09/10 121.9 Fast start to the round! A 1.3 drop is likely a water whoosh (particularly after the drops in last round at the end), so expecting weight tomorrow will be back up! (will enjoy the drop for now LOL) Ate lunch out and tried to guesstimate, and may end up being over for the day on calories. Dinner tonight was from SunBasket (which provides total macros, but not for the ingredients) - I did not use all of the dressing/oil so that may balance everything out in the end! Good day on exercise.
09/11 122.6 up as predicted, but really on track and part of my typical weight loss pattern. Girl Power this morning and spin for cardio later in the day. Having pasta tonight so need to preplan carbs and fat for the day to try to stay on track.

09/14 122.4 Xtrain + workout Stage 2A from Strong. Over did wine and had a great dinner out (was low carb at least other than the wine) so treated last night as a cheat night. Nice to see weight did not

09/16 122.4 Busy with work so catching up on posting for the last few days! Weight has been hovering in the 122.X's for the last several days after initial whoosh. But gain from yesterday is muscle according to scale, so will take that as a plus! Girl power this am (working on bench press primarily (starting at 55 lbs), but also did a lot of quad work with walking lunges. Spin class for cardio this evening. weight training often leads to a slight bump (DOMS, water retention with muscle repair) and dinner tonight accidentally had too much salt (needed to replenish some after spin class though :-) but calories should be good for the day so will just wait and see what tomorrow brings!
09/17 122.4 My bio-impedance scale is still at 122.4 (but shows skeletal muscle increased a little so that's a win!), however my old scale read 122.0 (normally with calibration they are within 0.1 to 0.2 pounds of each other.) Still dealing with food retention, so increased fiber this morning. With weights and spin workouts weight often goes up (and scale is not the best measure of progress!) Today is cardio day - spin this morning before work and might try to get in another workout after work as daughter wants to have cheese and spinach ravioli for dinner with a butter/cream sauce. Sometimes it is those cheat meals that are just the trick to break through the plateaus! Still 2 days left to the round and I am not singing yet! NSV: found an old dress from the 90's navy with chartreuse polka dots back when I was in much better shape - fits great, but man those shoulder pads have got to go!

09/10 197.8 (+1.0)/ 29.2%. Late weigh in after breakfast but it is what it is. I may have a number goal for this challenge. But my challenge to myself is to be better than I’ve been. With the help of a few people I believe I can!!!
09/11 197.0 (-.8) yesterday when I thought I didn’t have it in me. When I didn’t want to do anything. I went to the gym on no sleep. Then forced myself to do cardio later. Although when I finish these small accomplishments I feel great, I’m more proud I didn’t just say “it can wait till tomorrow”. Let’s see what today brings me. Although Wednesday’s usually put me in a good mood.
09/12 197.0 (+/- 0)/ 29.0% (-.2%) didn’t really feel like weighing in. Been a looonnngggg exhausting morning and this is the first time I’ve had to take a minute to myself and breathe. Weighed in (only because talked me into it) after being awake for 7 hours, eating a full breakfast, almost half a gallon of water and a workout. The number isn’t too bad for how my day is going so far.

09/10:209.8 Hardly drank any water yesterday and hardly drank any water today. I ate 2 snacks yesterday evening and even though I had the calories for the 2nd snack I wasn't hungry and I only ate it because I had the calories...need to work on that.
09/11:209.4 Was busy at work again and didn't drink as much water as I should have. Went out to lunch today and met with my strength coach.
09/12:208.5 Had a great workout yesterday, but the dog woke me up early this morning so sleep wasn't great. It was a busy week in court this week, so I left work early today. I'm going to take the dog on a short hike this afternoon as it looks like this will be the last sunny day for awhile.
09/13:208.7 Even though I had another night of horrible sleep, I still went to the gym at 6 this morning. Movie and dinner tonight, so I wanted to make sure I got my workout in this morning.
09/14:208.1 Went out to dinner last night and going out to a movie today. I'm kind of surprised about the drop in weight today because I thought there would be instant water retention from dinner last night, and the fact that I didn't drink much water yeseterday, but it could also show up on the scale tomorow. Goal is to get water in today.
09/15:209.2 Uptick is due to movie popcorn and lack of water. Strength coach today. It will be raining all day so plan is to watch football and do things around the house including finish putting up pictures over the fireplace.
09/16: 208.5 There goes some of the water weight. My husband started up again on MFP about three weeks ago, he hasn't weighed himself since he started, and this morning he weighed himself and realized that he had lost 15lbs! He also started weight training with his PT. I am very excited for him.
09/17:208.1 There goes the rest of the water weight, but I did do some extra snacking yesterday even though I wasn't hungry. Supposed to go to a book club meeting tonight...it's the first time I've been able to actually finish the book so I think I should go.

