What I've learned about myself:
After another good week and only a 0.5lbs lost to show for it I think I must admit that a slower loss trend may be my new normal. I have lost over 30lbs and only have about 16 left to go so I'm going to look at the positives and continue to work hard for my end goal. If I can during the week I will also try and add some extra workouts or walks, but with my schedule we will see how it works out.
I have already seen improvements to my life with the weight loss I have achieved. I can accept loosing slower and working a little harder for the last bit.4 -

What I've learned about myself: I’m finding it very difficult to stick to my diet and exercise plan.
Hi Future Mrs Wallen! Perhaps it's time to enlist the help of your bridesmaids?! Do you have any nearby, who can take you on walks or workout with you? I remember wanting to lose weight before my wedding, but never did. I was still thrilled on the big day, but not as confident as I'd hoped. You've made some progress, so you know what to do. Get some friends involved to keep you focused. You'll even build your friendships in the process. It's a win-win! You can do this!2 -

Goal Weight: 180 (this is my ultimate goal weight from when I started my WLJ last April. It will mark a 100 lb total weight loss. These last 15 lbs will most likely be the toughest for me, but I will give it my best shot! Good luck everyone!)

W2 12/8: 193 (upped my workouts this past week, but have been eating back all my calories...apparently not enough! I'll take it though We'll see if it holds by next week.)

W8 1/19: 187.8 (Slow, steady, and healthy as I get closer to my ultimate goal of 180 lbs..my setting on MFP is to lose 1/2 lb per week now. I had a really good week, exercise wise. Pushed it when I didn't feel like it at the time.)
W9 1/26: 187.4 (challenge weight loss 1/2 way point, -8.2 lbs. This is actually more than I thought I would lose by this time since I am near my goal weight. Total weight loss since April 2019, -92.6 lbs.)
W10 2/2: 185.8 (Lost more than expected this week. I didn't really change anything in my daily routine. Knowing my body weight fluctuations, I'll probably be up next week. Also, I haven't been 185 lbs since 2001! .....Keep on Truckin'!)

What I've learned about myself : Things have been difficult the last couple months. Some very stressful work circumstances and deadlines. Being sick. My beloved dog died mid-January. Two things I have learned about myself: (1) I CAN manage huge levels of stress, grief, fear, and depression, without diving into a tray of Rubicon chocolate cupcakes and eating them all, (2) But also that, with respect to progress toward my MFP goals, at times like these, the best I may be capable of is to just hold the line. And that needs to be okay.

lanee2004 - This is an open challenge group but the goal end date is comimg to a close in just over 3 weeks. Go to You can go back to page 1 to the first post to read up on the intro / explanation for this challenge. If you've been tracking your weight, you could post your earlier results - I have a Fitbit scale and weigh myself daily so it's easy to know where I've been. Although I expect to fall short of my 20 lb. loss goal for this 4 month period, I started at 240 lbs. last summer and I continue to see long-term success and challenges like this help inspire and increase a sense of self-accountability to make good choices. Maybe the person who started this one will setup a new challenge for the next 4 month period but if not, there are also several monthly weight loss challenges you can join as well. Good luck in achieving your weight loss goals.

W9 1/26: 206.8 !! (This marks 30lbs down since Jun. 2019! Also just noticed i surpassed my lowest weight a couple weeks ago. Looks like i was 210 back in 2013 which was previously my lowest weight recorded here on mfp!)
