    Hi all,

Nothing too fancy to report. I had a pretty balanced day with clients and some time to catch up on things. Got to chat with some friends tonight and that was nice. Heading to bed early again! @beachwalker99 aren't you proud! Thinking of everyone affected by COVID right now. G'night all!

@TerriRichardson112 Shamrock me for today please (12)!
@beachwalker99 That sounds so stressful. Proud of you for being responsible and safe. I'm happy to send you my # if you're bored and need someone to text with! How long will you need to self-isolate for? I supposed it depends on if the student tests positive or negative. You're in my thoughts, and hopefully you'll get good news.

    Just for Today-Thursday
go to bed between 9-10 (previous night) ✅
    ½ report ✅
    drink 80 oz water ✅
    Do dishes ❌
Tidy up for 15 minutes ❌
Meet daily recs for the 5 food groups ✅
Stay in the green (1.2-1.4k calories) ✅
Track food, exercise, water, daily goals, post on JFT ✅

    JFT Thurs

    Log food <3
    Stay green <3
Do not stress eat :| I had a mini cinnamon bun instead of swearing at a colleague. I confess.
Try a new cardio routine <3
    LAUNDRY <3

    JFT Friday

Sunday's bane of my existence is still on. We are JUST skirting under the number the Feds have given as a no go. I spent an hour redoing the seating assignments so everyone had a good bubble of space. I wouldn't be stunned if it got cancelled tomorrow but we have only a few cancellations so far. Most people feel pretty untouchable I guess. I don't consider this a positive.

    Log food
    Stay green
    Clean kitchen
Light cardio, body is sore, respect it
    Get some groceries

Strange to go into a nearly empty work today. Had success with a virtual workshop, nice to get our tools working. Still on track for eating and exercise, but boy when at home and at a table near the kitchen all that food calls me. Things are ramping up here too. I'm now required to take my laptop home every day in case a case is detected and everyone has to self-isolate. This means no running to work anymore; don't want to be running with a laptop. I'm going to try to work from home more instead as then I can go for a run at lunch and also I can reduce my exposure to the underground which is clearly a breeding ground for all bugs... (Although apparently Transport for London is stepping up its cleaning and switching to hospital style disinfecting).

Trying not to get too freaked out about the whole thing. I am probably pretty low risk given my age, though I do have asthma and I don't know if that raises my risk at all. I haven't found very clear information on that. My asthma is pretty mild though so it's probably not an issue. More concerned about my mum though who is 69 and still ploughing on with everything as normal including on Saturday when she will be singing in a concert for several hundred people! I'm really hoping the organisers have the brains to cancel it. Most of the audience tend to be older so it feels like a very stupid idea to go ahead with it. Why is it so difficult to get parents to take care of themselves?!

Anyway, it's sunny, and it's Friday. Happy Friday everyone!

    Yesterday's goals:

    - Track all food and drink :)
    - Be in the green :/
    - Not have unplanned snacks/ binge outside the home :)

    - Walk to meeting :)
    - Positive affirmations :/

    - Finish work at 7pm
    - Talk to boyfriend in French :/
    - Gratitude journal :/
    - Lights off by 11

    Today's goals:

    - Track all food and drink
    - Stick to food plan
    - Not have unplanned snacks/ binge outside the home

    - Take regular ‘breathe/ reframe’ breaks at work to manage emotions
    - Positive affirmations

    - Finish by 6pm
    - Talk to boyfriend in French
    - French book
    - Make a plan for weekend
    - Gratitude journal

    WFTY: DEPTH
    Depth Year - Updates
I definitely have way too much stuff. I need to streamline my existence, resist adding more stuff, and start using what I have already got. I have been working towards doing this for several years with my decluttering. I need to stop the march of consumerism, and putting money into the pockets of other people by buying things I want rather than actually need.
03 Jan: This is going to be way harder than I thought. Need to work out strategies and guidelines for what I can and cannot purchase.
    1. I have a stack of books which I haven't read. I will read one of those book a month, and not buy any more books this year. I will source any other books I want to read at the library.
    2. Book 1: The Illusionists - Rosie Thomas ✅
    3. Book 2: Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine, Gail Honeyman✅
    4. Book 3: Nothern Lights Ch 8
    5. I have closets full of clothes that no longer fit. I will work my way through them over the next two months, and either alter them to fit, or donate them to charity.
    6. 07 Jan: One bag already full and ready to go to the charity shop
    7. I have a lot of Craft supplies. I will optimise what I have before I buy any new supplies. Sticking to this one will be difficult.
    8. 07 Jan: Depth Year: I have Patchwork Craft this morning. I will pick out one of my ongoing projects and work on it to completion. No new projects until I have finished at least 3 ongoing ones.
    9. 14 Jan: Craft Group: working on patchwork project from last Tues.