09/13 - 268.0 probably dropped some water weight plus had not eaten in several hours when I weighed in. My goal is to keep the focus over the weekend which will be difficult because we are out of town and not cooking our own food. But it comes down to making good choices, its my call.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

9/10: 223.8 (0.0)/18.9 (0.0). No change is a good thing. Feeling a little bloated and/or "off" this morning. Not sure what it is, but I know my wife is sick or getting sick. I probably did not make good food choices yesterday, but I stayed within my calorie goal. EDIT: In the interest of being completely accountable, I have to acknowledge that I am not feeling particulary motivated today. I was going to just ignore it (I didn't write about it in my first draft of my post), but I really don't want to "get lost" again. I need to be here, probably more on my bad days than my good.
9/11: 224.2 (+0.4)/18.9 (0.0). I'm going to chalk up this weigh-in to the mood I started out with yesterday. I think I recovered relatively well as the day went by, and I didn't make any horrible food choices (except the "later" night coconut paleta). I kind of needed that paleta; it was delicious! My wife and I will be headed to the gym tonight (she is feeling better @mrs_sutsie ). I'm mostly feeling better, too. The gym means I can get a salad tonight from Cook's Tortas, which is always an amazing experience (you know what I'm talking about @Anlaing016 ).
9/12: 222.8 (-1.4)/18.8 (-0.1). I did not make it to the gym last night, but I'm going to go today. I was under my goal for calories last night, and pretty on-target with my macros. This wasn't a WHOOSH, but it was probably a whoosh. My neck/upper back are really sore today, but I'm not going to let that throw me off.

Still, I kept it under control for the most part; I had another paletta (160 calories or so) and 1/4 to 1/3 of a bag of dark chocolate covered berries (200 to 260 calories). I'm not overly concerned with the bump, but I'm trying to limit the duration of my "relapse." It was not that intense, and when I woke up this morning, it was over. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

My one day "lapse" turned into me getting sick and having more like a four-day relapse, really. I still weighed-in every day, even if I didn't post. I'm still here. And, like I said, I can see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel. Outside of being here, I reached out for some help recently (and I'm continuing to do so even as I write this, more than I have in years). I'm really trying to look for a silver lining right now. I'm also trying not to beat myself up too badly.

No more popcorn...

I noticed a change in my leg shape today from my walking (I started walking 3 weeks ago, changing nutrition began this week) so it's not all bad 2.5 hour walk around Dights Falls.

9/16 122.0 I’m okay with this. The retreat was FANTASTIC! Good to have a weekend away with my gal pals although DH says I can never go away without him again. (That’s nice to hear after almost 50 years.) I got over 100% of my step goal each of the last 4 days. The a/c went out in my car which wasn’t a good thing since it was over 100 degrees everywhere.
9/17 121.5 I’m so upset. It’s going to be really expensive to replace the a/c unit in my car. Bad enough that we will probably just trade it in on a newer but not NEW model. 9/10 - 155.5 - after 2 days of not weighing, it’s nice to see this drop. My SO thinks I’m not eating because I’m basically just eating OMAD. I’m eating when I’m hungry, just not as much as I used to and not giving in to all of the cravings. Craving fish, so that’s what’s coming out of the freezer for today.

09/10: 204.2! Coming down again from my frustrating jump up at the end of last round. Hopefully releasing water weight. Trying to stick well to my food and exercise goals and trying to drink lots of water to reduce water retention. IDK if that's actually true or not, but I remember hearing somewhere that drinking more keeps you from holding on to water weight as much. Had a good day of work today, hoping to be more productive in that sphere as well. Was letting depression get the better of me the past couple weeks and my productivity definitely took a toll.
09/11: 205... Well, I just don't know why. Had almost no appetite so did not overeat yesterday at all and yet here we are with a bump. Nothing to do but push forward... Keep sticking to it and hope for some progress. I knew losing weight with PCOS is tough so I just need to be tougher.

