I accidentally bought a gorgeous dress in a size that is slightly too small for me. Hence, I need to fit my upper back into it because it cost $200. At least it's a jumpstart?
Hi Alyssa, I hope this site helps you achieve your weight loss goals. That certainly is an interesting way to get started on your weight-loss goals, but if it is the kick you need, then I say work it lol. I probably shouldn't bring this up, but can you not return it? Lol. You may need to lose excess fat on your upper back but to achieve that goal you will need to lose fat in general. I wish we could will our bodies to burn fat in certain areas first lol.

Hi Alex, my weight loss goal is similar to yours, mine being 100lbs. When you try to lose as much weight as that it means setting down roots and preparing yourself for the long haul, finding satisfaction along the journey, and not just with the destination. A little bit of fat loss here and there will add up over time. Do you plan on incorporation a lot of exercise into your plan?0 -

They need to make those wagons with seatbelts lol, I fell off one too. I had lost about 60lbs through eating healthy and lots of exercise, but then depression got a hold of me and boom, not only did I gain it all back, but I gained an extra 20lbs to boot! A wedding is always a nice motivation. Since your wedding is in December, that gives you about 4 months, so not a ton of time, but enough to definitely improve your fat percentage. I think a couple of things are good to keep in mind: 1. you probably won't lose all the fat you want in time depending on how much you have to lose, so it would probably be good to make this fat loss a lifestyle and not just a quick fix, and 2. your future husband already loves you enough to want to marry you, so only the wedding dress might have something to say about how much you lose lol; I am sure you will look beautiful in your wedding dress no matter how much you lose.0 -
Hey my name is Sophie! This is my first attempt really trying to lose weight and I dont really know where to start but I figured this is worth a shot! the last few years I have become less active and let my self go a bit, but I’m ready to try a healthier lifestyle. My end goal is to lose 50-60lbs. One thing I’m struggling with is that I work swing shifts so I’m having a hard time getting into a “routine” no such thing as a shift worker lol! Plus my energy levels are always pretty low!! If anyone is in a similar situation and has any pointers on how to balance the diet, exercise, sleep cycle I’ll take any advice I can get!! Thank you! And good luck to everyone else on your fitness journey!2

Hi my name is Aaliyah. I’m trying to lose about 10kg. I’m sitting at 69kg which is the biggest I’ve been since being pregnant. Last year I was very small at 43ish kg (my usual was (53-55kg). I am now clean and sober which is great and I put weight on but it just hasn’t stopped and I come from a big family with the health problems that come along with being overweight. So I’d like to lose some weight and maintain it. To be honest I do not mind my new body but I do not want to get any bigger. So I started IFing but am now calorie counting too (and starving lol!). Any tips on how to keep my hips, butt and boobs and even the thighs maybe but just tone it all up and lose the stomach would be great?0

Hi Louise has joined fit pharm as of yesterday. Looking forward to learning and absorbing new knowledge from this 6 week challenge to aid maintenance of my ageing body. For me it’s about gaining knowledge to use equipment correctly and maintaining good posture for safe use of weight lifting, as I’m not an expert in this field @all. Also understanding nutrition on a deeper level needed for weight training effectively as that too is a foreign language to me. I will embrace this challenge with fun knowing this is a big learning curve. I am very excited signing up to this and look forward meeting new friends and being part of an amazing supporting team 🤩0

Hi all, looking forward to learning some healthy habits.
Quick question... do we need the ebooks2read app? Seems pretty expensive. Thanks in advance for any assistance.0 -

I Don't use it.
The thing that helped me most my first go around was a digital food scale and the food diary. I logged everything and ensured that I kept within my calorie intake for the day.
I measured everything! If I ate it, I measured it. That included condiments, they can actually be killers if you don't watch them.
Once I started weighing and measuring everything and logging it, it was a game changer for me. In the year and a half before that I went from 250ish to 230ish. After I started using MFP and measuring I dropped 20 pounds in the first 6 months. And eventually got down to 180, before suffering a major setback. But I'm on my way back again.
You can do this.

