JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 103 (round 35 for me ) I'm in for another round – really need to move on (again) ! Thank you GrandmaJackie.

Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it – it's a permanent way of life !
This round goal to just lose - aim to stick with good habits: be mindful of what I eat & drink, keep walking & refrain from attacking the cookie jar and left over Christmas chocolates – plan is to put them in DH lunch box each day 'til they're gone!! - there are still residual bits hanging around hubby will have finished them by end of this week!End of round 69 134.2 lbs

01/28 136 – 3.84 miles walked only yesterday – still off plan following loss of my Dad 3 days ago. Got my head together this morning & back in the game, hope to be able to get 9 mile walk in today in between phone calls, making arrangements etc. regarding Dads passing.
01/29 134.4 8.93 miles walked yesterday, good to be back on track, all macros and calories well in green. NSV – didn't turn to food when I was frustrated with red tape & bureaucracy regarding delay in issue of Dad's death cert to finalize funeral, in fact I didn't even realize that until this morning!!
01/30 134.4 – 11.52 miles walked yesterday, all calories & macros well in green. Finally caught up with all the posts, took me the last 2 days to catch up from the start of the round. Once again, thank you all for all your kind wishes and prayers, can't tell you enough how much this lifts me. This group is the best!
01/31 133.4 – 10.34 miles walked yesterday, calories & all macros in green. All Dad's funeral arrangements finalized albeit can't get fitted in for a further 4 ½ weeks !!?. Feeling more less anxious now.
02/01 133.8 - 9.74 miles walked. Carbs 34 over, but calories & all other macros in green. Come away for a weekend in our caravan for a chilling weekend, we're near to our DD & will be seeing our brand new baby grandson & his cute brother later today ? .
02/02 133.8 - 7.53 miles walked yesterday. Calories 211 over, carbs 49 over. Lovely day with 22 month old DGS#1, took him to a country park, kept him out for 5 hours which gave DD & SIL chance to catch up on 3 hours sleep as tiny baby delightful DGS#2 is sleeping all day and breast feeding all night - well cluster feeding anyway. Such a lovely day.

01/30- 156 this is a nice trend, but I'm not sure how sustainable nor authentic it is. I've been tight with calories for sure.
01/31-155 pretty sure I'll be up tomorrow, because we had a work social (I had a chicken wing and a mini bite size sub) and THEN I had a dinner date last night, admittedly it was healthy salmon and rice, but definitely need to watch myself today. Tracking every day and checking in here to keep honest. Eating well/healthy today. Keep going everyone!!!

02/03-159 Yep. Weekends wreck me. I've got all the excuses. It's harder to log food, I don't have my work schedule to limit my visits to the fridge. I didn't weigh myself. While I'm way more active on the weekends, I don't equally limit food intake. I could have slunk off into the shadows, but I'm making myself post here. Home today with a sick kid. Unusually warm here to so I rode my horse today and yesterday. Dragging the kids out to the playground now.

Same here, weekend are my total downfall, work keeps me on the straight and narrow and generally to busy too care about food but on the weekends with the fridge and the cupboards at hand it's a disaster as my previous weekend clearly shows! We'll have to find a plan to deal with them!

Started a very low calorie diet on Jan 17. I have ended each of the last 5 years heavier than I have ever been before. Have a very complicated, very unhappy relationship with food. Am hoping taking the thinking and choice out of it - by focusing on low-calorie ready meals - can help me get where I am trying to go.

My main goal this round is to get my daily steps in, also we've started using the stairs at the office (we're on the 6th floor of a shared office building), it's turning into a bit of a challenge between us I've started doing it at home as well as we live on the 4th floor, but we can't always do that as we often have shopping to bring up.

01/28 - 151.6 (+0.6) 1225 cal, 11.257 steps, no idea where that gain came from, maybe TOM? I woke up feeling bloated. Anyway I'll just keep on doing my thing
I'm not having much time to do anything but run around getting stuff done. Tonight we're visiting 2 high schools for my daughter as we have to decide for enrollment next week, I think I'll just grab an energy bar somewhere so I don't end up starving and eating the wrong thing at one of the open days treats
01/29 - 150.2 (-1.4) 1174 cal, 8192 steps, that's a bit of a whoosh and a new low although I have no idea why though! Yesterday I hit my calorie goal around 4 pm as I didn't want to eat junk food while running around in the evening, so I'm guessing it's the longer "fast" period that I'm used to (I normally don't eat between 6.30 pm and 9.30 am). Maybe just skipping dinner works for me but I like having my dinner with my daughter in the evening, I'll have to see. Today nothing special planned except that there's more running around tonight so I might skip dinner again.
01/30 - 150.2 (0.0) 1378 cal, 5351 steps, I'm quite surprised that it's the same number as I was over calorie yesterday and not hardly enough steps were done! I'll have to make sure I'm careful today so that it doesn't creep back up on me tomorrow as I've noticed that sometimes it takes 48hrs to show the gains from excess. Today is going to be quiet, I've had a splitting headache since Tuesday which is slowing evolving into a migraine, so I'm going to concentrate on making it through the day till I can get home and crash...
01/31 - 150.2 (0.0) 1181 cal, 8065 steps. Status quo, which is good. I've got a busy social weekend so I expect a gain over the next few days... luckily the round doesn't finish on Monday

