Just started logging again yesterday after seeing how "untracked maintenance over the summer" worked ... not badly, actually. Stayed pretty stable. Never went outside my target range (even if my over-all trending-average was closer to the 138-139 lb range than the 135 end)
Foreseeable Struggles for the upcoming week - My 61st B'day today (bakery pumpkin pie with real Whipping Cream is a non-negotiable!!! but did cut back on lunch and snack to where exercise calories needed to stay "in the green" today are doable) - Canadian Thanksgiving weekend dinner on Saturday Oct 12; AND the best-type-of-all Girl Guide Chocolate Mint cookies are out! I have a box at home, and I had to ignore the carton of boxes for sale in the lunch-room .... and my hubby is pre-diabetic so any not finished by company on Saturday will eventually be eaten by me .... (Ration them! Ration them!). And the Pumpkin Seed Dark Chocolate Bark Thins are back .... ( "HEY! Has that been WEIGHED yet !?!?! Log it! Put some back and re-weigh .... ok - you can eat it now ... " )
I love pumpkin-spice anything - so some time before the month is over a mini Dairy Queen Blizzard will be happening .... haven't 100% decided if the Tim Horton's Pumpkin Spice muffin will be a "must have at some point" this year or not. For the rest of the year, I get my "fix" via a tin of Pumpkin Pie Spice mix (from the bakery aisle, near the paprika) that I sprinkle on / stir into sooooo many things like yoghurt, coffee, on top of peanut-butter&banana on toast ....

I’ve logged part time this week. Having a hard time getting below 1700 but I’m supposed to be at 1400 before exercise. Trying to get an idea where I need to be after exercise. My hubby, who’s aiming for 1 lb a week gets 50% MORE calories than me. Kinda depressing. However, it looks like I’ve started to trend downward.6 -

Success(es)/struggles of the week: Just had the most dreadful few days of my life – my son has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. He had been struggling for some months with a range of problems put down to depression, anxiety etc but finally convinced someone to do more investigations and on Tuesday evening he called to tell me about the brain tumour. He lives about 100 miles from me with his wife and two small children, so I have been with them the last couple of days. He is in hospital now, having a biopsy this morning (should have been yesterday but was bumped by other emergencies). I came home last night, but I’m off to the hospital soon and just taking one day at a time just now.
Needless to say, my life has been turned upside down, but I need to be strong and as fit and healthy as possible for the family.

Struggling: a bit with my purpose in life. Getting healthy, building an exercise program, losing weight, figuring out how to maintain, recovering from two surgeries & two 6 month rounds of PT & daily PT exercises KEPT ME BUSY.
Then I ventured into making art, which I love & do. I need to work to decide whether the art has value. It helps me relax & be happy but I sometimes question whether I should be helping others more.
Then, I remember how when I was most sick. It was the art & music that others created that helped me the most. I have to rewrite my brain, I guess. And get my art out into the world9 -

Progress is slow on my C25k program - I finally completed day 1 and today I’m attempting day 2 for the second time. Feeling much better about eating more. I’m not feeling hungry at all right now.4 -

Success of the week: I kept my average weight in my goal range all week even though the scale dipped below the first couple days. The scale is up three pounds from seven days ago, my ten-day average is up 0.8 pounds, and my weekly average went up 0.9. I'm ok with this since I'm still near the bottom of my goal range.
Struggle of the week: It looks like I won't be revising my goal down, at least not this week. I'm glad I didn't do it prematurely. I was enjoying seeing the lower number, and it may be back. I had some less-than-idea food choices this week.1 -

Weight on Monday was 47.9 kg.
I'm supposed to be aiming for 49 kg.
As you can imagine, I'm not logging or estimating calories in or out. I'm driving up and down the motorway a lot and not at home much. Son had a biopsy a few days ago, is home now.7
