I apologize for all of the Canadian measurement - 1 litre = 1 quart pretty much. 1 cup (8oz) is 250ml.
I didn't grow up with the metric system, but have adjusted since water bottles etc. come with ml on them.
I have my MFP measurement set to ml and litres for tracking.
I have taken to filling a 1 litre bottle and making sure to drink that throughout the day so that I can track easier.1 -
OMG @dawnbgethealthy! That's awful and disruptive! I can't imagine getting up 6 times a night. Everytime I ever tried to increase water intake, it was 3 or 4 times. And that's bad enough.
With the salted lemon water I started a month ago, and the smoothie & afternoon drink, both with chia seeds, I'm getting 5-6 hours without having to get up.
My total intake of actual fluid is around 70 ounces - including my coffee and not counting the smoothie. I don't know how to measure the fluid intake from the fruits and vegetables so I don't even try.
I did this gradually. It did bump up to getting up a coupe of times, but went back to 5-6 hours after a couple of days.
I haven't "traveled" since starting this, but I'll cut back around anticipated access to rest rooms when I do.
I've also experienced the bloating (and literal sloshing around in my stomach) before. I have not with the Quench strategies. I can't explain it. My body is getting used to it? I'm actually absorbing and using water more efficiently worth the plant based hydration?
I'd venture a guess it's the latter. I did experience a small weight bump, then it dropped off. Thebook doesn't really address it, but I'll ask in the book group 😊1 -
Hello everyone.
Thankyou @tiabirdie56 for starting up a new thread.
I fell off the wagon a couple months ago and just kind of gave up with things being so hectic at home, then unfortunately a couple of weeks ago a close and dear family member passed away and I lost control of myself.
I am going to finish this year with focusing on getting myself back into routine with healthy eating and calorie counting, and slowly start bringing exercises back into my daily routines, and I’ll get back to these monthly threads in the new year for anyone who would like to join me with them.
I’m so sorry I let you all down the past couple months :’(
But I have just read through ALOT of posts from the October thread and you’ve all done amazing. Well done to you all and end this year with a bang
Hope you all have a a merry Christmas and a happy new year xx8 -
@SamanthaLouiseMence, It's so good to hear from you! I am so sorry for your loss. My sincere condolences.❤{{{hugs}}} Please don't feel that you have let us down! This is life and we all have to deal with what comes our way. When you are fully ready to come back, I'll be here to join you! Whenever you need a hand with posting your thread, just let me know. I'll keep it going for you.

12/01 - 184.6 - My personal forbidden carbs (cookies, tortilla chips, chocolate) causing the uptick.

12/03 - 185.6 - Needing some elimination 😟 and more water than I've been thirsting for. Indoor heat is really dehydrating me. Gonna have to force it for a few days.
12/04 - 185.6
12/05- 185.4 - I REALLY need to force a breakthrough on my water consumption. Lately, I can't get past 80-96ozs. Yesterday was only 72ozs. A couple of times a year this happens. I need a gallon a day for about a week to rehydrate.

Just found this hydration chart:
Dehydrated/Hydrated?
Here's another link:
8 glasses of water a day?
I just finished those articles. The second one was interesting, "8 glasses of water?"
I might stop forcing myself to all of that water and get back to having a normal life that doesn't revolve around peeing constantly : - P
Thank you for the insights!

@SamanthaLouiseMence Sending my prayers and deepest condolences to you and your family.
You have let no one down. As @tiabirdie56 mentioned, you are just going through life and we can all respect that - so glad to have you back! I will be happy to continue to join you in the new year.4 -
I did fairly well this weekend. I ate a lot on Friday (1800 cal) then balanced things out on Sat (1360) and Sun (1200).
December's Hurdles:
Being at home from 12/20 to 12/31 - keeping myself in check with junk food and ice cream. My last day at the seasonal PT job will be the 16th.
Completing a December challenge at our local gym (details coming soon)
Trying really hard to meet my goal and start the new year under 120
Give me strength, y'all!

I am redoing my goals to start my weight with what I ended with in November. My December 1st was up from Thanksgiving Dinner & it doesn't seem fair to use that weight. I can do better than that!
My name is Donna & I am 59 years old. I am from the Midwest in the USA. 5’ 5.5” tall
Original starting weight – 253
December starting weight – 183.4
December goal – 178.4
Ultimate goal – 145 to 155 (We’ll see when we get closer)
December results for Challenge: TBD
01 - 187.4 Starting with a gain after Thanksgiving dinner last night. I’ll be working hard on this. I’m hoping to get back to my ending weight from November THEN lose 5 pounds on top of it. Am I dreaming? I don’t know. Stay tuned.
03 – 183.6 That’s more like it. Travel, Restaurants & Shopping this week. Most to far away places (lots of sitting). It will be a challenge to get a good weight for the 10th but I’m up for the task of trying!
10 – 188.4 And that is how you totally screw things up! Back to basics today!
