easy peasy!
My Mom made these but added mini marshmallows...makes them even better.
Here are some of the Haystacks I made.... What a mess to make, but so good! added mini marshmallows like my Mom used too. it came to 230 calories a piece for a pretty decent sized one. Freezing them is the best.

They are my most favorite thing, start appearing in the shops here in the UK from November, and it is a constant effort of will to not just scoff packets of the stuff 😆
YES! The spiciness and tang of the honey and lemon... love Lebkuchen! Also a big fan of pfeffernusse!
I came here to post about Lebkuchen
But as a second best, how about marzipan fruits?

Yes! My favorite. Another fave I don't think has been posted... saltine toffee bark! I love making this with Ritz crackers in place of saltines.

I think Facebook is reading my MFP forums. I literally got a Facebook video recommendation today with Ritz cracker toffee bark, which I had never heard of before.1 -

OMG, saltine bark. I LOVE that stuff.0 -
I've never actually made one myself, but the store bought kind is just fine for me. Just had a big slice for breakfast with my coffee. SO good.0 -

We have pannetone everywhere here in Italy. There are so many different kinds now. All different quality levels too. They are all on sale. People give them for gifts.1 -

APRICOT KOLACHES... also a fan of raspberry

we always called them "easy-do squares" growing up, because they're so easy to make. My mom makes them every year. These are essentially what they are: https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/chocolate-chip-cheese-bars/1

These are my favorite. I made a big batch of raspberry for my coworkers last week. We call them kolacky (pronounced ko-WATCH-key).0 -
Costco used to make shortbread cookies that were half dipped in chocolate. I used to refrigerate mine. They were dangerous. They stopped making them a few years ago.0

They don't have them anymore?! Loved those! A grocery store near me had them and they closed, it was probably my favorite grocery bakery cookie.0 -
surprised nobody has mentioned this classic...

Ah yes, I love chocolate peppermint!0 -
I just realized the title includes treats. Aside of cookies I look forward to peppermint ice cream every year. Going to Trader Joe's right before Christmas is expensive as I love peppermint even more than pumpkin spice!
Speaking of peppermint and Trader Joe's, these are seasonal AFAIK:
They are like an Oreo with a dark chocolate coating plus peppermint. My sister gave me a box one year and I ate most of it on the drive home. Nom nom nom.1 -

For me, it's poppy seed rolls like my grandma made. Haven't had one in many years, though.
My state's favorite is "sugar cookie M&M bars" which I've never even heard of, lol. Looks festive.

I've never made them-but will be making some this next week - I'm going to add dried cherries or cranberries and coconut flakes too on top too.
Personally, I always love spicy gingerbread cookies and my mom's sugar cookies with buttercream...mind you, I just love cookies...most all of them...
I made something similar with leftover graham crackers, but noticed the recipes in my Joy of Cooking had you make a shortbread crust, and that's probably what I would do next time.
I used Great Value butterscotch chips and didn't like the artificial aftertaste. Will spring for Guittard next time.1 -

I much prefer After Eights. My mom only ever bought them around Christmas time.0 -
I have two favorites that I wait all year for.
1. White Chocolate oreos. (Yes I know I can make them at home. They don't taste the same)
2. Sugar Cookie Pop Tart. I just love these!!0 -

How about Andes mints? So good!1 -
SuzySunshine99 wrote: »Spritz cookies!!!
I never knew what these were called! My dad made these and a dozen other cookie varieties every Christmas for ages (his mom before him, and now my sister has continued the tradition). These were always my favorite - he made the tree-shaped ones and dyed them green.
