What a DAY I had yesterday...spent the day focused on and achieving some goals and DANCING LIKE NOBODY'S LOOKING while doing it. I spent at LEAST two hours of more, cutting the rug something fierce and REALLY getting down honey (jamming to 1970's disco and 1980's dance music)--I super jamming and sweating and cleaning and having an absolute BALL. What's so wonderful is with all my jamming/dancing--I didn't get out of breath not ONE TIME during the duration of my goal accomplishing partying. When I was obese and overweight, I used to dance too, but honey, it used to wear me out, after as little as 10 minutes OR LESS...NO MORE. My endurance is much like it was many, many moons ago, when I was young--YAY!22

Today I wore some pants that did not fit 3 weeks ago.27

I usually gain anywhere between 3 to 5 lbs during that time of the month only women are blessed with... This time I didn't gain anything but maintained my high school weight. Also, I usually have the worst painful cramps the 1st day but now it's just a little discomfort. I guess it's true, eating right does lessen the affect of water retention and intensity of cramps during this special time.15

Went thrift shopping today. Saw a pair of shorts I thought would be fun, and they were half off. But there's no way they would fit.
Vanity sizing and all, I decided to at least try 'em on.
Boom!
When I use my tape measure, I'm actually a little smaller than last time I checked, but still two inches larger than the number in these shorts. Still... feels kind of fun to think I'm that small. I've found some other pants there that fit at size S. I can hardly believe it, because I'm truly a medium-sized guy for the most part. I'm just not as wide as the typical person - seems "only" 30% of American adults aren't overweight or obese.14 -
I am so proud of and happy for everyone here!! Way to go!!
I just did a total of 9 assisted pull ups! I used to be able to do them unassisted, but had regressed. I'd been almost afraid to try and see how many I could do (fear of failure? embarrassing myself? I was alone in my living room, so idk feeling kinda silly now!). I was expecting 1/2. But 9??!?!?! 😲😲😲😲😲 I am very pleased with myself!21 -
30 min straight on the stair mill this morning.16

Resting heart rate started at about 75, at the very beginning of my weight loss. I got it all the way down to 54. It climbed back up to about 68 because I wasn't doing cardio as much. Today its back down to 58.23

got off track yesterday, ate everything in sight but good thing is it is just a 1 day thing, didnt give up, I use to would have just thrown in the towel.23

Had a stressful week. Got some low carb no sugar no flour treats and let myself have a couple of days that were not as healthful as my usual. I feel good that I was able to find some ways to “treat” myself, allow myself to indulge a bit, but still stay within calorie goals, mind my macros, and not go off the rails entirely. This way of life/eating feels sustainable!14

Dug through my closet and did a little fashion show for myself.
Tights I bought that wouldn't even go over my thighs when I bought them now fit.
A blouse I bought that fit normally or a little tight is now hilariously huge.
A shirt I bought when I was 18 (and never had the guts to wear because it's very form fitting) now almost fits. I mean, it fits, but it's still a touch too tight to really look good. Still, it goes on, which it hasn't in years.
Every single dress I own is huge. I think I can take the one in to be tailored, but the rest are a lost cause.
A sweater I used to love fits again.
I can now wear the My Little Pony shirt I got as a joke gift that I actually unironically love but was way too small before.
Progress is being made. Even if it doesn't feel that way always.40 -
For me, watching college football & noshing on tailgate foods has always been my favorite kind of day. This season, I ate a lot of light, lean foods before each game so I had little room left for anything high calorie. And now, I'm sitting here watching LSU-Clemson with some lightly olive oiled grilled portobellos and happy with it. Next year I'll have more self-control & room in my calorie 'budget' to indulge. Today the bellas are fine18

Also a NSV - for watching test matches this year, I stuck to tea & cress sandwiches!11

I've stuck with my New Year's resolutions for 2 weeks now. I don't have cravings anymore and my hunger was controlled sooner than expected. Hopefully it won't be too much longer before I reverse my diabetes again. I've logged everything every day and I am enjoying the lifestyle change and will continue to keep doing it because it is fun and easy.20

