30s is super old? I must be ancient then
Hope everyone who changed their clicks today survived the change. Means winter is on its way.
I actually drive today. First time in almost 3 weeks. It was awkward with just one working arm. But bit bad1 -
You look pretty good for ancient0

I always thought I was older than you. We're so old we might as well just give up2 -
38 here, happy to be with others who know what life was like pre-cell phones and know how to use a rotery phone.3
-
I saw a video the other day where a dad bet his sons that they couldn't dial a number with a rotary phone in like a minute. They couldn't..Haha! They kept putting their finger in the 0 and turning it to the number and stopping instead of starting at the number.5

I'm 40 years old and in need of some new friends on here, to help keep me motivated! Vegan, leaning towards plant-based/nutritarian. You don't have to be the same to be my friend
Please feel free to add me. Thanks!1 -
I'm a Toys 'r' Us kid, so, you know. . .

I saw this
I also just saw a clip form Ellen and she has a millenial try to find a number in a phone book then dial it. She picked up the handset after dialing it all. Poor kids1 -

Local number, or long distance?? I remember dialing 15 digits on a rotary phone, to reach my girlfriend overseas in 1987.
Of course, now she's my wife and on a 7 digit local number with digital phones, we hardly ever call each other. The world has evolved to WhatsApp and other forms of Instant Messaging!!
The joke is on us now, because our children and grandchild are the ones teaching us all this new stuff.2 -
My office still has analog lines. It's fun to watch the millennials fail to make long-distance calls because they don't know to dial "1" before the area code...3

To add to the above, we learned to use a slide rule and an abacus in school, the first calculators were just coming out and were very expensive. How many people can use a slide rule or abacus, or even know what they are? Now you can do everything on your phone(except make a good voice call).5
