I'm in for November! Congratulations to all who accomplished their October goals! I did not and so I'm back this month a little stronger and more determined to make it a 100% sober month. So far I am on track...!!! I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!6

Really failed/let myself down last month. I'm sitting here frustrated/angry with something that someone else has done and this, yes this, triggered me to want to drink tonight. What a stupid reason to drink?!? I know in a few days my feelings/thoughts over this person will simmer down... There's a country song (I don't know who sings it) that says "baby, you ain't worth the whiskey..." It's not anyone who really matters to me or that I even care about; I'm just irritated.
I want one month where I don't eff up... I had almost 4,700 calories consumed on the 30th. Most were not alcohol calories but they were definitely a food/booze binge combination. I think I'm going to go out for a run... I do not know who said it first but I know Oprah Winfrey quoted it that..."living well is the best revenge..."
Let's help each other through this. It's so hard for me, sometimes, and then the only person I'm pissed at after I've drank is the one that I'm looking at in the mirror. It's such a waste for so many reasons... Thank you for the support...11 -

Girl.....you are writing what so many of us have gone through. It is not easy and certainly not fair when we try our damnist to reduce our alcohol consumption and some stupid thing messes it up.
Deep breath, tomorrow is a new day. And you know for sure we are all going to be here. HUGS!4 -
@MissMay, thank you... I did end up going for a run and I feel better...I'm going to put on a movie and chillax now. I did not drink, though, so I will go to sleep and wake up and not feel guilty.
BRAVO. So we can chalk you up for two successful nights in November? Have a good rest, you will feel better in the AM.4 -
Way to be strong @LoveyChar3

My goal is 16-20 AF days for the month.
I didn't get there in October, ended up with 10 or 11AF days. Daily drinking is so very easy to slip back into!
November 01 - AF - Really felt like having drinks, but didn't.
November 02 - AF - Worked my *kitten* off in the yard and again really wanted drinks afterward.
Running tally 2AF days out of 2 days so far : - )6 -
I kinda sort of satisfied my urge:
And yes, we have French on all of our products here lol.7 -
Great job, everyone! @LoveyChar, nice job working through that! It’s hard when strong emotions come up and we want to get rid of them in that moment.
@dawnbgethealthy, starting strong! Nice work!
I’m traveling for work tonight and tomorrow. My plan is to not drink until Friday the 8th. It will be tough to resist not having a couple when I get home late on Monday but I’ll feel better the next morning and I plan to schedule an early workout class that day.
2/2 AF for me.

6:29 am in Vegas another 24 💖 awesome job on getting thru @LovelyChar8
-
Thank you everyone for the support and encouragement. I hope y'all are doing well.4

Three for three AF so far! It gets easier the more days away from my last drink. Plus I feel so much better in the morning.
@dawnbgethealthy I love love love that Perrier in a cool martini glass! I think a fancy glass makes AF drinks so much more special. I too did not have many AF drinks as I planned in October, want to get back on track for this month
@LoveyChar we’ve all been there. You can do it.4 -
Planning for No Dtinks November following a completely Sober October.
Oct - AF 31 of 31
Nov 1 - AF
Nov 2 - 2 drinks - very disappointed that I used the excuse of stress caused by working too much to break the promise I made to myself. I really wanted to continue Sober October into November.
Nov 3 - AF6 -

Yes, I chilled the glass in the freezer, and gulped gulped gulped that Perrier really wishing for a cocktail instead. Lol, had that really been Martinis and I drank 500ml (16oz?) I would have puked my guts out.
I definitely have to keep doing that sort of stuff to cut back on the drinking that basically turned me back to "drinks every day" girl. Time to moderate for sure!1 -

November 03 - 3 drinks hours ago at a friend's place. Not planned. My plan is for drinks on Tuesdays and either Saturday OR Sunday, although I have two theatre outings (involving wine) on Thursdays this month, but will try to keep it to 2-3 days per week.
OMG, just discovered what "kitten" is!! I have asked people what that meant and didn't get a reply. I see that what I wrote in my last post got rewritten as "kitten". Hahaha : - ) So MFP is somehow listening. Then how about a "woo-hoo!!!" button???? *kitten*
Running tally 2AF days out of 3 days so far.5 -
@dawnbgethealthy that is too funny about the "kiten" replacement, I am not sure I ever heard you ask what it meant.
I have been using a stemmed glass for a while to satisfy my cocktail urge, and also to keep others from asking why I am not drinking when I am out. The symbol of the glass wins over what is inside of it..
Love your new profile pic!!

6:08 in Vegas another 24 💖 @dawnbegethealthy that "kitten" thing cracks me up! Over on the SoberSquad a few months ago one of the posters was trying to post about Dick Vandyke and his journey to get sober and it kept throwing the "kitten' into his name,I was laughing so hard 😆 have a great day all!6

After doing 31 days AF in October, husband and I drank on Friday. Saturday, and Sunday this weekend. We didn't get drunk, but I had 3 drinks each day and am feeling pretty slow today. Didn't help that I also ate pizza, way too much sushi, and couldn't stop snacking this weekend. I still made it to the gym, but even with the exercise calories I went over my goals each day
Interesting but not surprising that when I let alcohol back in, I also couldn't control my snacking. Gotta try much harder this month to maintain a healthy balance of A/AF days and keep my diet in check.8
