I'm already noticing I fit in the car seat better, even with a coat on. I got my steps in this morning walking back and forth from the kitchen sink with a quart jar of warm water to pour along the edges of the car door so we could get in it to take Girlfriend to have a sleep study done. She snores very loudly, so something's up with that, and all we need is really the formal diagnosis.
I am really enjoying the improvement in my energy and it seems to help to calm me and make me more able to cope.5 -

I'm plugging along. Didn't log Tuesday evening because I went to book club, where the host provides dinner (which was delicious and included brown butter pie and FIVE other pie choices). I have no idea how many calories it was, but it doesn't appear to have thrown me off much. Exercise went well this week also. I hurt my ankle last week, but it's feeling a lot better, though not completely back to my normal walking pace on the treadmill.4 -
I am so very tired. I do not enjoy sitting for hours but nothing can be done for that right now. Had a great work out last night, planning a more relaxed pilates type work out tonight. I think food was okay, will finish logging it in a bit. Really want ice cream and sleep... and a hot shower...3

I think I would be doing better if I were exercising but I haven't been. I have a hundred excuses, but it comes down to laziness.
You're still averaging over a pound a week. Slow and steady wins the race. Add in exercise when you're ready, and you'll be unstoppable!3 -

Dianeauman - Thumbs up for you for documenting everything you ate and why, that's huge.
Although I'm not losing weight, I noticed yesterday that I could almost zip down the bottom zipper of my winter coat ( over my hips & butt ), another 10pds and I can stay warm, although it will be spring by then.
I exercise on the fit board, and now I'm checking out 3 different exercise programs at the senior center. One is chair yoga, one is strength exercise and the other one is strength & balance. Although I'm not 60+ ( I am standing on the doormat to enter that realm ), I am more than welcome and it doesn't cost a dime. The 1st strength & balance class I went to, I was impressed. They were using 5pd weights and above plus ankle weights. Their kicking my butt !!5 -
Just saw this group ... Ok if I join? 245 and looking to hit 210!6

I would love to join this group. What do I have to do? I've lost 12.4 lbs since December. I am at 252 lbs now. I really need to get more off.5

And it's easy that way because it's convenient. I have a rule that I only have tea with my meals, and drink water in between times. If I drink hot tea in the morning and one glass of water over the morning (24 oz glass) a glass of tea at lunch and another 24 oz of water over the afternoon, and a glass of tea and an last 24 oz glass of water, I have my water goal met, and I'm not drinking so much tea I get shaky. But more and more I'm finding that even at meals, I just want ice water.
Thank you so much for the tip!!! I may have to try that and trick my brain lol.3 -
Good morning! I had a proud moment yesterday. My husband loves food and for Valentine’s Day I ordered in from a pizza place. I planned ahead for a salad and one slice of pizza. It also came with desert which I didn’t have. I accounted for all the calories and was only over by 100 for the day yesterday. There were many times throughout the day that I found a reason why I should be eating just one bite of desert or one cookie or one.... but I resisted!!!
We are going ice fishing for the day today. I don’t have many groceries in my house for healthy snacks but I’m going to get creative and count my calories ahead of time so I know exactly what I can eat and I don’t overdue it.
Feel free to share a time where you were proud of yourself recently 🙂.4 -

Oh! Thank you for the reminder about the senior center. I need to check out the one near me. I love how senior places have accommodations for mobility issues, and are always welcoming. I wish there were "middle age" centers with that atmosphere.2 -

I know it's frustrating when the hard work doesn't show up on the scale, but know that what you're doing is good for your body. Sometimes the weight changes lag a little and show up later all at once. I don't know why it's that way, but we just have to be patient...and complain to our friends!5 -
Welcome aboard wsirwin3 & Armygirl - you are MORE than welcome.
All you need to do is tell us your starting weight ( claim the number ), which you have done, then "you" choose a weigh in date that works for you, and check in with your lose or gain ( accountability ) once a week. Meanwhile, join us anytime for any inspiration, advise, joys or just to vent. Can't wait to get to know you.1 -
Went bridesmaid dress shopping yesterday. Talk about a self esteem killer, lol. Thought I would be an 18 or a 20, ended up buying a 22 - still, that’s a dress size down from my wedding dress about a year and a half ago. Wedding isn’t until August, I wasn’t wearing shapewear (as I went straight there from work), and I have historically lost weight much faster in the summer when I am not dealing with sommuch stress, so I thought about buying the 20 anyway, but they assured me they could take in up to 2 sizes without compromising the dress, we’ll see.

I missed my weigh-in, but my bra went from fitting with an extender to fitting without the extender, so I'm going in the correct direction here. I need to lose just a tad more to get it to fit comfortably longer in the day, but this is progress.6

After a brutal week which was mentally tiring, I still managed to lose weight. (Will post the numbers when I get into that comp). Two days over calories, two days waaaay under. A couple of missed workouts. I'll take it.
This week on vacation - well most of the week might have to go it to finish up what was going on that week.
Today I got an hour on my total gym then an hour or so if reading. Now onto cleaning. Then the Daytona 500 is on. 😊
Hope you all have a great day.3 -

Hi everyone! In Canada it’s family day weekend - I hope my fellow Canadians are enjoying some time with their families!
Yesterday was a bit of a bust. We went to an ice fishing fundraiser and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I didn’t have many groceries in my house so it was hard to pack healthy snacks. There were going to be hot dogs so I tracked two.
Problem is, I was stress eating before going. Sometimes I get a fast sugar crash with the shakes and if I’m not near food I panic. So I think I was nervous this might happen so I kept eating and eating (fairly healthy stuff) before going. And because I wasn’t sure what the washroom situation was, I was afraid to drink too much water, which probably triggered me to feel hungry when I was actually thirsty!
Soooooo lol. I ate almost all my calories before leaving at 11am!!! I had the two hot dogs and some crackers on our way home. So overall I’m happy considering I wasn’t in a controlled situation
Im going grocery shopping tomorrow and will plan my meals for the week and make sure I have snacks on hand. Lesson learned about stress eating.
I hope everyone had a great day! Thanks for listening to my thoughts.4 -
Lost 3.4 lbs since weigh in last Monday! Now at 203.2 lbs which is less than my Feb starting weight. Last week wasn’t too bad, I did quite well on a few days and didn’t over indulge like I did so badly the week before!
Have a good week everyone! 🙂5 -

I already posted about having a butt in chair week last week, plus no loss the week before. I am happy at -3 lbs.
Got in a quick 10 minutes this morning, hoping to kick it with cleaning then maybe another 10 or 20 minutes later. Breakfast with my aunts and nephew tomorrow morning. Then maybe a couple hours of work. I will be 100% happy if they say they don't need me though!
Already 1.5 books read on my vacation!!! I get so behind reading and I love to read!
I am sure there have been plenty of NSV's in the past week but right now I can't think of one I can post

Hi 👋 m 217! I need to lose around 89 lbs. I’m having a posterior hip replacement and need to lose weight before surgery. It will make healing faster and I really have to be able to maintain to keep my hip healthy. I’m 39. Mom to five ages from 18 to almost 1. I work in a deli and on my feet hustling most days. I can’t work out bc of my hip but hope to get in to water therapy for my hip. So this was s diet only til I’m better and I’m gonna be wAlking every where! I can’t wait to be able to walk and exercise again 🙃.6

TOM finally showed up and so I'm just going to keep on keeping on and waiting for my uterus to get tired of trying to chew its way out of the small of my back. (sigh)1
