "clique-ish" groups...we helped inspired/encourage EVERYONE get out of their "boxes/shells" and get on up and boogie down and laugh and HAVE FUN with us) and just again, brought such life and FUN to the party--these peeps asked our friend to please invite us/RSVP to their party.
That makes me/us feel like a million buck...TAX FREE and of course, we're going and will turn that party out too
I'm telling ya, forever blasting away a whole LOT of unwanted, unhealthy, unattractive and woe-is-me pounds and ounces REALLY helps you in so many ways. Makes you feel all young, attractive and fun--like you did in the "olden days" when you were young(er)

Had to go down a bra band size lmao12

It was a slog, but finished a trail half marathon under my own steam this afternoon.
Since then have been mostly eating!
Entirely my own fault, last year it felt much easier when I had put the work in!18 -
Rather than throwing away my relatively-new 3X tops, I took several inches off the side seams and arms, makeing them an XL size. It's much more flattering to have clothes that fit. And I've added 6 new tops to my wardrobe.26

My goal shirt fits and I wore it out in public today!
Now, to try for the next one

When I first bought my neoprene workout vest (not that long ago), it was a workout just to get it on. Now not only is it easier to get on, but it's starting to feel loose.10

I made it to my goal of 30 minutes on the elliptical. From dying at 2 minutes when I started two weeks ago to 30 minutes/3 miles. I forgot how good it can feel to sweat.21

Absent mindedly putting ony belt and was struggling to get it to buckle. Then I realized I had run out of holes!19

NEW Nsv I haven't heard from anyone to date:
Out in the yard, doing some leave raking and a neighbor walks up to me and tells me...you are looking really slim and good, "look how strong and small your arms look"
"small and strong"?!? BOOOOOOOM!
Now, my arms are one of the places I've been hoping (and waiting with joy and patience to shrink), because I've been doing this the weight blastification thang the SLOW AND STEADY way, so as to not have excess and saggy skin--just to let time/patience have it's perfect work to get my body all slim and trim and in proportion, again without any excess/saggy skin ANYWHERE. My upper arms, like my tummy area, were huge and just "NO!" and areas that have taken the longest to "get down to size" so to speak. I'm not doing any exercising or anything specific (other than N.E.A.T. exercising DAILY) and I'm THRILLED that my arms are no longer all big and jigglily and whatnot and so much so, somebody (besides me and my family) noticed my arms shrinkage and was kind enough to share that with me--how thrilling. Super mega ULTRA YAY Nsv--nothing like "small and strong" arms honey--BOOM AGAIN!!!!13 -
I used to have to shimmy into my neoprene workout suit, but now I can get in and out of it with no problem.
I hate that the loss is slow, but at least I'm losing and slow us healthier.13 -

I need a goal shirt. You look great!
Thank you! Yes! Go find one, it’s so validating and motivating to finally FIT into those goal clothes!0 -
Six hours of physical activity yesterday. I took some short breaks which weren't that long, but I should have taken either longer or more frequent breaks as I got overheated. But I didn't as I didn't feel like I was too hot or too tired.7

I bought size 4 jeans!! I started in an 18, my size 8s and 10s were feeling a bit baggy but the store didn’t have a size 6 in almost anything so I tried a 4 just for fun and they buttoned right up.29

I just ran 5k tonight for the first time without stopping 😀🏃♀️
Also (apologies if this is TMI) my hubby commented "Your boobs are getting smaller...I don't like it!"....unfortunately, when I lose weight, it goes from my boobs first...not my bum/tum/legs which is what I'd prefer! Sorry honey, side effect of me losing weight - smaller boobs! Just waiting on the rest of my body catching up!24 -
Dimples are back!!!!37 -
In these forums or threads, is there a way to see who reacts to posts? It's "killing" me that people react to mine and I can't acknowledge or thank them if appropriate.8

My elastic band sweatpants no longer stay up properly

Silly one. Yesterday I put on some old shorts to clean the house. I was running around like a crazy person when I realized my shorts were sliding down on the right side. My cell phone was pulling my shorts off! No biggie I'm working and my roommates/guests have seen worse. Then I realize that they were hanging down so low that not just the band of my underwear was showing but past the undies where my leg was visible. Another pair for the GW bag!!14

I tried on my old size 17 (so juniors) jeans - the only pair of jeans I own, lol. They wouldn't even stay up for a second without a belt. They're even loose in the thighs, which is crazy considering as a junior's size, they're cut a little narrower in the thighs, and usually that's where things are tight for me in general.18

Last week I went on vacation with some friends and my hubby. We hiked nearly every day, and I killed it even carrying a heavy pack going up tons of stone steps. I was a little worried before, but I am now confident in my ability to hike three days on the Appalachian Trail next month. On top of all that activity, I ran for the first time since a knee injury in March, two mornings in a row. Three miles each, no major pain. It felt amazing.

Realized I did my crunches, sit ups, squats, and plank without thinking. 🙂13

I feel you on that one, lol. I'm just outside the standard sizes for most department stores so it really jacks up the price, and for bras that probably won't fit yet again next year.3
