I have a dress which had started to get a bit too big so I have been wearing it with a belt. Today I got dressed and realised that the belt I had been using is now too big toommm20

Three recent NSV. 1) Seeing some canidid pictures of myself where I was not posed at all & I look... healthy!! No rolls, no double chin, no muffin top... I looked good 2) Kind of the same as the first, we recently installed some ring cameras on our property. When I go over the recordings and see myself in them, I'm not unhappy with what I see. 3) More compliments this week. A lady that works in the same building as me stopped and said "You are looking so skinny these days!" A couple days ago another lady said..."Look at how skinny she is now!"... Skinny??? I'm skinny?! I've never considered myself to be skinny... I remember weighing myself in Jr.High @ 155lbs. I'm now right below 145 lbs.... Maybe, for the first time in my life... am "skinny"?? LOL! Idk. But feels good27

I can quit this thread right now, because this is the best NSV EVER and I’ll never top it.
My trainer mentioned she’s been posting photos of me to the gym website on Instagram, but I’m not on it so I’ve never bothered to look.
Instagram suggested a post to my daughter:

My hairdresser asked me if I had lost a lot of weight recently. She sees me every 5 weeks, so she knows I've been losing over the last year and a half, but she said it was really noticeable today, especially in my face and neck. This was very encouraging, since I actually haven't lost much in the last few months.11

Im not sure if this is really possible but 2 weeks in, my colleague noticed yesterday and asked why was i so skinny ...im not...i have only lost 6.6 lbs. Then today, another colleague asked if i was loosing weight, which was really embarrassing for me. Can people really notice after so little weight loss?7

If you are already near or in your normal weight range then, yes any small changes would show immediately. If you are in the obese weight range they probably can’t tell. If it’s the latter then could they be just observing what you are eating for lunch?

Last night when massaging me Boyfriend noticed a different tone to my muscles and could tell I'd been working out.
And my pants are loose, just enough to be "wrong". Not bad for the beginning of my third week!17 -
I'm in the normal bmi on the Asian American bmi chart and a colleague remarked with admiration, "Wow, someone is REALLY shrinking!" I thanked her and said doctor says 10 more lbs (then I'm in the middle of normal bmi range on the Asian American bmi chart). She said I needed to get a new doctor because he's crazy and I don't need to.12

I felt pretty today! I've been feeling kinda like a lump of a person since Thanksgiving or so, even with working out and eating good. But something about today, with the sun shining, my hair fell right, my clothes fit comfortable...something...I felt rather lovely today and it seemed to show. Cashiers were extra smiley and my husband said "you seem happy!" when he got home from work. I just felt lovely and pretty on the outside as well as the inside today!32

Today I bought a size medium shirt.34 -
I ate a snicker bar and it tasted disgusting...lol13

I bought formal dresses and jeans in the junior’s section! I don’t think I EVER could have fit into a size 5 or 7, or size 24 &25 jeans when I actually shopped in the junior’s section—if I found something that fit, it would have been their largest size. Now I fit in one brand’s smallest size jeans. What??
I couldn’t bring myself to buy the red one, but pretty proud of how the the back muscles are coming along!
Additional excitement—I found jeans with NO WAIST GAP!!! It’s the holy grail. My waist, hips, and butt have shrunk and thighs have gotten bigger, so all my jeans slide down. No more!!39 -
I am BEYOND wildly excited today.
At the end of last week's parkrun, I set myself the goal of being faster this week.
This week's run was hard as it was SO cold - the it hurts to breathe when running type of cold - but I kept an eye on the time and pushed myself (and by default my son, who inbetween times was strongly encouraging me). At the end of the run, I told my son that I thought we may have beaten last week's time.
Got home and found we'd knocked over a minute off. My family must have thought I was mad, as I got just a little bit excited (jumping around and squealing a little - okay, I admit it, a lot).
So we have a new challenge for next week.
I WILL get the sub-30 time!
Probably not next week, or even next month but maybe by the summer...27 -

Its the latter. So its probably from what they see me eat. Im not complaining though cos it gives me some apet of pusj to contimue with what im doing.

I get weighed once a week and measured around once a month.
23.5 cm down this time30 -
I wore my extra small thermal and had little extra room in the upper arm area. Recompositioning is working!16

Another person I ran into told me they didn't grasp from social media how much weight I'd lost.
I won't lie, this feels good no matter how many times it happens!30 -
My wife and daughter both complained I’m too bony. Meaning I’m not as comfortable when they decide to use me as a pillow/chair.25

Nice work on your musculature, @gradchica27. You'd rock that red dress!

In my family, my mom and I have always been heavy, my brother has always been tall and athletic, and my dad has always been skinny, and he's only lost weight since his autoimmune diagnosis. Today, my dad gave me a shirt that's too small for him and my brother, and not even snug on me. REALLY put my loss in perspective!25

It's occurred to me that while I've been working I am now moving with a flexibility and quickness I wasn't capable of before. Like when I am bending down to use shelves it is very easy to quickly bend my knees right down so my bum goes right down to my ankles and then hold that position to put things on shelves and then spring right up to standing again without any effort. A few months ago it was a NSV that I could suddenly do it at all if you all remember. I used to have a very large stomach and such a move originally was too impossible and I would have to painfully get down to kneeling because I couldn't just bend my knees right down because of the big stomach and thighs in the way.
My other NSV today was when I put on an apron at work I saw my reflection in the mirror and that I could draw it in and see a waist. Before I was just square/round. It doesn't look so bad now, I am liking that I am looking more feminine again.24 -
This is a weird one, but I realized I can now put my head down between my knees when I’m sitting. Like on planes they always tell you in an emergency you should do that and I used to wonder how anyone could do that let alone breathe. Now I can fold over and very easily, comfortably take a nap while I’m at it.21

The tops of my boobs are starting to look weird, kind of hollow with loose skin. My bust measurement hasn't changed, but I think this is a sign that it's going to happen soon.12

We did this new thing in yoga today. (Instructors always explain that getting up and down easily is a sign of future longevity and health.)
We had to squat in chair, slowly lower to full boat pose, put our feet down and then return to chair pose and stand back up, all without using hands, then repeat several times. I did it easily without really thinking about it and then realized most the rest of the class behind me was grunting, groaning, and falling over.
That was kind of a lightbulb moment that there’s been a lot of change in my life.

Recent gym NSVs: An athletic workout regular walked over to me and said with (loving) bewilderment "OMG, what are you training for?!" I took that as a compliment. Another guy came over and said something similar "I see you working on those pull-ups! A lot of women can't do those. You're really working out!"
Other NSV: Today I came in 2nd during a timed 1 km swim. The other swimmer beat me by 20 seconds. I take that as an NSV, because she's 15 years younger than me. She's in her late twenties and a professional dancer (very fit) and I'm in my mid-forties exercising in my leisure time. If I could keep up with her, I must be getting stronger!26 -
I got 3 compliments at church today one "cute", one "pretty" and one "beautiful". I didn't get compliments when I was obese on the Asian American bmi chart.18

I exercised today!!!!! 💪
Technically it was just 'prehab' stuff with PT in preparation for the big day, but still counts in my book! 🙂 Never realized how much I'd miss exercising until I couldn't anymore. I'm wiped out & in more pain than usual, but totally worth it - been grinning all day.18