    Hey team,

Mixed news today-I found out that credentialing for the job I'm applying to takes about 4 months, and I can't start until that is set. That is much longer than I expected for starting the job, but I'm trying to look at it as a positive. This will give me more time to prepare, let my current work know, transition my clients, find a place, etc. The positive is that I found a great suit for my (to be determined) interview! I have a phone call with the recruiter on Tuesday morning before work, and I have NO idea what that call will entail so I'll need to do some research. Had a good day shopping with my sisters and then dinner with my bestie, so all in all a good day.

    @TerriRichardson112 Shamrock me! (7th) thanks!
@Faebert Look at all those awesome checks! Nice work!
@Bex953172 Haha that is an excellent picture. Miss you and hearing your stories, friend.
@beachwalker99 Congrats on the flowers! Planning to sleep in tomorrow and re-set my sleep goals for the week (bed by 10, up at 6).
@mytime6630 Thinking of you. That all sounds like so much to take in, and I admire how strong you are in setting a plan and staying positive. We're here for you *hugs*

    Just for Today-Saturday
go to bed between 9-10 (previous night) ✅
find the perfect suit for my interview ✅
print off some practice interview questions ❌
    1 full report ❌
    catch up all March notes
    drink 80 oz water ✅
    Do dishes ❌
Tidy up for 15 minutes ✅
Meet daily recs for the 5 food groups ✅
Stay in the green (1.2-1.4k calories) ✅
Track food, exercise, water, daily goals, post on JFT ✅

    Good morning and happy Friday!

@bookmeister86 I have asthma as well and according to National Geographic that does put us in a higher risk category. My case is mild as well except about 10 years ago I was hospitalized from a severe attack during pollen season.. which is now.. so thinking I should start carrying my emergency inhaler 😬

Hugs to all those in the path of Covid-19 ~ take care of yourselves! A few confirmed cases in my state (WI) but none within 100 miles. Both governor and my community declared a public health emergency. The annual fundraiser I was to attend tomorrow night was postponed, free village band concert on Monday canceled, and 10K race I'm registered for at the end of the month is presently taking a wait-and-see approach, but probably will cancel. Life as we know it is definitely changed.

@beachwalker99 I've been a fan of DW since the very first series with William Hartnell. I have to admit that I have a soft spot for DT myself. Also loved Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker. Most of the DW actors hav been stalwarts of British TV.

@osier5 You joined when you posted. 😂 Welcome to our happy band.

It's been a glorious day here. I even got an outdoor walk in with DH. Steps are already approaching 11000!

@bookmeister86 I've seen the parent thing from both sides. DMiL and my own dad were very independent, and headstrong as they got older. Now I'm the miscreant! Mind you, we do look after our health, but ocan be a little stubborn from time to time.

As Carmela said, take care of yourselves. It's a strange situation we are dealing with. 💕💖💕

Please check that I haven’t missed any shamrocks.

Just to clarify things, being in the green means being under or at your calorie goal for the day. If you are under goal, you get a green figure, hence ‘in the green’. You decide your own calorie goal.

Universities in my area are going online-only. I'm kind of glad that I am not teaching right now, as it is not so easy to flip from in-person to an online format overnight. Our governor just outlawed gatherings of over 250 people starting today.

My current job in state government is considered essential, so it looks like we are not going to get time off. Working from home is technically possible, but I don't think that anybody is working on setting that up. There is talk of staggered schedules, but I don't see that happening soon. I am in a rural area with no COVID-19 cases at present, but we have them in every county around me. I am taking a wait-and-see approach. I am not sure how much having chronic health issues puts me at increased risk. My parents who are both nearing 80 and immune compromised are basically holed up and planning not to leave their home for a couple of months. Really they have to do that every winter because people are so careless in spreading the flu.

They were thinking of closing the schools near me for a month, also currently in a non COVID19 area (as far as I'm aware).

Over here people have also panic-buyed. It's very hard to buy hand soap and the idea of buying sanitizer is just laughable, there's non anywhere!

I personally hate when people are careless about others when they're ill as well! I hate it when my kids get sickness bugs from school because then everyone in the house gets it!

I hope you and your parents stay well :)