Hello Sarah, I would suggest seeing a nutritionist. They can workout a plan to ensure you have a healthy path to weight gaining.
Good luck with your fitness goals.1 -
Hey y'all, so I've been here before. I'm the heaviest I've been. I am suffering from major depression and anxiety and I binged a ton. I'm working to break that cycle. I've also been diagnosed with PCOS, so I'm trying to ease into Keto. Add me so we can keep in touch!2

I’m new. I’m preparing for weight loss surgery. My doctor wants me to lose 10 to 30 pounds before I get my date. So far doing ok. Could definitely use some motivation and support.2

I was away from MFP for a while but I'm back now.
I remember before I went away that when I clicked on "my meals" I would get an alphabetized listing of my meals. Now I just get a listing, unalphabetized. Has an alphabetized listing been done away with or else what am I doing wrong?

Hey guys, my name is Monica, my friends call me Mon. I’m 24 years old.
I have always struggled with my weight, while I was younger I always thought that was overweight and I was very uncomfortable in my own body. It’s funny how you can convince yourself to feel so negatively when it comes to your own body, it’s so easy to do, so I got into the whole gym thing, not really to lose weight but to change my mindset and it was great!
Until a year ago....
One year ago I was struggling with multiple issues through out my body, exteam tiredness, joint pain in my whole body, poor circulation, pins and needles, migraines, fluid in my legs, my kidneys weren’t filtering properly, multiple blood clots blocking blood flow through out my whole right leg, which resulted in ending up in emergency with a Pulmonary Embolism, to be told I have a blood syndrome, Factor IV (clotting factor) and multiple auto-immune positives, yet to be diagnosed. All these issues went on for months and months without any help, I was in and out of the Emergency/doctors/specialist with no answers, until the PE happened.
I am now on warfarin for the rest of my life, with these issues that have left my body riddled with pain.
I’ve gained weight from not being able to move & exercise, mentally I’m probably at my worst in terms of body positivity and head space, but I am so bloody keen to bounce back from this and be happy and feel good again !
Needing all the support I can get !
Hope everyone is having a lovely day, speak soon xx4 -

Hi everyone. I am looking for like-minded people for motivation and encouragement! In January of 2017 I weighed 311, I lost 107 lbs in around 18 months, but now I have gained almost half of that back because I let life get in the way. I want to steadily get back to where I was so I can get to my goal weight and be as healthy as I can be. I would love to connect with people who are also looking to lose a large amount of weight, 75-100 lbs or more even. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated as I am also just getting back into running again!2

Hello all, my name is Amy. I'm 25 years old, 5'2", and I currently weigh about 260 lbs. While I don't have (or want) a goal weight, I'm gunning for 20% body fat. I have been obese for as long as I can remember. I finally decided to grow up and look at myself holistically, acknowledging that I've treated myself like garbage. I'm not here to try getting healthy. I'm here to become a queen. A woman who meets her needs (physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally), has standards, enforces boundries, continuously grows, and, above all else, has true self respect. This is do or die for me, because failure means killing the queen inside.

Hi everyone!
My name is Chelsea and I'm 21 and 5'9".
I'm on the app because this summer I lived in a rainforest and lost 45 pounds from my original 234lbs. However, now back in the US it is hard to keep the weight off and lose more to get to a 20% body fat instead. According to my doctor, I need to lose another 40lbs to be at the goal, but I'll focus on building muscle as I lose fat (so I don't want to base my life on a scale number). I'm mainly working by taking body measurements to track muscle growth.
Hoping to make some friends here!

Hi all I'm 27 5'4 305lbs woman! I am looking to lose at least 150lbs all while becoming healthy and building muscle! This isn't my first rodeo and I often don't make it very far. I really want to do it this time. I have been obese my entire life! I don't know what it's like to be thin nor look it! I want to be healthy I've become a more positive person and I'm noticing a change on the inside. I am ready for my change to show outwardly as well. I am unsure how to add people but I am looking for lots of motivation and fun people to go through this journey with so add me! Good luck to everyone in their journeys I am rooting for all of you! #KeepGoing