02/03 - 152.2 (+2.0) I knew this was going to happen, the weekend was very busy, I didn't log all my food and didn't get to weigh-in, I'll be spending the next few days trying to get down to a more reasonable number before the end of the round.
02/04 - 153.2 (+1.0) 1097 cal, 10016 steps. Ok really disappointed here, I even stepped several times on that scale to make sure I was reading correctly
I suppose it's still a backlash from the weekend but as I was under calorie, ate healthy and got my steps in so I thought I'd see a little drop instead of another gain. It certainly didn't put me in a good mood but I suppose I'll just have to get over it and get on with it

01/28 - 145.5 - I'm a little surprised I'm still up a half pound from last week, but maybe it's from starting the planking. I can definitely feel the muscles burning even though I'm only holding for 20 seconds.

01/30 - 145.5 - I will continue to weigh and log my food daily as I have done most of this month and believe that I will eventually get back below 145. Someday...sigh.

02/01 - 145.5 - I ended up having an extra carby, sodium filled supper last night, so I'm just glad that didn't hit me this morning. In the meantime, while I wait for my body to catch up with my diet, I'm going to join a challenge for planking. At least that way if the scale isn't moving, I'll feel like I'm accomplishing something.
02/02 - 144.5 - It's been a while since I've seen this number. Super Bowl party tonight, so I don't think I'll see it tomorrow but at least it's a downward trend.
02/03 - 144 - I ate a little bit of everything at the party last night but didn't go overboard. The carbs may hit tomorrow, but this unexpected drop reminds me that I have to work through those plateaus and not get discouraged.
02/04 - 144.5 - I am fine with this little bump from the weekend. Now if I can stay below 145 the rest of the round, I'll be thrilled.

02/04 - 149.3 - Definitely expected to be up, especially after the Superbowl. I was able to hang out with BF and the crew -- had AMAZING food, but made sure small quantities. I also treated myself to Whataburger in the airport during my layover (can't get it up here, only had it twice before in my life) but it was early enough it didn't seem to stay heavy on me. Ate out after my interview at this pizzeria in San Antonio since I had no other food option but to eat out. It was worth it!. I may have some water retention but it seems it wasn't enough to push me over. Travel goal to stay under 150: accomplished! Came back to Kansas and a winter weather advisory. I swear this state hates me lol All bundled up and sleepy-tired today. Have fire brigade training. Hopefully its indoors!

