@aerohead21 maybe try journaling. Just ask yourself to write down how you are feeling, and why you are feeling it. Try to zone out of your conscious mind and just see what comes out. I can surprise myself with that technique. I should do it more often and why I don't is another interesting question and should probably journal about!!
@Tarzan37 love that you went back for a second look and got a better number! It's amazing how we can change in the matter of hours. I went to the doctor's office and almost fell of the scale when I saw the number there (shoes off but clothes on, in the afternoon). Was not prepared for that after weighing in at home first thing before a shower!
@FadedNovelty I don't have cheat days per se but I do have "planned indulgences" when I know I will have special events/foods and I want to enjoy myself. I don't consider anything off limits now; I am more just trying to prioritize and manage portions better. But I totally get looking forward to a special event/food and wanting to just let go and enjoy it!
My big plan for the weekend is to get back into the exercise routine. Travel, a busy week at work, and wanting to go to bed at 8:30 has been making it hard this week! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!6 -
@gorgeous2343 Welcome! While it is easy to beat yourself up thats not going to help you in regards to your journey. It took time to put the weight on and its going to take time to get it off. There is a sense of urgency I read in your post and my guess that you want to do this as fast as possible to get your health back on track. Just know that everyone here is extremely supportive of one another. While not the same, it took me going to the doctors and seeing 300 for the first time to slap me in the face and motivate me to get things under control. We all have our different motivators but health seems to be a top one for everyone. Step 1 is coming up with a plan. So what changes do you feel you can make today? What changes do you want to work towards?8

All of my body is swollen from this allergic reaction.
I'm also so hungry! I'm tired and healing and I guess my body's response to that is MOAR FOOD because I'm just dying to inhale the biggest sandwich I can find.
One of those scenarios where food is "what my body wants" but what is actually needed is sleep and antihistamines, so listening to myself would completely fail to make anything better.11 -

Hi I’m having a surgery in June. I’m doing it with diet mainly calories trying to go for 1200/1600. By far no real plan yet though I’m gonna sit down tonight and plan my next two weeks as I want to start carb cycling again which helped me very well last time. I’m gonna try eating more fish less meat more veg less carb. Even though I’m not on a definite plan thus far I’ve just ate a lot less than usual.4 -

Today's weigh in was a nice surprise as I was afraid I was not going to see the scale move. My body seems to be following a pattern. Nice loss around the first of the month then I usually maintain a week sometimes 2. Then another loss. I am so, so close to Onederland!! If my pattern holds steady I should hit it my first week in March! This is exciting as I think it's been about 15 years since I have seen any number on the scale that didnt start with a 2! Happy dancing!! Have a great weekend ladies! ♡16 -
@Candyn617 Awesome loss‼️ You go girl❣️
Had an ok week. Was not feeling hot so I didn’t get a lot of exercise in this week. There’s a flu going around but I’m dodging it Matrix style 🤨

@pamiede Thank you! We are both so close to getting under 200 and into Onederland! If not next week, hopefully the week after!! You are an inspiration and your hardworking and dedication shows in your pictures! Wonderful transformation!! I am not photogenic and avoid cameras like the plague. Always have. Hoping this will change as I get closer to goal. Self image is something I will always have to work on. I admire people who are confident in their skin no matter what their size. You are beautiful then and now! Keep rocking it!!11

I’m discovering a beautiful inner peace doing this program. Having my meals basically planned out a day or so ahead is such a relief. Keeping my gym bag packed and ready. Winding down to be in bed for 10:30. I’m so grateful that my prayers for balance and relief from the chaos are being answered. God is good. I’ve never felt so peaceful before. I say thank you to this great big love that does not let me go.15

Hi everyone! I had my 4th and last baby last summer, and now that we're done with breastmilk, it's time I get serious about weight loss and health. I had lost 56 lbs at one point between the 2nd and 3rd babies, but gained 66 by the end of January. I've now lost 11 since beginning this new wl journey Feb 1st. It's not too hard so far, but I know it'll get harder. So far all I'm doing is eating much more sensibly (no excuse of being a dairy cow anymore!), and going on long walks, sometimes with a kid or 2, sometimes after their bedtime and I get to have some peace. I live at the top of a 70 ft hill, so it's easy to work in a good incline and break a sweat.

In hs I remember thinking I was enormous at 148. I would kill to be that light now! Well, maybe not kill, but, you know...
Good luck everyone!14 -

💕 We've made it through the first month of 2020! For a lot of us, goals were set in January and healthy behaviors were put in place. Now is the time to buckle down and keep on working hard!
💕 Let's keep the momentum going and stay fired up! Feel free to share anything that has been working well for you or anything you were surprised or excited by last month.
🌷If you're new to this group, we post our weekly and monthly goals and provide support and motivation to each other as we share our triumphs and our struggles. This group is all about accountability.
🌷All are welcome and, if you think you belong here, you do! No matter how much you currently weigh or how you measure (or don't measure) your weight, we'd love to hear from you.
🌷Victories, both scale and non-scale, are great to hear about, but, conversely, we know that weight loss isn't all sunshine and roses. If you're going through a rough patch, please feel free to be honest and vent your heart out. The struggle is real and we're all here to support each other!
💗We've got this, ladies! Here's to a fantastic February!💗

Emotional meltdown yesterday about house hunting and all that entails, and.... I stayed within my calories. I did not binge. I took a rescue med and calmed down and did quiet things and then went to bed. This is a victory. I distinctly remember times when I threw All The Food at a meltdown and finally went to bed sick and feeling generally grubby and not very adult.
Looking at a house today, may be IT. (It would be nice. I am TIRED of looking.) And have an afternoon planned in which I can just... come home and rest afterwards. And think.

Happy Happy Happy! Made it to my initial goal weight 30 days ahead of time🎊. We are heading to New Orleans on vacation in March and I really wanted to be under 230 pounds. I had a crazy eating week after Valentines Day but still managed to be under 230! Hoping to hit 225 before we hit Cafe Du Monde😂😂!!

@BrownSugar174 have a celebratory beignet for me!! That is going to be my treat post goal achievement, a trip to New Orleans and Cafe Du Monde for a nationally known beignet! LOL
I haven't really gotten to read all the posts from the last two days, but I promise to catch up. My family has lived a whirlwind the last two days...my MIL is starting the proceedings for divorce from my FIL (husband's step dad). In the last few days she obtained evidence of infidelity (photos and text messages from his cell). My husband accompanied her to an attorney yesterday and she had a mere 8 hours to get her belongings from the home. She will be staying with us and her mother until repairs can be made to my husband's childhood home for her to return to live there. I haven't logged in until today and I did manage to catch up on my diary logging and got a good work out in packing for her, bless her heart. I managed to log another loss this week but will save my official post until next week with my updates, considering it has been too crazy here! I can report a 9.6 lb weight loss since 01/31. Good luck to you all! I know you are working hard. I did get to see Brownsugar's post above and many congrats to her and all who have achieved what they have this past week. Keep us in your thoughts over the next little bit as FIL is a horrendous alcoholic and can have anger problems. My husband hasn't been able to have a good relationship with his mom since their marriage, as FIL has done everything possible to isolate her from her family. Little did he know my husband and I would never abandon MIL in her time of need! Much love to you MFP gals!!!14
