2/27: 144.0 (+1.4) – Water, salt, digestive issues. Calories were not over but did drink and it was salty food. It’s going to be a challenging few days with social stuff last night, tonight, Fri and Sat. I am really going to have to bank calories during the day and exercise.
2/28: 143.8 (-.2) – Going to try to run today – gotta burn some cals heading into a busy social weekend. Happy FriYay all…..Looking forward to March and some spring like weather. In TX that could be 50 or 90 😎
2/29: 142.0 (-1.8) – This can’t be correct but I weighed 4 times with and without an 8 lb dumb bell and resetting the scale. Also, I purposely only had a 300 cal protein bar at lunch yesterday and saved my calories for dinner at 7 so I ate most of them back late! I will see them tomorrow or Monday as I am out tonight as well at Make-A-Wish Fundraiser with Barbecue/drinks. Back on track tomorrow. Happy Leap Year y’all!🤩

3/2: 143.0 (+1.0) - This is what they call a “Burger and Fries” hangover! But it was good! I ate way under my cals though because it was a 2 pm gut bomb. Dinner was zucchini noodles and spinach. Looking for a sports med doc today to give me some direction on hip pain. In the mean time, I will have to focus on the calories in part of the equation! ➕➖➗✖

02/27 258.8 I was so sick yesterday I barely got out of bed, so this must be water retention from the chicken soup and crackers. Between the fall and getting sick it looks like Feb will be a wash. That’s okay though life happens, and I know all of this is water bounce up that will go once I’m eating properly again.
02/28 260.0 I ate low yesterday, so I guess this is from the day before or more water retention. I felt a lot better yesterday and over did things a bit so I’m going to try to take things easier today.

02/27 - 365.8 - Small uptick. Found that if I use ACV before a high(er) carb meal will balance blood sugar levels and it seems to help w/ my weight. I've been doing a lot of research, especially those doctors and dieticians (not YouTube influencers) that have done real research.
02/28 - 365.8 - I think stress is really hurting my rest. Job hunting isn't going as well as I need and it's definitely taking it's toll.
02/29 - 364.5 - First time in days I got decent sleep... and the drop proves it. Also started weight-work w/ kettlebell and free weights.
03/01 - 364.3 - Ate a donut yesterday (lol). The first real cheat in weeks. Tasted way too sweet. But kept myself under on my calorie limit, so that's good. I'll take the minor drop.
03/02 - 364.0 - The downward trend continues. Only 3.6 lbs. short of making my DietBet challenge. Must be at 360.4 on March 17th.

02/27: 275.1 lbs (-0.3) … starting a round without a sizable uptick for once is a nice feeling. Gym day.
02/28: 274.9 lbs (-0.2) … I was fully expecting an uptick this morning. I was about 500 calories over budget and I ate quite a bit more food volume-wise than usual… but my trip to the gym yesterday seems to have countered that. That’s a good feeling. I’m going to try to recommit to going to the gym and running now. I’ve been slacking off for a while.
02/29: 276.2 lbs (+1.3) … Gym day, went through the first workout of Starting Strength and ran 20 minutes on the treadmill.
03/01: 276.1 lbs (-0.1) … Dating/relationship anniversary with my wife. We’ll have been together 18 years.
03/02: 277.5 lbs (+1.4) … up again. I’ve been below budget, but made some salty/carby choices over the weekend. I’ve also recently started working out more so I’m guessing I have some water retention from that as well. Nothing I’m concerned about. Going to the gym after work to lift and most likely run. Signed up for a 5k race on 4/25 and a 3.5 mile race in May. Also signed up for a step challenge at work that starts in a couple weeks, which should get me moving even more.

First we were on vacation, then we had company for a week, and I was lazy about weighing in and logging at the same time that I was extra loose with my calories, and especially my sugar intake. First time back on the scale today after feeling pretty comfortable with 125.4 lbs as my last recorded weight. I honestly can't believe I'm only up by a single pound! Why, then, do I *feel* so much...squishier??

02/28 …..195.8 ….. I had dinner at DD#2 last night and some glorious time with my DGS #4. She tries to keep it a bit more carb and calorie conscious for me which is very thoughtful. Not as on plan as at home but not too bad. I am unsure of exact calories & carbs, info too sketchy when I’m not sure of exact recipe, but overall didn’t seem too bad. I walked with my son at school during conferences since school was open. A little slower as he is not used to it, about 3.0 mph but I was proud of him. My total calorie burn for 110 minutes was 597. I walked 18,119 steps for the day, 7.67 Total Miles, burned 2839 Total Calories. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 47 minutes and only woke up once! An average day overall.

And I only ate ½ my dinner and brought the other half home for my son! I deserve every bit of this. My walk was 93 minutes. Feeling weak and unprepared. Uggg.

...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year. Then I had back surgery. Now I'm waiting to get my hip fixed. Hip Doc said surgery in April. Ugh! I can't do any walking or biking...both kill me. I see my personal trainer three times a week. She is taking it very slow and easy with me.
I have March 10th as my hip surgery date...much better than April!

My goal was to get down below 160, to allow me to enjoy the indulgences of holidays and celebrations.
2019
I exceeded that and have been below 150 for most of the last 2 months.
In 2018, I put on 10 lbs over the last 2 months of the year.
In 2019, I consistently lost weight since the end of July. I put on about 4lbs over the Christmas break, but was still below my original 2019 goal.
That's a WIN in my book!
I need this more than ever now that I am in maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.

REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.

02/27 - 188.2 not feeling very well today, my supervisor yelled at me for no reason today for 45 minutes and it made me feel so bad about myself I got sick and threw up in our bathroom. I asked why he's cancelled all of our meetings for the past 6 months, because I was worried something was up, and he just like, transformed into a different person and yelled at me for implying he wasn't invested or interested in his "subordinates." He sent me a bunch of angry emails afterwards and I am freaking out trying to figure out how to move forward. I can't believe my one sentence question that I thought was pretty reasonable/innocent created such a hurricane of anger
02/28 - 187.6 still haven't responded to any emails, kind of worried my working relationship with this person is destroyed even though I really don't think I did anything wrong. At least my weight is down, which is nice, but it might just be from being so sick. Got sick again later today and threw up again. Broke keto so I could eat some crackers to try to settle my stomach

I took the rest of February off from logging and weighing in daily, but I was mindful of my eating, even with a few "cheat" foods. I didn't gain anything more than normal fluctuations, so I'm pretty proud of myself for that! I'm ready to get back to releasing more weight now. 😁
