08/31 …..192.6 LOSS ….. I’ve changed my color code system. Happy fuchsia is a loss on the scale, sad blue is a gain. I’m so happy & grateful for this loss today. I am going to be traveling on a day trip today. Bad timing since I’ve been on a roll. I will try to be mindful. I have already taken a short walk this morning before I leave & I will take a longer one tonight when I get home. I will try to be mindful of my diet with NO DESSERTS. Yesterday’s stats: 1070 Calories In / 2752 Calories Out. 22 Net Carbs. 13,387 Total Steps & 5.66 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 1 minute. I cleaned my own home at moderate pace for 77 minutes & I walked at moderate 3.0 mile pace for 67 minutes. Total extra calorie burn was 665. Good luck everyone on this round! 09/01 …..192.6 ….. I had a day trip yesterday so not as much movement as I would have liked. No change on the scale. Happy for that as I did have a dish of sherbet yesterday with a travel friend. Yesterday’s stats: 1526 Calories In / 2666 Calories Out. 63 Net Carbs. 14,887 Total Steps & 6.3 Total Miles. 11/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept a wonderful 6 hours & 49 minutes! Woo Hoo! That is so much better than my usual. I fit in a 17 minute walk before my day trip out of town and I got in another 74 minutes of a brisk walk finishing just before dark. I also got in 109 minutes of misc. housework & etc last night. Total calorie burn was 931. I hope all the USA is enjoying the beautiful Labor Day Weekend, and that all others are having a lovely Sunday!

09/02 …..194.2 ….. Holiday weekends are not good for me! Even when my calories are very low & my carbs reasonable , even if a touch too high. Yesterday’s stats: 885 Calories In (and I gained?) 1771 Calories Out. 42 Net Carbs of mainly friendly veggies. 17,771 Total Steps & 7.73 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. Charged fitbit so not sure of exact sleep hours but it was slightly over 5 hours. I rigorously cleaned tourist cabins for 45 minutes, did yard work for 36 minutes & walked at moderate pace for 62 minutes. Total extra calorie burn was 803 Calories. Happy Labor Day to all US Citz’s.

09/03 …..194.8 ….. I obviously enjoyed a very nice holiday but I am still struggling with my fitbit which says it is trying to pair with a Bluetooth item that is just not existing in or around my PC. Nothing nearby has changed. On the phone with fitbit last night, worked finally for a bit, and now today it is doing the same thing! Picnic yesterday killed me and my stats as best known are as follows: 2774 Calories In / 3102 Calories Out. 178 Carbs. 17,528 Total Steps & 7.53 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 6 hours & 7 minutes. I walked at 3.0 mph moderate pace for 46 minutes and rigorously cleaned tourist cabins at check-out for 180 minutes. Total extra calorie burn was 1149. Getting back on track today. The self-sabotage stops here and it stops now!

08/31: 206.8 same as yesterday but I'm okay with that! Hopefully this round will be as successful as the last!

09/01: 206.8 day 3 of the same weight! I am definitely not complaining considering it's a long weekend here in Canada and weekends aren't usually the best for my eating habits. I do try and stick within my maintenance calories at the very least but I'm doing pretty well so far this weekend

Usually I would've gained a couple of lbs in water today lol.
09/02: 206.5 I still can't believe I haven't had any water gains. I stayed within my calorie goals yesterday but my calorie goal is set at 1670; I usually try to stay around 1400 per day during the week. I'm going to kill it this week (after today) haha!
09/03: 206.5 I don't think my weight has ever been this consistent lol. I'm hoping for a decent loss tomorrow ;D I ate McDonald's yesterday and still managed to stay well within my calorie goal.

9/3 - 184 - Back up to my weight a year ago. I consider that not bad after 4 months of 2 rounds of high cortisol stress and stepping down from it by feeding it a little each day. Navigated through a couple of summer birthdays successfully too, including my own. I stopped reading EVERYTHING that was causing and keeping my cortisol elevated, from personal texts to internet forums. So, sorry that I haven't been around, but I have learned that sometimes the one to help is myself. Now, time to figure this out and continue on my weightloss journey. I seem to be stuck here and I have more reasons than carbs to correct. I haven't been exercising enough or getting quality sleep. Some days, not eating enough or drinking enough water. Extremely low calories work against my weight loss and so does excessive exercise, so I need a new plan. *I still do have good habits😊 I never stopped weighing myself or measuring and weighing my food.

