Glad my weigh in today was finally back in range but my average for October ended up being higher then August or September, that’s not good. Looking back I have not been in range since March so I pat myself on the back for that. I am going to keep going with 1990 Calories and not eating back any exercise. Have a good month all!

Keeping deficit low & hunger abated with moderate carbs. My body loves this WOE. Once past the first 3 days, it was actually easy.
Struggles: None, thankfully. The gradual creep the past few months was FAR More stressful on me than I realized. I do NOT want to regain. Ever.
Goal: 155 or lower in New Year’s 2020.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My October average was still over my maintenance range, but with the increased activity I've been getting in, it was lower than September's average. This week's average weigh-in was 111.7, which is just barely above the top of my maintenance range, and I'm glad that I'm continuing to slowly get back down into my range. I'm going on a short trip next weekend for a few days, which unfortunately is not in a location where it's safe/easy to get in a lot of steps, so I'll just try to ensure that I get in my bare minimum steps goal (which right now is 11k steps).5 -

Success of the week: My weekly average is EXACTLY t he same as last week, my running average weight is staying in my goal range and reasonably close to my one goal weight.
Struggle of the week: October wasn't great, and the Trendweight app still shows me gaining over half pound a week, but I'm going to stop that. I still struggle with seeing myself as successful in my journey, although an external observer would certainly see my progress as a success.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Still creeping up towards the bottom of goal weight. Struggling with motivation to exercise and only got in 5 days of 7 this week. Some of it is the change in weather/season - I get cold easily, so outside running is coming to a close. The beginning of holidaze season wasn't promising, either, and I had more candy than I ought to have had. Having a couple of kids who are chronically treading the line with being underweight makes it tough not to have treats nearby, and my willpower wasn't as indomitable as usual.
Overall, though, nothing that can't be rectified. Onwards and upwards!

Sure sounds like success to me. Just omit the word "only" and you're doing great. Motivation or not, five days of exercise is admirable. Probably better than most. Nice job. Cut yourself some slack and take credit for what you DID accomplish!

Welcome to November!
Successes: Trend is down. Had a half marathon training run with hydration on my back and managed to match my best half time of 1:57. I'm interested to see what I can do in a race. I've got one in december prior to my marathon in january.
Struggles: A lot of chicken nuggets. Loving some chicken nuggets

Just wanted to ask this group why someone reacts to check in posts, which are really just reporting on current numbers, not opinions, with disagrees? If you have feedback, why not offer it - instead of adding a frown? It seems rather mean spirited, the opposite of what I thought this thread was supposed to be.4

@amckholmes -- It could have been an accident. I think that happens some times. I can totally see it happening from the app if you have a small screen and less small fingers. I just went up-page to see if it was me; it wasn't.
Of course you realize someone is likely to disagree with your post about disagreeing just to pull your chain, no? And probably someone will disagree with THIS post, too. Don't sweat it.
As far as whether to add calories or get a new, lower goal -- that's up to you. How did you feel in October? Why not just set your calories to maintain where you are right now and see how you feel for a few months before making a decision about that. You're down near the bottom of the healthy BMI range. Don't get too upset if you drift UP for a month or two. Just keep paying attention and find your happy place.

Don't know, maybe they don't think you should let your weight drift down more? I changed the previous like a gave you to a hug, I was just really making sure it was not me accidentally doing it with with the app. It wasn't! You are doing great on maintenance, keep it up!!!3 -
@erjones11 and @mtaratoot thank you both for your thoughtful responses. This thread is one of the very few I read here any more, and for some reason it jumped out at me that someone marked my check in with a frown. I have been slowly increasing my calorie intake, trying to find my balance level, but right now I am finding my biggest challenge being the days I am busy, but not doing things that are easily logged as activities - leisurely walking around the city, not briskly and not straight, cutting back the plant boxes in anticipation of winter, stacking firewood (over multiple days, a bit at a time). So I am not actively trying to lose and I am not really going without or feeling deprived in any way. I still have plenty of pockets of fat left on my body, and I feel healthy and strong. That is why I made the comment about letting my body find its happy weight, having always been various levels of overweight as an adult, I don’t definitely know what it is.
This thread has been extremely helpful for me these last months and is one of the very few that seems to be overwhelmingly positive and encouraging. That is why I posed the question about getting negative feedback. Thank you to all who share their stories here.8 -
I understand about the desire to go a little lower. I am thinking I would be better under 150 but am happy to be under 155 and willing to go real slow any further lower. I am working on recomp, lots of walks, strong cardio 3 to 4 days and weights 3 days. Feeling healthy!

Still stayed in my .5lbs calorie deficient, but ate more than I usually do.
Hoping Sunday will find me happily at 150. This month and next are crazy at work and in life (Thanksgiving, 41st birthday, trip to Cancun, Mexico, then Christmas). Here's hoping I can stay sane and strong!8 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I really thought this weigh-in would be better. I've had a calorie deficit of at least 100 every day this week. I know you need 3500 to lose a pound but I really didn't think I would gain a pound. I have added hills to my daily walking route and I've added pushups to my strength training. I'll just keep putting one foot in front of the other.8 -

Successes of the week: walking daily a lot. Paying attention to what I eat & when.
It does appear monitoring my carbs does help me eat fewer calories, but After two weeks, I got pretty hungry. I am still deciding how to proceed. I feel strong & healthy & vibrant. Perhaps I need to be 155-157.
Struggles: didn’t plan ahead Thursday night. Didn’t feel good afterwards. Had an extremely rare “how come everyone else can eat & I can’t” moment. But I’ve realized I CAN & DO eat & I feel great. And ALL my labs and stats are perfect. AND when I do eat out, I actually DO NOT feel good. Eventually I will learn...

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Up a little this week. Was out a few days this week. Went a saw Come Away in NYC excellent play, then Friday saw Menopause at our local theater. I choose wisely and brought some home I know from past experience the salt in the meal makes me "gain". Have a great week everyone.4