09/14: 202.8! Omygosh! So happy 😊 went for a really long kayak and saw loads of otters and seals. My first time seeing otters, so amazing. Was hard to focus my camera on them with the strong winds blowing me away. Had a great time and ate very healthy before and after.
09/15: 202.2!! Wow! Did lots of chores. Trimmed my hedges and now my forearms are ready to explode. Eating healthy and trying to be productive with chores today

One of those days where I was so busy working in the lab, I forgot to decontaminate and go eat/drink/take any break whatsoever. 17/09 157.8 (+0.8) 18.000 steps, small run. No idea why that went up, I was really active yesterday, I think maybe I didn’t drink enough.
18/09 17/09 (-0.0) 12.997 steps, W6R1 done. I thought I’d see a drop today, but no, oh well, it’s still better than I hoped so far. So yesterday I went to the gym to do my run during lunch time. I don’t get as much enjoyment during lunch time as it’s a race to get back to the office while trying not to look like you’re sweating buckets even with a quick shower at the gym but unfortunately with my daughter back at school it’s hard to find some free time to run in the evening. Today is a rest day, I didn’t sleep much as I woke up before 5am with aches and pains and by the time the painkiller kicked in it was time to get up.

09/10 80.9 kg My biggest challenge today will be to avoid snacking when playing games with my friends tonight.
09/11 81.1 kg (+0.2kg) I didn’t not avoid snacking yesterday with my friends! -.-
09/12 81 kg (+0.1kg) Did a lot of exercise yesterday and ate around 1600 calories.
09/13 81 kg (+0.1kg) I am been doing blogilates 100ab and glute challenge these last days. My body is sore! Think I am going to try to eat more low carb-meals from now. In my experience it is usually easier for me to stay to my calorie goal if I don’t eat to many carbs.
09/14 ??kg I did not have access to a scale yesterday.
09/15 81.6kg (+0.8kg) I walked over 10 km on both friday and saturday. So I am happy with that. I was eating out a lot and it is impossible to count calories then. Did chose the healthy options, but I am still bloated today from the wine I drank yesterday.
09/16 80.8kg (-0.1kg) Low carb meals is already making a big difference. I do not feel hungry at all staying with my calorie goal of 1600 calories a day. And it looks like it is helping with my bloat as well
09/17 80.8kg (-0.1kg) There is a lot of stress right now. Quite happy with myself for not turning to food and snacks to deal with it though
09/18 80.1kg (-0.8kg) Did a lot of exercise yesterday. Using jump rope to work on my cardio… it feels very effective

Time for a post holiday / kids back to school re-set.
My aim is to be back to my pre holiday weight of 133 less a pound or two by the end of September (end of round 90).
Target for this round is to get back to normal eating, logging everything, planning and prepping properly and getting my water intake back up - like many people, it all slipped a bit post holiday and with the kids being off. Target for this round is to see 136lb. This is my round to get re-focused

09/10 - 138.1lb (-2.2lb) Yay - that's some of the weekend roast gone - same every week and "excess" usually gone by mid week so hopefully I'll see another drop tomorrow morning. Good day planned today and like feeling a bit more back in control
09/11 - 137.3lb (-0.8lb) That'll do thank you! So pretty much back to where I was after my holidays so 3.5lb up overall as got to 133.8lb before my holiday. So onwards and downwards towards that number again - aiming to get back to 133lb by around the end of September (end of R90 / R91)
09/12 - 137.6lb (+0.3lb) Fine with this small upward blip as at least it means this weight is probably a true weight and my weight loss often goes down for a few days then a blip upwards. Food was all good yesterday although I did spend an hour just sitting in front of the TV yesterday when I got in from work doing absolutely nothing except drinking coffee which I never normally do as felt really tired But first full week of the girls in their new schools and college plus hubby been away all week too so need to give myself a bit of a break!
Food planned along with a gym session tonight so should be a good day ahead

09/16 - DNW - Totally crazy weekend. Grandkids over after school Friday to stay over so had a movie and popcorn night with them plus our two. They went home lunchtime Saturday then headed straight out to the girls cheerleading team Picnic for the afternoon (tried to make the best of the terribly unhealthy - so very tempting and rather nice - food that was available). Yesterday during the day was fine with our usual full on roast last night then me and hubby went out for the evening and had a drink and shared a bag of sweets at the show so bed later than normal for a Sunday and so laid in for an extra 10 minutes this morning and didn't remember to weigh in until I'd already had my morning cup of tea But good food day planned and back to proper tracking today and still aiming to finish in the 136's for the round. 09/17 - 139.6lb (+2.8lb) as a result of my not so great weekend food-wise, topped with TOM imminent plus I have been eating more carbs the last few days as doing a (walking) marathon on Saturday night so trying to eat a few more carbs than usual this week ready for a pastabake dinner Saturday before the walk! So am feeling a bit bloated although not sure how much of it is down to the weekend / TOM or the carbs? Either way, I'm back to tracking properly for the rest of the week
09/18 - 138.8lb (-0.8lb) That will do to start. Still want to get back to my pre holiday weight by the end of September so 5lb to go ...... Usual gym sessions twice a week booked in, plenty of exercise on Saturday doing my marathon - just need to keep properly focused on my food and keep logging!

