3 days AF .. I did look at the beer in my fridge .. aaand grabbed water 🤣9

As usual, I am going to try for 16-20 AF days for the month.
I had 18AF days for January
I had a surprising (and record setting for me) 21AF days for the short month of February!
Sunday March 01 - AF - The month kind of came in like a lamb out West.
Monday March 02 - AF - Tomorrow is my designated drinks day, we'll see. It could have been the strategy that led to 2 AF days in a row, knowing that I have a drinks day coming up. Definitely going to stick with my newest rule to have at least 2 AF days in a row in between which will add up over the month.
Tuesday March 03 - AF - It is my designated drink day, and I felt like having drinks but decided not to today.
Running tally: 3AF days out of 3 days so far.8 -
3AF days out of 3 so far for me as well!8

Third day in and this thread is on fire.
Yesterday it reached an abnormally high temperature out doors for this area at the beginning of March. The "old me" would have come home grabbed a chair on the deck, sat and drank many drinks to welcome the nice weather.
Instead.....I enjoyed picking a gazillion acorns out of my gardens so that they do not grow into mini oak trees. MIND over matter kicked in. My mind told me drinking right now does not matter.
Thanks for the great posts everyone.10 -
Hello to @doodahmom111, nice to having you joining in.
@wigi41 I remember you from the 2018 thread. So great to hear from you and to know your doing so well. Keep focused for your upcoming event as to not let your goals run away.7 -
3/4 Days AF!8

March 1 AF
March 2 wine while binge watching breaking bad🙄
March 3: AF8 -
Day 3 AF done!
Tonight I have my first "social" challenge for March. I have an event at a restaurant, with happy hour wine specials. Deciding not to over-think this. Going in with the mindset of asking for cranberry juice on ice or seltzer. Will plan on having a piece of dark chocolate and lots of water an hour beforehand. This way, I don't walk in super starving or thirsty, very key for me. Gotta walk in physically and mentally prepared.
Plus, I prefer to keep the AF streak going and save the last 2 days of the month for non-AF days should I want them.9 -
Old habit: 1-4 drinks/evening.
Goal: Ease into only drinking on Friday & Saturday! Consistently be AF 5 days a week. ( 22 AF / 31 days)
January- 15 AF / 27 days.
February - 17 AF / 29 days.
Mar 1- AF
Mar 2- AF
Mar 3- AF
3 AF / 3 days7 -
I ate so many sour belts! LOL Another day without drinking though. Plenty of water and I kicked butt with my workout. I'll take it. Less candy tomorrow though. Yikes! Goodnight y'all!8

Tonight will make it 4/4 days AF. Tuesday was the hardest because it is my most stressful day, and I like wine once I finally get home. It has been tough, which I guess tells me I really need this.
I don't necessarily plan to totally quit, just reduce (a lot).8 -
I am looking to reduce my alcohol in take as well.. I’m not perfect this week but I’m happy with my reducing. I have a very ‘social career’ that has me at many events and dinners. I normally drink between 3-5 glasses of wine an evening.. I know. A lot. However this week I’ve kept it to one vodka soda(less sugar right?) a night! It seems like a small step.. but for me this is huge.11

Wednesday March 04 - AF - I just read up on Kava, it is banned in Canada due to severe liver damage and deaths! Yikes. Guess that I won't be trying that as a relaxing alternative to booze. I will stick with my sugar free jello on AF days.
Running tally: 4AF days out of 4 days so far.8 -
4/4 AF for me. I had a work event yesterday evening with networking drinks at the end but decided that I would leave early to get home and eat properly before this morning's workout.8

Welcome @Nsalerno513. Nice to have you joining us for accountability. You and @Dnarules are definitely on the right thread. We don't ask or encourage anyone to completely stop their alcohol intake. We are here to help each other reduce in each persons own way. No competition and no pressure because we are all on our own journey.
