Who recommended the Think Thin kids bar? I was iffy on trying it since the chocolate on the adult Think Thin bar I tried was waxy but the kids version is reeeeally good! I tried the chocolate chip and also bought the vanilla cupcake which I'll try at some point. I have a lot of chocolate peanut butter stuff around so held off on buying that flavor.

Glad you liked it! I have tried the chocolate chip and the cookies and cream, but I haven’t tried the cupcake.

@arya8 Yes! I had that as well and loved! Feels like a lot of few for so few calories. I found at Tuesday Morning a while back as a random find so excited to hear cvs carries them now!

If white means white chocolate that would be really good! People who thought white meant white chocolate on Kit Kats and Reeses were made fun of on here for thinking it meant white chocolate so I no longer assume.

A lot of people think "white" candy means "white chocolate"--so many that there is currently a lawsuit because some people feel mislead that such candies were not actually white chocolate: https://thetakeout.com/white-chocolate-fake-lawsuit-nestle-1838507196

If someone doesn't know much about chocolate and they see a "white" version of a candy that's normally...well, chocolate flavored at least...then I can see why they'd be confused. I don't think it's fair to make fun of them. I think the marketing is intentionally vague.

Anyway, that "Hershey's White" bar is not white chocolate. There is small print at the bottom that says "white creme." It is probably something like vanilla flavored vegetable fat.

Wait... I'm confused. What is the difference between white and white chocolate??

Candy that’s just marketed as white may be vegetable fat with flavoring. It does not necessarily have any cocoa butter in it. White chocolate is made from cocoa butter, with sugar and milk added.

Wow, I am embarrassed to say I am one of those people who always thinks white looking things that are normally chocolate is white chocolate, lol. Now I know why ACTUAL white chocolate from a specialty store tastes so much different. I am sure it is more expensive to use actual white chocolate which is why they always use the white "cream".

I always assumed they were white chocolate too. Specialty store white chocolate is awesome, I used to buy a chunk of white chocolate from the bakery down the street with my allowance. Is it any wonder I'm on MFP as an adult!

Well, is actual white chocolate even considered true chocolate??

Nestle's has a new chip product that is called "Simply" There are dark, semi-sweet, and white chocolate chip. The "simply line is just 3-5 ingredients and ALL contain real chocolate, either solids or cocoa butter . There is NO MILK in the white chips.

The Nestle product is marketed as “white morsels” and its webpage doesn’t use the term “white chocolate” at all. That may be because white chocolate typically does contain milk products. It may also be because white chocolate usually does not contain things like tapioca starch that are in these chips. https://www.verybestbaking.com/products/11991/tollhouse/simply-delicious-white-morsels-by-nestle-toll-house

Edit: Here are some white chocolate chips that are marketed as such, so folks can see the difference.
Guittard: https://www.guittard.com/our-chocolate/detail/choc-au-lait-baking-chips (they are called "vanilla" on the website, but also called "white chocolate")

@apullum you should right a book... haha. Do you have experience working in the chocolate biz?!

Nope, no professional experience in chocolate. I'm just a chocolate snob :)

    I respect you!

My chocolate spreadsheet is up to 122 entries now :) In my day job, I'm a professor of things that aren't related to chocolate, but there is always chocolate in my office.

Found some new brands for you... @apullum

Got these via another targeted Facebook refund ad. Facebook can track me all they like if they give me free food. 😆The whole shebang flavor was really good. It was like everything bagel flavor. They are thick and have a graham like consistency to them.

The cinnamon was my favorite! They are like the cinnamon thinables crackers but extra thick. They could of used more sugar but I have a sweet tooth. I dipped them in maple almond butter.

The sesame was good, liked the subtle sweetness.

The plain Jane was boring and bland.

I haven’t tried the mint chocolate yet because I usually dislike mint chocolate but I will comment if they are anything special once my boyfriend eats them. (Otherwise not worth mentioning lol)

Not really new, but every year for the past few years I get this pudding at a local orchard when I go strawberry or apple picking. This year they didn't have it and I was so bummed. Then I was looking for dairy free yogurt at my local grocery store and ended up in the pudding section and found it! When you're used to Snack Packs or boxed instant pudding, this stuff tastes luxurious. I suppose this is how pudding should always taste, but I honestly don't know because I've never had good quality (premium?) pudding.

Make your own pudding. It’s pretty easy and a world of difference in taste. I have never noticed the Echo Farms puddings though.

I haven’t had a Fiber One brownie in YEARS... since when did they change the recipe!?! I remember them being 90 calories and mediocre, now they’re 70 calories and a lot sweeter!? I noticed it’s made with erythritol... which I’m obsessed with (hence why I eat so much halo top and enlightened). I got a family size of 18 brownies and they’re all definitely going to be gone by Friday...

I bought the Great Value fiber brownies a couple days ago and noticed that they're still 90 calories and the the Fiber One brownies are 70, so it's recent enough that Walmart hasn't tried to knock off the new version. I think it happened with the package change in the past 3-6 months some time.

I think the change was over the summer. From what I read, a lot of people hated the new recipe, so I haven't tried it. If you all like it, I'm more open to trying it, but I wish I could find a single brownie instead of having to buy the box.

I bought the Great Value fiber brownies a couple days ago and noticed that they're still 90 calories and the the Fiber One brownies are 70, so it's recent enough that Walmart hasn't tried to knock off the new version. I think it happened with the package change in the past 3-6 months some time.

I noticed them at Target a few months ago, but haven’t purchased them for a long time. Does anyone know if they’ve made them smaller, or just less calories?

Not new and not a product but I've finally discovered mixing sugar free fat free jello in with greek yogurt.

My nightly snack for the past 10 years has been SF jello pudding + yogurt or pumpkin. So good!

Sugar free jello is good mixed in with cottage cheese too.

New freeze dried purple sweet potato bits from Penzey's. I have no idea what I'd do with it, but I want it. You can currently get it free with purchase in the stores or online: https://www.penzeys.com/online-catalog/potato-of-love/c-24/p-3247/pd-s
