Successes of the week: I've kept my weekly calorie average on point despite day to day swings. I've been able to continue working out at the fitness center at work despite social distancing, given that there are generally only one or two (or none, if I'm there in the middle of the night) other people there.
Struggles of the week: A bit more stress at work at the hospital with the coronavirus impact beginning to be felt more strongly. I'm trying to build in more meditation and relaxation at home to compensate.
Have a great week, everyone!3 -

Success(es) of the week: eating healthy foods at home, walking/hiking a lot daily, water +, all calories tracked & at a good level, low blood pressure, sleeping better
Struggles; none, so far. When I don’t eat out, all of this is so much easier for me.

Struggle of the week: Too many bagels! Still in my maintenance range, but starting to trend a little up. That needs to stop this week.

Awesome job! You got this!1 -
@erjones11 -- if you combine those two maintenance ranges to 150-160.... you are smack dab in the middle, which should be pretty awesome news!

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: last week I was in recovery from the 40km charity walk the Sunday before (was so sore and stiff for the first half of the week, and the mega blister on the bottom of my foot continued to be tender for even longer), so stuck to restorative yoga, focused on legs, hips & feet.
I finally got that DEXA scan. Still trying to get my head around the results and work out what the key things I should be working towards.- 26.9% body fat; goal 23% (for women my age the healthy range is 23-33%; 21-24% for fitness level).
- Fat mass 17.6kg; goal 15kg (15-20kg is considered "excellent" for women, 5-15kg for professional athletes)
- Fat Mass Index 6.14kg/m2; goal 5 (5-9 healthy range for women).
- Muscle mass 48kg, which I am pretty happy with (40kg+ healthy for women). Relative Skeletal Muscle Index is 7.6kg/m2 (healthy normal 7-8, fitness level 8-9). Total lean mass/height ratio is 16.72 kg/m2 (15-18 for women is healthy). I guess it wouldn't hurt to improve on this, but I'm not sure how much additional muscle I should be working towards building (particularly considering I just do body weight exercises, at home, and have no interest in hitting the gym).
- Bone Mineral Density is 1.272g/cm2 (which puts me in the top 3% of age-matched people), and Bone Mineral Contents is 2.7kg. Happy with that.
So aim to lose 2.6 kg of fat, and build about another 1kg of muscle (n.b. the day I had the scan my weight was up 1.8kg from the weight I'm trying to maintain, so I don't think I need to adjust my maintenance goal weight).

Successes/struggles: I’ve been weighing and logging my food very well. I have increased my exercise – swimming twice, gym twice and been out on my bike. My average steps were over 10,000 last week. My weight did drop to 50 kg exactly on Friday so there is a definite downward trend.
We have just been given advice that over 70s should stay home for the foreseeable future. (I’m in England) Luckily, I’m not quite 70 but many of my friends are. Having been at home for 6 weeks following my op I’m not looking forward to it. I’ve only just got back to a fairly normal lifestyle.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I didn't even notice due to being sick, but I'm at about my 2 year maintenance point now. My weight is still dropping a bit, but I'm also still not yet doing much in terms of strength training workouts. I made some progress with workouts and finally accomplished one pull-up! I also increased my chin-ups number to 6. On Monday, my boss told everyone to go home and telework for the foreseeable future, so now I'll have more time to do workouts and such, but it'll also be more difficult to get my steps.4 -

Hi! My name is Kristen. And I struggle to maintain my weight. I have had great success losing/gaining, but I'm hoping this group helps me be more accountable. I weigh only 1x week on Sundays, so that's when I'll check in. My 2 goals in 2020 are to not let the scale go above 153 and weigh in EVERY Sunday for the WHOLE YEAR. This seems easy to most, but I get lazy and make excuses why I don't need to weigh in and then all of a sudden everything in my closet has shrunk. LOL

Struggle of the week: Trying to contain the stress eating; scale is going up steadily.