08/31 - 123.4 :: was very active and unintentially ate far lower than my calorie limit because of being busy through out the day. Made healthy choices. Last round was slow progress. This is a kicker to start with.
09/01 - 124.4 :: last drop was surprising, seems numbers evened out. Over calorie limit by < 100 cals. Not very active. Ate healthy.
09/02 - 124.4 :: ate a bit higher than calorie limit, <50 cals. Decently active. Ate healthy. Breakfast choice of Sago was very calorific, be cautious next time.

09/03 - 123.6 :: Ate in calorie limit, ate planned snack and controlled portions. Not very active.

8/31: 197.8 (+/- 0) I didn’t think yesterday was horrible but I guess it wasn’t great. Weighed in today after my light breakfast. But not gaining is ok by me. Guess I’ll make this a 9 day challenge.

9/1: 199.0 (+1.2) well this challenge isn’t working so much so far. I did good all day yesterday. Even went to a wedding and didn’t eat. Ate McDonalds late but only half the food. Still early. Still hopeful

9/2: 198.2 (-.8) not to bad. Had a good workout yesterday. But ate a lot of junk food in small quantity. Mostly because I had a late lunch/ early dinner and was getting hungry. As long as it’s going down. Hopefully I can get back to my starting weight

9/3: 197.6 (-.6) yesterday wasn’t great but wasn’t horrible. Today is my daughters birthday and she’s requesting carb overload for birthday dinner. I’ll try to control myself. But sometimes there has to be risk to get a reward.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.

Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

In general had a good day. I am very tired though. I am going to try a spinning class tomorrow. Never done one before. I am a little apprehensive, even though I cycle outside, this will probably be very different.

My weight is bouncing up and down. Don't know if I am going into a stall or if this is temporary. It is normal for me to go into 2, 3 or one ghastly time 4 week stalls. I always end up losing the same amount in the end (my weight eventually goes back to near my trend line).

Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it – it's a permanent way of life !

Human nature wants a drop, but can't expect to undo 4 days sabotage with one healthy day! Determined to stay within healthy eating today. 10 days to my holidays

09/01 133.4 - 12.83 miles walked and 99 flights of stairs yesterday, a good food day; all macros in green. Not really that amazing that when a healthy eating plan is followed the results show through! I am thrilled by the number this morning; I feel good, energised and positive.

09/02 133.2 – 7.94 miles walked yesterday. Stayed within macros, thrilled to see results on scales !
09/03 132.0 – wow!! 1.2 llbs down; didn't expect a big drop, but loving it!! 8.88 miles walked yesterday & all macros in green again.

09/04 132.8 – not surprised at this gain given yesterdays big whoosh so it's ok. 9.63 miles walked & under calorie goal.

9/1 159.4 (-0.0) 10.191 steps. Today will be hard as it’s my daughters surprise birthday and I made our favourite, a lemon meringue pie ice cream. I’ll treat myself to a little slice. Rest day sports wise as I went for a short run yesterday.
9/2 160.4 (+1.0) 3.056 steps, sooo yes…. That was a bit of a disaster for yesterday! A combination of a big family meal with yummy birthday desert and cheese for dinner, add no exercise as cherry on the cake and there’s no surprise there lol I did really (really really) enjoy it though

9/3 159.2 (-1.2) 7.888 steps, A good drop after the weekend gain. I didn’t get my steps in but I wasn’t feeling well, I had an upset tummy, probably after all the food from the day before! I’ll be going for a run later, I’m behind on my schedule for the C25K

9/4 158.0 (-1.2) 15.815 steps, C25K W4R3 done, I’m very surprised at this big loss! I suppose it has to do with the run yesterday evening and I stayed in my 1200cal range so it resulted in a hefty calorie deficit. No exercise planned today except getting my 10.000 steps, my daughter (10) was given a fitbit for her birthday and she’s really into the competition so it’s motivating lol

08/31 - DNW - Was out last night with hubby for our 17th wedding anniversary - champagne cocktails, beautiful chateaubriand, bottle of red, cheese board and liquer coffees. Didn't log but guessing it wasn't within calories for the day

!! Hubby brought me up tea in bed this morning too so didn't bother to get up and weigh in first - although would definitely be up after last night!! Back to normal today - a gardening and DIY day today so just need to remember to drink plenty of water as thats where I often go wrong at the weekend and its pretty warm here again today.

