@kgirlhart Great job getting your distance PR AND overachieving your 2019K run the year!!!
Yes! That’s awesome! It seems we have pretty similar run schedules. I’ve run HM distance only twice, once in training which was by accident lol, and once in my one and only HM race. My long runs these days are 10-11 as well. I wonder if I could do hm now without “training” . Well done for just going out and doing it!1 -
@mbaker566 love all your pups! Really great that you do this. And run. You rock.1
-
@mbaker566 Love the foster dog photos. Bless you for doing that. I don't think I'd ever be able to give them up once they were in my house for a while......over a day.
Great run @polskagirl01 !
@kgirlhart Great job on running the HM distance at that pace! You should be very proud of yourself!
@shanaber What a fantastic place to run. Sorry the other ladies left you and your behind, but sounds like you had a wonderful time anyway.
Just WOW @AlphaHowls !

Changed it up and ran this evening instead of this morning. It was good seeing some friends that I hadn’t run with in a while. Lot more traffic than I’m used to though between the evening hour and all the holiday traffic.
@alphahowls - you continue to amaze and inspire me!
@shanaber - love all the lights! What a fun run that must have been.
Congratulations to everyone meeting their 2019 running goals!3 -
Wow some amazing achievements!
I managed to get out 9d bed and run 2.5k lol
Hey I just wanted to roll over and go back to sleep, so that's an achievement!
Now sitting at my in laws with a beer in one hand, and a 3yr old on my lap.
Happy place!7 -
In case you are wondering what it is to be like me... two days before Christmas I decided to go to Walmart because the Jeep needs washer fluid. I go in to grab a jug and come out with a pillow. Not even the right size pillow for my bed mind you, just a random one.
Oh, and the Jeep still needs washer fluid.12 -
I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, but I had a great run. I ran 13.32 miles. That was my longest run to date...
Yesterday's run got me to my goal of 100 miles for the month. It also put me at 1265 miles for the year which is over 2019 Km so I have officially run the year in Kilometers. 😊
WELL DONE!

Well done! Any day where you did not get your brains eaten is a good one!1 -
@kgirlhart congrats on your longest run and meeting your monthly and yearly goals!
@shanaber that looks really pretty! Is that Coronado Island?
Congrats to all on great running this month and hugs to all who are injured/recovering/starting again.

When its 50 degrees in December, you've got to get out and run. I did 3+ miles with a friend out in that lovely warm and sunny weather. Then headed to the gym for strength training and added an extra mile on the treadmill to warm up.
Our group training tonight seemed a little extra intense - probably throwing a little more at us before holiday indulgence. I feel like the quads are going to be feeling it tomorrow.

My last post was Dec 17th when I had run 2 miles. A few hours later, I felt the tightness in the head, and sure enough, I had my 2nd migraine in two weeks. I've not had headaches like that in a long, long time. So, this morning rolls around and naturally, I'm gun shy about running again, especially with the holiday coming up. I really want to, especially with the nice weather right now, but don't want to suffer another "episode".
As there is only a few days left, and 17.26 miles to make my 30 mile goal, safe to say I'm not going to make that. Guess my new goal then is just to run again before the end of the year? Maybe to run by the end of the year & then again beginning of the new year? Run without a headache?

I am anxiously awaiting the body glide to arrive from amazon tomorrow. The fun will be whether it arrives before or AFTER my run.
Guess what else. I read that you shouldn’t wash athletic gear with fabric softener because it creates a coating on the fabric and counteracts its moisture wicking capabilities. Guess who has been using fabric softener on EVERYTHING, FOREVER. I hope I haven’t ruined anything!
The leggings and pullovers arrived from my sister today! I am so so so super mega excited! She got some amazing deals and everything is so nice! I can’t wait to try it out tomorrow!
I plan to do my long run for the week tomorrow. Since it is a cut back week, I think I can manage the six miles on the schedule and the rest of the week can be shorter runs. This way, if I start early tomorrow, I can have the long run out of the way before I get my kiddos from their dad. The only issue will be if my hip is still hurting. The best advice I’ve found is stretches and ibuprofen. I’d prefer a miracle. It doesn’t feel like an actual injury, just really, REALLY sore. I’m hoping and praying it’s better by mid morning.
Almost done shopping for Christmas! I just have a few things left to get + food stuff! I’m aging ribeye for my family because nobody cares much about turkey or ham. It promises to be a delicious meal!
I’m very proud of all of you for the work you are putting in! Though I am often lurking and not posting, I read every single one of your posts and you are more inspirational than you know. Just by existing, running, and telling your stories - you’re encouraging someone to keep going. Keep progressing. Keep pushing. So thanks for that. I am eternally grateful.7 -
Hey Kiwis! Just saw an advert for the Fenix 5 on sale for 445!! Jb hi fi (it's usually 899)1
-
@Camaramandy648 just a word of caution... be very careful with ibuprofen. As runners, we need to avoid prolongued use as it can have some nasty effects on us!

@dreamer12151 Found this article. Don't know if it will help or not. https://www.womensrunning.com/2015/06/health-wellness/advice-for-runners-who-suffer-from-migraines_42224