Would a late piloxing class, followed by a late omelette, followed the next morning by weighing in 2.5 hours earlier that normal - affect weight? Was SO hoping and expecting a drop today.
This is my 2nd round. Finished the last round poorly purely due to TOM, cake and wine.
Determined this time. Id love to get as close as possible to 140 this round.
10th Sept: 142.75. Happy with this drop from yesterdays high. Ate within calories, almost hit macros, and walked the dog when son was training so hit 13k steps.
11th Sept: 140.25. THRILLED with this drop, considering the weekend I've had last weekend. Hit 16k steps last night and did a piloxing class. I cannot wait to see the 130's on the scales. I know it'll fluctuate up and down but I cant help even imagining seeing 13x on the scales this round. Rest day today. Son has match again tonight, I'll still him my10k steps.
12th Sept: 139.75. Absolutely buzzing off my head. Haven't been here in 6 years. No exercise yesterday as son had match. Got 9k steps. Ate within calories. Planning on a run in the woods with the dogs tonight. Have chicken and spuds in the slow cooker for dinner tonight.
13th Sept: 140.75. No reason for the increase, just one of those things. Stayed within calories. Didn't go running. Was absolutely shattered, went to bed at 8:15pm and slept till 6:20am. Feel great this morning. Have piloxing tonight. Note to self: Don't do chicken in a slow cooker - fell to absolute pieces and I couldn't decipher meat from bones from skin!!
14th Sept: 139.25 yes!!
15th Sept: 140.5.
16th Sept: 143.5 Was expecting this. Was at a BBQ yesterday and had burgers, beer and cake! Was VERY uncomfortable for the night, I felt so full. Only got 5k steps in too. Back on the wagon today. Have walk planned with the dogs tonight. Drinking all the water today...hoping to get back down to normalish weight by Wednesday.
17th Sept: 142.5. Pulling it back slowly from the carnage that was the weekend. Good day yesterday. Ran the woods with the dogs in the rain. Very refreshing. On track for a good day today too. Have piloxing class tonight.
18th Sept: 142.5. Was expecting a bit of a drop so I'm disappointed with this. Although I had a late piloxing class followed by a late omelette, and was up at 4am for work and weighed myself. Usually weigh around 6:30am. Would all these things make a difference? Today will be another on track day, rest day but will still hit my 10k steps. Bed early tonight for sure!

09/10: 136.8, have dinner with a friend tonight and a tennis lesson so hopefully the additional exercise of a lesson will combat some of the eating out aspect of the day.
09/11: 136.6, woke up with a dry throat so have a feeling I picked something up from my niece when I babysat her. Today have a family members birthday dinner out at a restaurant I really love, but might just go with soup to better my odds of getting well. Officially have a 25.9 BMI so only .9 to healthy. I started in the 32s I believe so what a difference 10 months is.
09/12:136.1, officially have a cold so didn’t go to the gym yesterday and won’t go today either. Going to sleep today to try to kick this as fast as I can
09/13: 135.9, so sick of being in bed but feel better than yesterday so I think it’s working. I have a concert on Sunday that I really hope I’m going to be ok for!
09/14: 135.7, I’m still not 100%, but hope to go back to working out a bit tomorrow or Monday
09/15: 135.7, feel much better today, but woke up very thirsty so will prioritIze water today. It’s been very warm here so might try to get some of the liquid in with popsicles for my throat at well.
09/16: 135.4, went to a concert yesterday and ate and drank more than usual, which is usually seen in 2-3 days on the scale. Hoping to be really tight on my food consumption the next 4 days to combat it.
09/17: 135.7, good day yesterday, but still haven’t gone back to exercising after being sick. I hope to be back at the gym by Wednesday. I also need to drink more water. Hoping to stay below 136 for the rest of the round.
09/18: 135.7, Going to try to take a group class today, but will make sure I make substitutions since still a bit congested. Happy to be holding steady under 136.
