How long in maintenance: I hit my goal weight in the beginning of January 2018, but officially started maintenance in mid-March 2018 after figuring out my calories for a couple of months.
    Maintenance weight range: 108-112.5
Average weight recorded from 2018 (12 months): 109.8
Average weight recorded for 2019 (12 months): 111.2

    March 14: 109.9 (trend 110.5)
    March 21: 109.7 (trend 110)
    March 28:

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I didn't even notice due to being sick, but I'm at about my 2 year maintenance point now. My weight is still dropping a bit, but I'm also still not yet doing much in terms of strength training workouts. I made some progress with workouts and finally accomplished one pull-up! I also increased my chin-ups number to 6. On Monday, my boss told everyone to go home and telework for the foreseeable future, so now I'll have more time to do workouts and such, but it'll also be more difficult to get my steps.

Hi! My name is Kristen. And I struggle to maintain my weight. I have had great success losing/gaining, but I'm hoping this group helps me be more accountable. I weigh only 1x week on Sundays, so that's when I'll check in. My 2 goals in 2020 are to not let the scale go above 153 and weigh in EVERY Sunday for the WHOLE YEAR. This seems easy to most, but I get lazy and make excuses why I don't need to weigh in and then all of a sudden everything in my closet has shrunk. LOL

Successes/Struggles: Hmm. Back down again after less activity and more food. Still not tracking, but I know I'm eating more, more caloric things and sitting more
Interesting. Working at home this week was awesome. This 'social distancing' thing can last as long as it wants to!

Let's see what this week brings! Hope everyone is hanging in there!

HEAVIEST weight: 175.4 in early 2013.
    Total Weight lost: 30 pounds
Time it took to lose: ~6 months
How long in maintenance: Since July 2018 -- but with some fluctuation outside of goal range.
Maintenance weight range: 142 - 148 (and not sure that's the right answer)

Average weight recorded from 2017 (12 months): 163.8
Average weight recorded from 2018 (12 months): 150.7
Average weight recorded from 2019 (12 months): 144.8

Average weight recorded from December 2019: 145.0
Average weight recorded from January 2020: 143.7
Average weight recorded from February 2020: 144.2

    Average weight Week of...
March 2 (back from Roatan): 144.0
    March 2 - 8...... 144.0
    March 9 - 15...... 146.1
    March 16 - 22...... 147.2
    March 23 - 30......

Success of the week: I am still alive and relatively healthy, and my weight is still in my maintenance range.

Struggle of the week: Trying to contain the stress eating; scale is going up steadily.

My seven-day average weight is the same as my scale weight this morning, and I'm not so pleased. I'm trying not to beat myself up, but I do need to change some of my food choices.

Struggles: Knee is still really stiff sometimes and others feels perfectly fine. Being at home all the time. I’d set my life around routine that included 40 hours of work. If my knee was 100% healthy it’d be a great time to ramp up my ultra training. Taking it easy and 1 day at a time

    March 22nd: 158.6 lb (trend 159.7)

The scale belies the roller coaster of this week. I had hunger/cravings one day that far surpassed anything so far in maintenance, and I was probably +3,000 calories on that day. I suspect stress and mediocre sleep contributed. The success was in buckling down the next few days.

Having the fitness center closed has finally forced me to be less of a weather wimp and take my runs outside (which, yes, is easier to do in March than it would have been in December.) Still, it's cold and I *kitten* and moan about it. I'm still getting in 20K+ steps. Beyond that, I'm just taking it one day at a time and trying to appreciate the calm before the storm at work.

    Hang in there, everyone!

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I've probably been eating a bit more than I should, and not sticking as strictly to the "no snacking" rule. Am finding the whole coronavirus crisis stressful. It's not that I'm worried about myself or really even my family, but more that this is having a huge impact on our society, the goal posts keep shifting, and I don't think my political leaders in Australia are doing a very good job of managing it or communicating. It's like watching a car accident in slow motion. Can't look away, and knowing worse is to come.

I'm going to try 'looking away' for a while to focus on stuff more within my control, to minimise stress, etc.

Thanks! I think I'm nearing the end of this illness, though I managed to develop an allergic reaction to the antibiotics I was taking, so I'm working on recovering from that as well! :s

    March 23rd: 50.4 kg (trend 50.6)
    March 30th:

Successes/struggles: The sports centre closed so I can’t swim or gym, and I had only just re-started following my op earlier in the year so I was fed up. However, I can walk and do more aerobic/cardio workout than before the op so I’m doing that. My weight is on a slow downward trend but I don’t want to go to low as I may need some resilience if I catch the virus. We are being advised/instructed to stay home so I’m only going into town for shopping and nowhere else. My walking is round my (low-density) suburban neighbourhood where I meet very few people and can enjoy the peace and quiet – no planes, very little traffic, just the birds making a racket and a few lawnmowers.

Stay well, stay indoors, look after yourselves.

My weight is going up. Time to knuckle down. I suspect that my running around doing errands, etc was more exercise than I realized. I've actually have been not so hungry. Just eating because it is on my plan. I will try one more week of being very accurate with my logging and logging consistently and see if I can reverse the direction. Otherwise, I will need to cut my calorie goal. 😒

    Eric,

Have you considered using a weight trend app and reporting your trend? In fact, I think in this thread it's expected that you report at least your seven-day (or ten day) AVERAGE weight since it's pretty much expected you'll be up and down in maintenance, and a one-day scale weight is so much less important than what it looks like from a few steps back. Timing becomes less of an issue.

    March 28: 109.9 (trend 109.9)

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I'm struggling a bit with adjusting to maintenance while staying mostly indoors. I've been getting the minimum amount of steps in each day, but it's not easy to get in extra steps like I did previously (I usually tried to hit 15k steps a couple times a week). In terms of eating, I usually eat out a couple times per week, but with cooking all of my meals and not eating out now, I'm finding that I've got what seems like a lot of extra calories, with no idea what to use them on. The next couple of months will definitely take some adjustment.

LOL

    March 8th: 142 (Trend Weight: 142.2)
    March 15th: 142.9(Trend Weight: 142.7)
    March 22nd: 142.0(Trend Weight: 142.2)
    March 29th: 143.3(Trend Weight:142.9)

Successes/Struggles: Back up again, which is good, because I didn't want to go lower. Still almost 10lbs lower than my 'will not get above weight'. My average for the month is 142.5, still down almost 1 lb from February.

Working at home is still great. I'll be doing that until at least April 13th now. Trying to be creative on how to get groceries and keep with with family and friends without actually leaving the house. Still trying to keep up with the dog walks despite Ohio being very rainy currently.

Been baking a ton, which is something I really enjoy but stopped because I couldn't have it in the house. Still a struggle, but trying to make it work.

Let's see what this week brings! Hope everyone is hanging in there!
