What Mini Goal is motivating you right now!

I'm inching closer to that 'magic' obese to overweight transition, 7,5lbs left!
Well done, I think that would feel like a wonderful transition and a great goal to reach indeed!
For me, my recent mental boost is because my total left to lose is now a two digit number rather than a three digit number. Something about it is just less intimidating, as silly as that may sound.13 -
I made it back to the 150's. My next mini-goal is 155, which will mean 25 pounds gone. If not next week, hopefully the week after.7

<--had to look up what a trifle is.
:explodes laughing:
(earlier in the thread someone mentioned feeling like a trifle wrapped in cling-wrap at a party)3 -
I am hovering around 231-232 the past few days, so my next micro-goal is to get below 230 and stay there for at least 3 days so I know it's "real".8

Mini Goal: learn to keep track of my rolling average weight instead of whatever bloated situation I happen to be on a given morning. On a more concrete level, my rolling average is now 99,5kg and there’s two weeks before Christmas, so I’d like to see the rolling average start with a 98 and preferably on the lower half, so below 98,5kg.8

My mini goal is to not only "survive" but truly enjoy the three days overnight hike I will be doing along with my boyfriend over the Christmas/New Year week.
We have done a large number of dayhikes this year, but this will be my first overnighter. Am looking forward to it, but cannot deny that I am a bit afraid as well.
At least I know I have 10kgs less bodyweight to carry around on me than during our last trip to the mountains (that was in September), so hopefully that will assist as well :-)7 -
My comments on jogging created a work's team for a half marathon and everyone else is much younger and fitter. I am determined to not be embarrassed by the finishing times.7

I am sure you will be rewarded for the 36 lbs not faulted for the 5 lbs. You will not lose 5 lbs of fat in 8 days, its just not possible to do in a healthy way. Since you have heart failure it's possible you may achieve your target *weight* if you are retaining water and are able to get rid of some of the excess. Pay close attention to your fluid balance and any diuretic meds you are taking if you have excess water on board.7 -

I agree, they'll be very happy to see a significant loss even if it isn't the total amount. They mainly want to see that you will put in the effort to live a healthy lifestyle.2 -
I want to be under 205 by Christmas. I have been that low three or four times and keep self sabotaging myself. My next goal is ONEderland! Hopefully in January. Haven’t been there since before my twins were born—they are 9 now! 😬5

I started out in July last year at 89kg and my first goal was to reach 75kg which I did. I'm now 73kg and my mini goal is to get down to 69kg coz that'll put me at a 20kg loss overall (although ultimately I'd like to get down to 65kg)2

I recently discovered that I am pregnant.
So, my new mini goal is to eat at maintenance for now, until my OB tells me I need to increase calories. I meet with her mid January and plan to ask her.
Also, on the phone, she encouraged me to continue lifting and running as I have been. So another mini goal is to keep doing that. So far, I've been lucky and haven't been extremely tired or nauseous, but the bloating, UGH!17 -

Hit the threshold, now for the patience part (so much harder than watching what I eat )
Surgery to repair my stupid leg will be the game changer. Less or no pain, and the ability to walk again? Oh yes please! Alrighty, I've decided to think big and expand my next mini-goal sequence a bit:
patience --> surgery --> medical clearance to exercise --> hit the gym & channel my inner @nighthawk5849 -
2.5 lbs to go to hit my target for this year, I’ve already lost 20.5 lbs since June. The end is in sight as I’m hoping to lose 30 lbs in total
So I have finally hit my goal weight of 11 stone for this year! I started off in June at 12 stone 9.5 lb and am proud of the weight loss!!!
My plan is to maintain for this month then 1/1/20 to work on the last 6 lbs I want to lose to my ultimate goal weight 😎

Hit my mini-goal of losing 25 pounds. My next three mini-goals are
300 pounds: 30 pounds lost
299.9 pounds: Twoderland
297 pounds: 10% of my weight lost.7 -
10k on Jan 5.
Just got the all clear (with caution) from the surgeon. Wrist broken 8 weeks ago and no running since that day. The half marathon isn't going to happen but I'm going for the 10k. Picked up at week 9 on the C210k training. Day 1 went really well.3 -
below 140 by the end of the year. I'm at 141.6 right now.6
-
mini goal of 135. i have about 6 lbs to go!4
-
One more pound and I'll have lost 25 pounds. Six more, and I'm back in the 140's.5
-
I'm 4.6 lbs shy of hitting my first goal weight of 145 lbs which would be a 15 lb loss so far. Hope to be there by mid January! (accounting for a little christmas treat gain)4
-
Honestly, at this point I'm just hoping to keep steady at my 110lb weight loss over christmas until I kind of renew my efforts to lose in January. I had fallen off track slightly, but I'm back in the groove. It is so hard to bake christmas cookies without accidentally eating a few. But most of the season's baking is over now and the cookies are packaged to go out to my friends and relatives.9

I grock. At this point, I set my sights on maintenance from Thanksgiving though New Years. Past years have taught me that (for me, personally) trying to white knuckle a calorie deficit through the holidays is a sure fire way to trigger a binge, which makes me feel like dirt, which triggers a binge, repeat ad nauseum, and then there I am on Jan 1 with ten extra pounds to lose that wouldn’t have been there if I had just taken a 🤬ing maintenance break.
I have been putting off baking the Christmas cookies, but I’ll have to start today. I know I need to put myself in the right mindset for it, but right now I’m sweating like a sinner in church over it!6 -
My goal is to be 155 before the end of the year. Last time I checked I was at 156 #fingerscrossed3

I set myself 3 goals for 2019:
1. Complete 200 workouts
2. Walk at least 3 miles 200 times
3. Achieve a scale weight no heavier than 66kg at the end of the year
So far I'm 4 walks away from goal number 2, I don't have enough days left to achieve goal number 1 (24 workouts left and 12 days left ) and my current scale weight is 67kg so I'll make that one.7 -
Ugh right now I'd like to just know I'm at a weight that's going to stay there. Since the beginning of this month, I've teetered between 138 and 134.5. This a.m. 135.5. My New Years resolutions WILL see new commitment and focus on my staying power.4

Mini goal - 85 x 5 dumbbell bench press.2

I have a dress that is just a little bit too tight for me to wear. I hung it up on a hook where I can see it. It helps remind me to "resist temptation", which is especially hard this time of the year! It really has been helping me.7