Previous Day's Comments01/28 - Holding steady. TOM finally arrived and so this uptick from my low last round must have a little influence from that. Traveling for work today so a 2 hour commute each way ): At least I get paid mileage reimbursement at a good rate for it. Get to talk to my boss today for a question he had about my pay 2 weeks ago. He didn't approve my pay and the pay window closed yesterday so we get the payout Friday. If I don't get paid Friday, I'm in a very very very bad situation. I'm a little peeved at my boss that I even need to be worried about getting paid Friday. This happened 2 weeks ago today! Why are you bringing it up so late and risking my pay?! Please help me not stress eat... I've been tossing and turning all night, barely got restful sleep. And during those times I tossed and turned, I was absolutely freezing, despite usually being too hot under all those layers.
01/29 - Found my TOM bloat plus some. At a work conference and food is provided. I started getting dizzy and lightheaded so I went to get some food and the only thing available was a donut so I ate that. Then catered Chick-Fil-A (delicious, but not exactly nutritious). Not sure what today's catered lunch will be. Hopefully they have a fruit tray for breakfast again (the fruit was gone by the time I got dizzy) and I'm going to get some early so I can snack once I break my fast (lunch is an hour later than I normally eat it and I break my fast between 1030-11, 11 being the plant's normal lunch break). At least fruit will hold me over an hour. Just have 2 yoga (YWA HOME) practices to do today and I'm all caught up! I really do love it. Calendar should be out today for February. Pretty excited!
01/30 - Back on the downward trend. Got my logistics (flights, hotel, etc) coordinated yesterday for my interview Monday. Apparently the hiring manager is excited about this which makes me nervous and excited (more so than I already was). Lunch ready for today and tomorrow. Have a steak for dinner and a Fire Brigade dinner/awards tomorrow to get me through to Saturday food-wise. Pushing water. I tried to yesterday but it was rough trying to drive home with a full bladder every 2-3 seconds it felt like! Today I'm at my home office so it'll be easier (: Caught up with HOME yoga, today is the last day, tomorrow is close-out. I already have February's calendar printed and I'm going to try to stick with that (pending any life updates). Now time to read and get caught up on everybody over the last 2 days! 01/31 - Aaaaand back down. Now lets maintain this for the weekend at the very least. I'd like a drop, but with the travel Sunday and Monday, maintaining would be best for me that way I know I'm doing something right. Maybe I'm odd but I hate using the bathroom on planes so I typically don't hydrate enough when I'm flying (though I always have a water bottle with me to sip on, I know its not enough). Today is a good day. I scheduled payments to pay off one credit card (a whole $25), paid a little more than minimum on the the other credit card (I had paid off with consolidation but car maintenance got me), and made my first payment on my new loan (the consolidation loan. Has no early payoff penalty, lower interest rate, and I don't have to calculate how much I can pay each card each month. Maybe not the best route, but I froze all my credit cards so I can't increase those anymore and I can't increase my loan so it definitely helps me mentally tackle things). I'm feeling extremely positive and today's weigh in just made me feel that much better.
02/01 - Had Fire Brigade Appreciation dinner last night and they catered in fajitas so I'm sure this is a sodium and slightly later than normal dinner time bump. Not at all worried about it. We catered for 20 and there were six of us so we each got to take home some food which I'm about to dig into as I'm well past my fasting time (I got busy/distracted and I'm just now starting to feel a bit hungry). Going to try to weigh in tomorrow morning (will be an early morning, I have to leave my house before the time I normally wake up for work!) but I'll have to remember my weight so I can post once I'm at the airport. I'm so excited to see my BF and the crew, even if only for a few hours, and nervous for this interview all at the same time. Its an odd combination of emotions. Purged a lot of the donation stuff from my house. Only 2 more bags I need to drop off that I didn't have room to take in my car today. Otherwise, its organizing and packing more of the non-essentials just in case Monday goes better than I expect (municipal company so it usually takes a bit longer to go through the hiring process -- don't expect to hear yes or no on the job right away but I'm going to be prepared in case).
02/02 - This is likely a combination of a super late dinner and an early weigh in. If I can stay under 150 during this trip, I'll be content. Have a 3 hour layover in Dallas right now but tomorrow I'll have an hour layover haha it's going to be fun. If the company hadn't booked me in basic economy I could go on standby for an earlier flight but I cannot ): it'd give me way more time to spend with the BF if I could've done that. Oh well, wasn't meant to be I guess.

Interview update (for those interested):
They didn't really ask me questions, just went in depth on the job and the department setup (slightly different than most plants). This was more detail than the web interview I did a couple weeks ago. Then they said that HR requires them to go through mandatory questions. No additional questions were really asked of me outside of those HR questions. Then we hopped in the truck and I got a little road-tour of the plant. The one guy who worked where I currently am came along, as well. He lived in the same town I do! How cool (: I was hoping I'd meet him as they told me there was someone from up here working down there. We were able to laugh and joke a little. I could ask some questions and get clarification on some things. Seemed really relaxed, honestly. Engineering managers, though, have a very good poker face but I got a few laughs and smiles so I'm hoping that's a good sign. Something I didn't see really at all during the web interview and that went well enough.
Said best case scenario, it'll be next week I hear something. Otherwise, it could be 2-3 weeks. No pay or benefits talk as they have "title" flexibility based on experience and certifications which they'll have to decide on before appropriate pay and benefits are awarded (I'll be an associate engineer since a full-blown "engineer" requires the PE. PE minimums are to have taken the FEE (I did and passed) and work under a registered PE for 5 years before I can take the test and get my license. I have 1 year down as of right now with my EIT Cert for NY which can be transferred out of state if needed). I respect that, especially since they were very straightforward about it. I just hope its competitive with what I make now or it will make a for a really difficult decision. All my friends are cheering for me down there -- I cried because they all gave me bear hugs and said next time I visit, it better be permanent!

01/28 261.6 I was hopeful of a drop, but not surprised I didn’t have one, I have a lot of inflammation again this morning. In addition, my back and leg have been hurting me and I just can’t get them to let up. On the plus side of things though I’ve been staying on track the last few days so I don’t have that adding to things.

Salty bump. I stuck to my calorie goal, didn’t snack in the evening, and walked in the very cold afternoon.

