I've lost a little more than 20 pounds since late July, but I've been slipping up lately and not hitting my calorie target as consistently as I was earlier in the process. My goal for December is to finish the year strong and get back into the "normal" BMI range (<157 lbs).

This month I have so many events centered around eating. If I can get to 135, I will be thrilled. I was 137.2 before the Thanksgiving weekend, I think the first 3 pounds will come off easy, but not sure if I will lose any more this month. It is definitely going to be a yo-yo on the scales with all the big food events.

7 days since weighing. Down 1.2 pounds. Have committed this time around to lose 1lb per week, possibly less. It's hard to realize that the older I am, the harder it is to lose and dropping 5lbs in a week is just not realistic anymore. I'm trying to re-set that thought process and commit to logging every day and losing 1lb per week.
Looking at all the posters' numbers, and seeing your 'slow but sure' numbers coming down - had I committed to this 2 months ago, I would be down 8lbs by now!

Doing Just give me one month for November showed me that I was eating at maintenance so have cut calories and hope to see a downward trend

10 Dec: 200.8, likely not eating much today. Slipped and fell last night and hit near my temple on my son's desk. It hurts to open my mouth all the way. Mix with a severe lack of sleep and it is not gonna be a good day.
11 Dec: 200.0, knew this was gonna happen, didn't eat a whole lot as my head and jaw are sore. Went to the dr and found out that I have a concussion. Wont be eating a lot today either and will be spending the next 2 days resting as I get dizzy still.

Back again. Starting the month out with a bit of inflated number due to way to much alcohol, food from Thanksgiving, eating out the last couple of days, and had a 5 day weekend with my family. Hopefully once I get back to work on Monday it will drop off fairly quickly. My lowest in November right before Thanksgiving was 137.7 and I am hoping to be back in the 130's by the end of the first week.
May gained: 1.1 pounds (149.3)
June lost: 3.4 pounds (145.9)
July lost: 2.2 pounds (143.7)
August lost: 0.1 pounds (143.6) maintained
September lost: 2.7 pounds (140.9)
October lost: 0.2 pounds (140.7) maintained
November lost: 3 pounds (137.7) day before Thanksgiving 11/28

I've lost a little more than 20 pounds since late July, but I've been slipping up lately and not hitting my calorie target as consistently as I was earlier in the process. My goal for December is to finish the year strong and get back into the "normal" BMI range (<157 lbs).

@kellyswimmer, I've been having a similar problem. I'm pretty comfortable at my current weight, and I have "diet fatigue" from all the tracking, meal planning, etc., so my motivation is slipping. I may take a maintenance break toward the end of the month to avoid burning out and falling back into old habits. I'd really like to lose the last few pounds to get into the "normal" BMI range first, but it depends on how long that takes. Good luck to you!1 -

This month I have so many events centered around eating. If I can get to 135, I will be thrilled. I was 137.2 before the Thanksgiving weekend, I think the first 3 pounds will come off easy, but not sure if I will lose any more this month. It is definitely going to be a yo-yo on the scales with all the big food events.
01 Dec: 140.2 😬 gained 3 pounds over the weekend at my mother-in-laws for Thanksgiving. I am sure much of it was water weight, but I also enjoyed the meals and pies.
