I have logged in for over 100 days! I am happy about that, but I have not logged my food everyday. My life has gotten so stressful that I have been letting things slide. Any suggestions on how to get back to it? I have not logged my food in 6 weeks. I will take another victory in that I have maintained and not gained-kind of a scale victory, but being aware of my intake has been a struggle. I really need to get back to logging. It just feels like one more thing I have to do when it is all so hard right now. I could use a little advice.
@rhwiblin Is there a time of day that you are least stressed out? In the morning, right before bed time, etc? I'd suggest trying to pre-planning and pre-logging your next day's meal during that least stressful time. That way you have a plan in place for the next day and aren't being hit with all the decision making during that time; instead, you've made the decisions during a least stressful period. Then the only decision you have to make is to stick with the plan!13 -
The jorring belt I struggled to get on over my hoodie and jeans in September fell down around my knees when I put it on over two hoodies, compression pants, and jeans...17

Forgot my lunch at home today and ordered Jimmy John's to be delivered. I did not order chips and I got a veggie-loaded sandwich! Glad to still feel like I can reach my goals, even when things don't go as planned..18

Today I've logged in for 45 straight days, weighed in at least once a week, and in that time I lost 0.8lbs (better than a gain!). I've tracked my food completely a majority of days, and have exercised 4-5 days each week.
My biggest NSV right now is that I have evaluated the data over the past 45 days, and today I made a plan on how to make some actual progress on the weight loss front.[/quote
Great job logging and evaluating.2 -
You know that feeling when you are looking in the mirror and you can see something is changing/has changed but it takes ages to determine what?
One of the things I (and many with me) have is some flabby skin as a result of the weight loss I have had. I have some on my stomach. It is most pronounced in the plank position when it has a droplet form. It is my battle scar and it does not bother me. It shows me how far I have come.
But no matter how much it is not something that bothered me, it is an NSV that I share Today during my morning workout I noticed both more toning on my stomach which I was happy about. But what the NSV is: in plank a distinct reduction of the droplet!
So there I am 51 years old and my skin is still firming up due to exercise!22 -
I think this is a pretty amusing NSV. I had a sore hip joint for a couple of days and couldn't figure out why. Was it my loaded squats? Was I walking wrong? Finally I figured it out. I've lost enough fat from my thighs that it actually was pulling my right leg into an uncomfortable position and putting tension on the muscle. I put a pillow between my knees, instantly felt better.14

I have been continuing to get consistent compliments from the gym from strangers and even trainers too! I work hard, push hard, willing to go beyond my thresholds and fail, and it shows. I take my rest days too, but it seems like I'm getting noticed for putting in a lot of commitment, effort and fearlessness to go above and beyond. The other day a very excited regular ran up to me and said "What's your name?! What's your name?!" I told him, and then he quickly turned around to one of the trainers and said "She's the one I've been telling you about! She's the one! She trains hard and is here everyday!" The trainer laughed kindly, because he is actually my mentor! It feels good to be noticed. Getting attentionis not my reason for training that way, but it sure boosts my confidence and keeps me going when I think I don't have it in me to do another lift, but I'm willing to go that extra mile am able to do some more anyway! I'm so grateful for the positive support all around me!25

Scale hasn’t been budging recently and I know that can be for so many reasons
.
But—when I measured myself today, it confirmed that I had lost 2.5” off of my waist, 2” off of my hips, 1” off of each thigh.

My wedding rings fit!! My rings stopped fitting a little less than 3 years ago when I was pregnant. Last Friday, my "stand in" ring broke because the band is thin and soft. I was annoyed and decided not to even bother getting it fixed since this was the second time. Instead I went hunting through my jewelry box to see if I had any old rings that would fit. For the heck of it, I also tried on my wedding rings with no expectation of getting them on. But I did! All the way. They are still uncomfortably snug, so I'm not actually wearing them again but just knowing they fit and I'm only a few pounds away from wearing them is so motivating.30