I wore my belt for the first time in over a year (physically couldn’t for a LONG time after my hysterectomy, then my pants were snug enough to not need it, eventually I didn’t have any jeans that actually fit... I have practically lived in workout gear or leggings and dresses)... I buckled it on the last notch - as in, I will have to punch more holes as I lose more weight!16

Today I put on a pair of black pants that I wore 5 or 6 years ago. They fit me again!21

I’m happy and relieved to say, this girl is officially 5 years CANCER FREE!!! It’s hard for me to even believe that i have endured and continue to endure this in my life and a lot of people do not know this about me but dealing with this has been one of the hardest things iv ever had to go through and has effected me in so many ways i didn’t even realize until now, looking back! I continue to deal with this everyday and probably will the rest of my life regardless and it has taken me a long time to not be down on myself about it. I’m not big into new year resolutions but i think starting this year it’s a good time to not look at myself as weak or unlucky! But instead look at myself as a badass *kitten* that kicked cancers *kitten*! Going through this has humbled me so much to people and life!! Don’t have to have cancer to be dealing with something causing you pain in your life! Whether ur dealing with cancer, another illness, divorce, a loss, depression, addiction or just LIFE. Know that u are not weak and ur not alone! ♥️🙏🏼😭🙌🏼 #NSV

I walk my crazy dog the same route twice a day every day and I’ve noticed I’m walking faster and not dawdling round the path. It’s definitely more of a workout since recommitting to MFP in 2020.21

Husband finally decided to workout with me—had our first lifting session in our garage lifting area he made for me last night. Definitely need to find some exercise work around for his shoulder issues but excited to actually work out together!23

First workout since having my daughter 💪🏻26

I went to my exercise class this morning only to find out it had been cancelled.
I came home and did an hour of "walk away the pounds"29 -
Just tried on work shirts while I was clothes shopping again and I’m yet another size down 😃👍🏻. It’s such a good measure that I am on the right track compared to the scale because going a size down is such a visible change. Plus the shirts are cheap.20

Went to the dentist today. Last time I was there was closer to the beginning of my journey. She commented on how much weight I'd lost.21

Semi-scale victory: My trainer put me on their body stats measuring thing for the first time since I started in August and pulled the old one to compare.
I've lost 15% of my body fat, and I'm more hydrated. XD
Also today I finally dropped the last of my holiday gain, so that's a relief.34 -
Pulled down the attic stairs to put away Christmas decorations, and I wasn't worried I would break the stairs31

It is utterly wonderfully terrific that I have on one of my favorite size 8 "skinny" jeans right now and I have at least 1 inch (or more) EXTRA space on both sides of the waist. I can take them on and off without unzipping nor unbuttoning them. I'm actually going to need a belt for them, because of their looseness ( I'm been pulling them up all day). I still am in sizes 6/8...but the SOME of my size 8's are getting too big on me---uhhhhhhh---YAY!
To go from a size 22w (219.8lbs) this time a couple of years ago, to today 137.2lbs/size 6/8, to a too big in the waist SKINNY jean size 8 now is nothing less than amazingly FABULOUS. Also, to look at the clothes I wear now, especially the pants and jeans--looks like clothes for a young lady or super slim/skinny woman, they are so tiny--especially compared to the 20w's.
These are some recent pics of me (in a size 6) One of the pics is me in one with both legs in one leg of the size 20w I used to have to squeeze to get into a couple of years ago!
Look at how TINY these size 6's are...WOW
Me a couple/few years ago not sure if these are the same size 20w jeans above, but I DO remember having to struggle to get these jeans buttoned--they were so TIGHT in the waist
Me with my now two legs inside ONE pant leg of the 20w

My BMI is now at the very bottom of "overweight", down from low-end obese at the beginning of September. One more downward tick and I'll be at the high end of normal.27