I see my fat cells are going to make a stand. I did have a snack in the evening but was within calories. Oh well — I’ll just keep on the path.

What? This has to be sodium. I did have lunch out yesterday, but my calories have been below my goal, which is well below maintenance, for days, so this is weird. Ok, gallons of water today.

Ok, last night I had some salty snacks at a women’s movie night gathering, and definitely felt over-salted in the middle of the night. Drinking water water water!

Slowly, slowly. DH wanted to go out for lunch yesterday, but I got a turkey club and deconstructed it — ditched the bread. Had an apple for dinner. Sadly had a half cup of moose tracks frozen yogurt later, but still ok on calories. I’ve been drinking gallons of water but still feel puffy. Hopefully today I can wash out the remaining salt from movie night. Yeesh! Have a great weekend, all!

01/28 – 124.2 – Bad choices yesterday and a late dinner/snack last night.
01/29 – 124.8 – Pretty sure this is delayed from Sunday/Monday. Ate within my calories yesterday but did have more carbs than normal.
01/30 – 124.0 – Feeling better about that, I seem to be more comfortable in the 122-124 range.
01/31 – 124.0 – I also need to work on some recomp and toning. I started off the year trying to do some jogging, but that hasn’t happened lately due to rain and it’s dark when I get off work. I think I am going to look on Pinterest and find an indoor, body weight workout I can do during February. My 5 year old loves telling me to do burpees.

02/03 – 123.0 – Stressful weekend and there were donuts in the house…I wasn’t good. My 3 year old and DH are both sick, bet you can’t guess who has been worse lol.
02/04 – 123.2 – Surprised to only gain .2. DH has bronchitis on the edge of pneumonia and he is the stay at home parent. Sick man = not doing much so I have had more on me each night after work. I took a day off from tracking and made some not so great choices, but didn’t really have a sit down dinner either.

1/28/20 -171.5 I went to the gym last night. Slightly over calorie goal but satisfied.
1/29/20 - 171.7 Well, I was under my calorie goal yesterday however my dinner did consist of mostly "healthier" options from McDonald's. I'll be going to the gym tonight.
1/30/20 -171.7 I reallyyyyy didn't want to go to the gym last night but I did. Disappointed to not even see a tiny decrease. Oh well. Today is another day.
1/31/20 - 172 Very disappointed again but not discouraged. Going to keep trying! I'm on Day 6 of Intermittent Fasting and was expecting to see some weight loss but it doesn't seem to be working for me. Even with keeping my calorie intake around 1350.
2/1/20 - 171.7 My body must really like this weight. I stayed under my calories yesterday, intermittent fasted, and went to the gym. I’ve NEVER went to the gym on a Friday!
2/2/20 - 172.6 Well I went to Texas Roadhouse last night and had a margarita that had as many calories as my whole meal should have. So i deserve this. Today is a new day.

(hit my goal of 125.4, but had a temporary weekend gain on the final Monday weigh-in)
Ultimate goal weight: 124lb (maintenance is 123-126)

1/28 125.6 Happy with that! Down 1.4 from yesterday, I knew that weekend gain was fake. Had a good eating day yesterday, made an awesome low-cal chicken fajita bake for dinner. Drank 96oz of water!
1/29 125.2 Little drop from yesterday, 96oz again and a good meal plan. Even enjoyed a couple bites of ice cream cake to celebrate my daughter’s 4th anniversary of having open heart surgery
1/30 125.0 A loss is a loss I suppose... even if it’s a tiny baby one. Dinner out tonight with my husband and daughter, going to a local sandwich place, planning to get the turkey sandwich and really try to avoid the delicious fries, we’ll see how that goes.
1/31 126.2 Ugh. I know it’s water weight from a restaurant meal, still stings to see it, especially when I ate under my goal yesterday. Moving on… taking a work-out break today, I’ve used my work’s gym every lunch break the last 2 weeks, feel like I’m getting a little burned out by it, gonna sit and enjoy my lunch today and have plans for the gym both days this weekend.

2/3 128.4 Hello Superbowl snacks. YIKES. I do feel like cr@p today too, sluggish, blah, upset tummy. Definitely overdid it yesterday. But will move forward, I know it’s just a temporary gain. Though I do think that’s going to kill my chances of hitting my goal this round, ugh.
2/4 126.4 Ok 2lb of that temporary gain is gone.. doubt I’m gonna get rid of 2 more by the time this challenge is over. We’re having a soup cook off at work today, not a huge fan of soup, so may just skip that and have one of the deli sandwiches, hopefully I can remain under goal. I did well this challenge, got to my lowest weigh-in yet, my goal is just out of reach.
