I did really well in September, and I held steady the first two weeks in October. Except the last couple days. I gave myself permission to splurge as I had been below goal, but now that's got to stop.

1st day back to my scale. I don't know what my starting point was for the month, I will use the 7th.
October 07 - 156.7 - Hard to believe that I actually lost weight on my vacation to Dallas, what with Texas bbq, Taquieras, Margaritas etc. Mind you, I ice skated almost every day. Very pleased.
October 08 - 160.3 - That gain in one days seems kind of crazy since I had good workouts and was well within my eating levels. Perhaps I had been dehydrated from the flights and am hydrated again.
October 09 - 159.3
October 10 - 159.9
October 11 - 159.6
October 12 - 158.0
October 13 - 158.1 - Thanksgiving dinner tonight, but going to eat very light beforehand to save up calories for stuffing and gravy etc.
October 14 - 159.8 - This could go up a little more still as all of that fabulous food and drink settles in.4 -

Good things this week
I intentionally exercised twice and me tmy step goal every day.
My eating habits during the work week were good.
I didn't eat chips the afternoon of our thanksgiving meal.
I've scheduled an appointment with a counsellor to talk about my anxiety /stress in dealing with my son.
Not so great stuff
My eating fell apart when we went for supper Friday night. I did have a salad but we also ordered a bread type appetizer.
I hosted Thanksgiving yesterday so I need to restrain my self with leftovers.
I had my physical and my blood pressure was hovering around 140/95. So weird for me because until my third pregnancy, I was never over 90/60 and I had low blood pressure issues. I still have to do blood work and I know cholesterol will be high too.

I am aware that this happens when I have 2000 calories on Sat, 1900 on Sunday and only sleep 4 hours last night. I ate everything I wanted and a little more this weekend.
Besides this gain - I am very happy with how old dresses fit
Gotta keep aiming for my goal after all I have done. Cheers!

So...... how’s everyone doing this month?
Are you all happy with your progress?
I’m super proud of you all
Is everyone looking forward to Halloween? Or dreading it?
I personally was dreading it, I have a major sweet tooth!! but then I got to thinking.. my son doesnt.. he’s 4, and prefers fruit over sweets anyday! So I decided to take him to a Halloween party (for children) at one of the local pubs (family friendly pub btw lol) instead of trick or treating this year.
Mostly because he doesn’t eat enough sweets to get through the amount he gets, so I end up eating them too
My family are putting together some little goody bags for him though, so he won’t be going without his Halloween supply lol.
Anyone else with small children and not sure how to avoid the sugar craze?
Or does sweet treats simply not bother you?
Share some ideas and stories, you never know who they could be helping out xx3 -

@syreina I've gained a few this month too pretty much for the same reason as you. eat too many calories one day or two and being a lil sick which has killed my active vibe. Not too mention I've been struggling with sleep. However, after seeing roughly a 3lb gain the first two weeks I'm slowing trying to push through being sleep deprived and sick. slowly but surely getting back on track. You seem to still be working hard though so keep up the great work and you've come a ling way since 2017 so stay motivated and doing what you've been doing.5

Being consistent. 2 weeks down 4 pounds. Keeping it going, focus and keep pedaling.
Made Zucchini boats, ground beef, homemade pizza sauce, some cheese and veges low carb. Pretty tasty, enough for dinner or lunch 4 times. Each week I plan to try something new main meal wise. Keep it interesting.
Made Pumpkin Oatmeal Bars kept 6 out, split with hubby put rest in freezer. Only 63 calories in each one. And so tasty. Not bad for carbs either.
Making fathead dough new to me tomorrow Thursday.
Weigh in dates moving around some this month. But downward we all shall go!

My kids are so excited for Halloween!! If you don’t want the candy in the house there is a thing called a “Switch Witch” look it up online. She takes the candy and leaves one special toy in place.
What I do is everything in moderation, so I make sure that I log whatever I eat. Even if I go over on my calories.4 -

@amya71006 Thank you! It definitely helps to keep my focus on how far I have come since 2017.
We are starting to get back into our 6am workouts so getting up at 5am has been difficult as well as going to sleep between 8pm to 10pm. When we were steadily into our workouts, I would have the occasional day of waking up at 4am or 5am and not being able to go back to sleep so I can relate to the sleep struggles. I'm hoping it doesn't happen this time around. I may have to start taking sleeping pills.
The good thing is that once you are no longer sick, you can get your active vibe back too. Try not to stress too much about it - we have all been there. Keep up the great work too!2