09/01 - DNW - got a long overdue lay in this morning and sat up in bed reading with my cup of tea - lovely way to start a Sunday.

09/02 - DNW - Tried to weigh but my scales decided to have a hissy fit and just show "Lo" - so need to get some new batteries for it today. I know scale would have been up though as not the best of weekends plus the usual Sunday night family roast. But a new week, a new month, kids all back to school and college this week, my work hours return to normal. Food planned and prepped for today, water bottle at my side on my desk.

09/03 - DNW - Got in from work yesterday and girls wanted to go to the cinema for a last day of the holidays treat so didn't get to sort batteries for the scales so still couldn't weigh this morning!! Work all day today then gym tonight so may not get chance today either! Waved my youngest off to secondary school this morning so no more school runs for me now and the other daughter heads off to college tomorrow... All change in our house from today - time to get focused on me I guess!

09/04 - DNW - no time to sort the scales yesterday. Plan to get sorted when I get home today. But food all OK and a tough gym session last night so feeling OK, water intake been pretty goof and daughter loved her first day at secondary school - elder one headed to college today ....

Hello everyone. Is it ok if I join? I read this post every single day, and its only dawned on me now to join in. I don't post much.
Anyway, I'm 40yo, from Ireland, with two boys, age 10 and 7. My starting weight was 168 and I am at 143 now. Goal weight 130 - 133.

31st Sept: 142.5. 4 mile run on Saturday morning. Took boys off for haircuts and last few bits before back to school. Stayed within calories.
1st Aug:142.5 Last day before school starts. Ate chips and sausages at amusement park and crisp sandwich before bed. 2 glasses of red wine. Enjoyed them.
2nd Aug: 142.5. Sons hurling training cancelled for tonight so I will get a run or a walk in with some of the dogs. Home made left over curry for lunch and shepherds pie for dinner.
3rd Aug: 141.75. Went for a 5 mile walk up the local forest with 2 of my dogs and my friend. we got so caught up chatting we took a wrong turn and got lost. Slight panic attack. The whippet was grand but the St. Bernard was shattered. We were sprinting trying to find our way out, it was pitch dark at this stage. 20,100 steps!! Plan for today, left over shepherds pie for lunch. Piloxing class tonight and son has a Gaelic match so not sure what to have for dinner yet. Have thin salt and pepper steak so maybe that with home made wedges and mushy peas.
4th Aug: 142.5. Late piloxing class last night followed by late scrambled eggs in toast. Was good on calories. Son has hurling training tonight so I'll head walking on the greenway with 2 of the dogs.
I'll have the steak and home made wedges for dinner tonight, didn't have them last night.

My goal for this round is to not gain too much while eating at maintenance. I will be at maintenance calories for this entire round.

08/31 298.2 Interesting. I’m happy with this as it should mean that I’m staying on track with my plans. Yesterday I was hungry for no real reason, this happens to me near ovulation. However I didn’t expect that at higher calories it would still happen and it’s something that I’ll have to watch out for.

09/01 300.4 Eep. It’s okay though I was high sodium and high carb and I didn’t have enough water.

09/02 299.6 Better. I think the sugar, high carb, or something isn’t agreeing with me. I’ve limited sweets a lot over the last few months so several days of them has been a little much. Thankfully all the birthday cake is gone, but there will be more on Thursday for my daughter’s birthday. Next year I might split the recipe into two separate cakes rather than making two full cakes. Live and learn.

09/03 301.0 I weighed late, but I’m not sure I would be a lot lower. I over ate a bit yesterday so I deserve this bounce up.

09/04 301.6 One thing I’m trying during this break is some shifts to my breakfast and lunch. Yesterday they didn’t stay with me and I was starving at dinner time. I was in my calories, but it was a big meal. Needless to say I won’t be doing that again.
