    Day/Weight/Comment
    12/09 - 128.6, 10K steps. Colleague brought special sweets and snacks as treats, a favorite but fat and calorie heavy. Compensated on lunch.
    12/10 - 126.2, 10K steps. Team lunch at office, controlled my portion. Did have some processed junk food but limited. Got hungry later at night but consciously made 1 slice pbj instead of eating instant noodles or other junk food.
    12/11 - 126.2, 10K steps. Controlled eating most of the time except another colleague got sweets and insisted on me eating. Portion controlled but definietly fatty and calorie heavy.
    12/12 - 126.2, 10K Steps. Lunch at an event loaded with carbs and fat, lots of pasta, bread and cookie. Heavy but healthy dinner. Skipped drinking.
    12/13 - 125, 10K steps, had alcohol, ate at home, snacked mindfully and chose healthy options to snack.
    12/14 - 125, 10K steps, light lunch, balanced meals but low in protein. Had more alcohol than planned.
    12/15 - 123.6, 10K steps, managed step count but no real exercise. Alcohol, planned meals. Ate out last night but portion controlled lunch and dinner. Blew it on guac( my weakness) and chocolate croissants
    12/16 - 125,10K steps, Weekend caught up to me. Ate in calorie limits.
    12/17 - 125, 10K stpes, Ate in calorie limit, made some bad snacking decisions, but compensated. Ate in calorie limits
    12/18 - 123.6, 5800 steps, blew out on food with lunch, milano cookies, chips salsa. Safe to say bad end to this round. Consequences will show up in 1-2 days.

    12/9: 219.2 (-0.2)/18.4 (0.0). I had a "day out" that included dinner out with my wife, brother-in-law, and his girlfriend. I ate reasonably, and shared some ice cream with my wife as we walked around after a movie. I'm STILL sore from basketball (on Saturday), but it's a "good" sore (muscular, but nothing "pulled").

    12/10: 219.4 (+0.2)/18.4 (0.0). For some reason my "good sore" turned into both of my knees hurting pretty bad yesterday. They're better today, but that was at least mildly distressing. The next couple of days are going to be pretty busy for me. I likely won't get to the gym until Thursday or Friday; I'll just think of the next couple of days as continued recovery from one day of basketball. Hmm... maybe I need to reframe that.

    12/11: 219.8 (+0.4)/18.4 (0.0). I'm having some minor medical issues to go along with my migraines, which have been off-and-on since last Sunday (a week and a half). If I wasn't aware of it before, medical issues are a trigger for me; I apparently believe that all of my symptoms will disappear if I eat enough food (I have no evidence to support this theory, by the way). I'm struggling to stay on the right track. I'm not going to be able to go to the gym until Friday, which is cramping my good workout habits as well. I will keep trying to right this ship, however. I'm not giving up!

    12/12: 219.6 (-0.2)/18.4 (0.0). I went to my parents to celebrate my dad's 78th birthday. I tried to be good. I'm not really trusting my number here. We'll see what happens tomorrow. I CAN'T WAIT to get back to the gym tomorrow. My body creaks when I'm away for too long.

    12/13: 219.4 (-0.2)/18.4 (0.0). I got in a weird "fight" with my wife last night. She came down the stairs and started telling me something like, "We need to do a better job taking care of our plants." I quickly informed her that "we" didn't need to do a better job; SHE did. I don't buy plants. My wife has a "black thumb" when it comes to them. She does not ask me for help, she does not give me any information regarding the care of any of the plants she brings home, and it's my belief that randomly watering plants (not knowing what she is doing) is likely a bad thing. Hmm. I just repeated everything I said in our fight. She got really mad at me. I hope she still wants to go to the gym tonight. Looking at what I said, I'm pretty sure I could have handled the conversation better.

    12/14: 218.8 (-0.6)/18.4 (0.0). Today is better than yesterday. I feel like I'm in a bit of a holding pattern, but at least things are slowly moving in the appropriate direction. This will probably go at a quicker pace once the chocolate-covered macadamia nuts disappear from my home.

    12/15: 222.0 (+3.2)/18.7 (+0.3). Neighborhood Christmas party. Disaster!

    12/16: 222.8 (+0.8)/18.8 (+0.2). ANOTHER Christmas party ("cookie party"). I think this was my last one of the year, although New Year's Eve/New Year's Day is a time I will try to watch out for (Christmas eve/day as well, I guess). This time of year is a like a minefield. The sad part is that "this" is me actually putting some effort into trying to minimize the damage. I went to the gym in the morning to lift weights.

    12/17: 220.4 (-2.4)/18.5 (-0.3).

    12/18: 219.4 (-1.0)/18.4 (-0.1). Got sick again. It really sucks the motivation out of me to do just about everything. It's funny. I think I would have called this a "bad round," but the numbers below suggest that I didn't drop weight, but I didn't do a bunch of damage, either. THIS IS WHY I DO THESE STUPID CALCULATIONS FOR EVERY CHALLENGE (reminding myself by yelling).
