Have kind of an emotional (negative) day, and while I did contemplate a pity party for one with beer and ice-cream, I didn't do it as I hadn't budgeted the calories.40

I have logged in for over 100 days! I am happy about that, but I have not logged my food everyday. My life has gotten so stressful that I have been letting things slide. Any suggestions on how to get back to it? I have not logged my food in 6 weeks. I will take another victory in that I have maintained and not gained-kind of a scale victory, but being aware of my intake has been a struggle. I really need to get back to logging. It just feels like one more thing I have to do when it is all so hard right now. I could use a little advice.24

Honestly @rhwiblin it is still down to you. You were logging you food for a reason, you had a goal to achieve. At any point I say if you are overweight and you want to lose weight you will - as long as you want it more than the food, the sitting down, the drinking, etc.
Stress is a factor that can lead us to eat as we have been trainined to see food as a reward or comfort. If you really want to lose weight and you are not because you have stopped tracking then you are possibly adding to your stress by not achieving what you want to. Honest tracking will take one less concern away.
Well done on not gaining over the last few weeks9 -
So two years ago I bought one of Fitness Blender's workout programs for my birthday. I have never completed it 🙄. The most I have been through it is almost 3 weeks and then for some reason I stopped and haven't ever finished it - though I have restarted it several times!
My NSV is that I decided to try again and today marks one week down. I am hoping that by posting on here I can motivate myself to keep going. I am on an extended vacation due to the coronavirus - I work on China, went on vacation and now it is lasting longer because of the virus. My work told me things probably won't get back to normal until May so even though I hope to get back to China within the next 3 weeks, I will still have lots of free time to work on the program. And do some hiking - my schedule at work hasn't let me do that like I used to, but with the free time I should be able to do it again18 -
I haven't actually ran in about two months... I just have not had the energy, short of breath all the time, etc.
I've done intervals here and there, but nothing substantial. First trimester is nearly over and I finally feel like I have my energy back.
I set out to run intervals the other day, using the 5k app. I usually opt for the 2 min running, 1 min walking set when I do decide to run intervals. The first running interval ended and I just kept running. Through all of them. I got about two miles in. I am so happy and I'm hoping to work my way back up to 5+ miles as it gets warmer.
Also, I made homemade ice cream and turtle brownies (my guilty pleasure) last night for my husband and I. I dished us both up separate bowls, and kept my portions down to stay within my calories. I ended up getting too full on it and only ate about 2/3 anyway, giving the rest to my husband to finish. I've come a long way from eating just for the pleasure of it and the flavor. I'm so proud that I'm able to listen to my body and stop myself when I'm full. It helps to remind myself that there will always be more brownies and ice cream, or whatever it is I'm eating. I don't need to eat myself sick. It will be there tomorrow.22 -
semi-scale victory. I lost weight in the week leading up to my TOM (I know TMI). I usually completely give into the mindless munchies with no control. I'm not completely buying what the scale said this morning (I'm a little dehydrated) but it is definitely down.13

Today I've logged in for 45 straight days, weighed in at least once a week, and in that time I lost 0.8lbs (better than a gain!). I've tracked my food completely a majority of days, and have exercised 4-5 days each week.
My biggest NSV right now is that I have evaluated the data over the past 45 days, and today I made a plan on how to make some actual progress on the weight loss front.27 -
stupid website is telling me it didn't post, only to find that it doubled posted instead....see below2

@rhwiblin Is there a time of day that you are least stressed out? In the morning, right before bed time, etc? I'd suggest trying to pre-planning and pre-logging your next day's meal during that least stressful time. That way you have a plan in place for the next day and aren't being hit with all the decision making during that time; instead, you've made the decisions during a least stressful period. Then the only decision you have to make is to stick with the plan!13 -