Struggles: Knee is still really stiff sometimes and others feels perfectly fine. Being at home all the time. I’d set my life around routine that included 40 hours of work. If my knee was 100% healthy it’d be a great time to ramp up my ultra training. Taking it easy and 1 day at a time

The scale belies the roller coaster of this week. I had hunger/cravings one day that far surpassed anything so far in maintenance, and I was probably +3,000 calories on that day. I suspect stress and mediocre sleep contributed. The success was in buckling down the next few days.
Having the fitness center closed has finally forced me to be less of a weather wimp and take my runs outside (which, yes, is easier to do in March than it would have been in December.) Still, it's cold and I *kitten* and moan about it. I'm still getting in 20K+ steps. Beyond that, I'm just taking it one day at a time and trying to appreciate the calm before the storm at work.
Hang in there, everyone!4 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I've probably been eating a bit more than I should, and not sticking as strictly to the "no snacking" rule. Am finding the whole coronavirus crisis stressful. It's not that I'm worried about myself or really even my family, but more that this is having a huge impact on our society, the goal posts keep shifting, and I don't think my political leaders in Australia are doing a very good job of managing it or communicating. It's like watching a car accident in slow motion. Can't look away, and knowing worse is to come.
I'm going to try 'looking away' for a while to focus on stuff more within my control, to minimise stress, etc.3 -

Thanks! I think I'm nearing the end of this illness, though I managed to develop an allergic reaction to the antibiotics I was taking, so I'm working on recovering from that as well!1 -

Successes/struggles: The sports centre closed so I can’t swim or gym, and I had only just re-started following my op earlier in the year so I was fed up. However, I can walk and do more aerobic/cardio workout than before the op so I’m doing that. My weight is on a slow downward trend but I don’t want to go to low as I may need some resilience if I catch the virus. We are being advised/instructed to stay home so I’m only going into town for shopping and nowhere else. My walking is round my (low-density) suburban neighbourhood where I meet very few people and can enjoy the peace and quiet – no planes, very little traffic, just the birds making a racket and a few lawnmowers.
Stay well, stay indoors, look after yourselves.4 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week:
My weight is going up. Time to knuckle down. I suspect that my running around doing errands, etc was more exercise than I realized. I've actually have been not so hungry. Just eating because it is on my plan. I will try one more week of being very accurate with my logging and logging consistently and see if I can reverse the direction. Otherwise, I will need to cut my calorie goal. 😒3 -

Eric,
Have you considered using a weight trend app and reporting your trend? In fact, I think in this thread it's expected that you report at least your seven-day (or ten day) AVERAGE weight since it's pretty much expected you'll be up and down in maintenance, and a one-day scale weight is so much less important than what it looks like from a few steps back. Timing becomes less of an issue.

Success(es)/struggles of the week:
Some cravings to eat out which I won’t do
Clear to me eating out makes me gain.
Tired at times, but take 60-120 min walk:hike daily regardless
Feeling slimmer - clear I should not weigh over 158
Still true:
Eating more treat foods than I usually do, but in moderation - tracked & under calorie goal.
More relaxed & confident about maintaining my weight now that eating out is not an option!

March 28: 109.9 (trend 109.9)
Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I'm struggling a bit with adjusting to maintenance while staying mostly indoors. I've been getting the minimum amount of steps in each day, but it's not easy to get in extra steps like I did previously (I usually tried to hit 15k steps a couple times a week). In terms of eating, I usually eat out a couple times per week, but with cooking all of my meals and not eating out now, I'm finding that I've got what seems like a lot of extra calories, with no idea what to use them on. The next couple of months will definitely take some adjustment.4 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week; Not have been at school don't see us going back anytime soon. Weight is down for the second week in a row. Now sure how that has happened other then I've been careful and watching what I am eating more than usual. Stay safe, stay positive.2 -
LOL

Successes/Struggles: Back up again, which is good, because I didn't want to go lower. Still almost 10lbs lower than my 'will not get above weight'. My average for the month is 142.5, still down almost 1 lb from February.
Working at home is still great. I'll be doing that until at least April 13th now. Trying to be creative on how to get groceries and keep with with family and friends without actually leaving the house. Still trying to keep up with the dog walks despite Ohio being very rainy currently.
Been baking a ton, which is something I really enjoy but stopped because I couldn't have it in the house. Still a struggle, but trying to make it work.
Let's see what this week brings! Hope everyone is hanging in there!2
