    Hi all..

@theslightedgeforever Not sure about our numbers..they have started a rolling case number thing, so not a straight number per day. It's confusing, at 10am it might seem high, but by night its low, etc. And the governor has stopped the daily things & now only does a briefing on Tues & Thurs & with the kids here, we have missed them. I'm not real crazy about pizza buffets, but the one I was talking about was Pizza Ranch. They have terrific broasted chicken..almost go to it more for that than the pizza. Altho I love it, probably won't go for awhile.

@trooworld Dh is taking the van for oil change on Wed, hope it goes as well as yours did. Masks are a toss up here. You see a lot with them, but also an awful lot without them. I really haven't been anywhere (went to Earl May one morning for plants & dh & I & one other customer were the only ones out of about 12-15 people including the employees that had them). Watching people go into places, it might be 1/2.

We have stopped at McD for lunch carry out for the kids after fishing about 3 times. Dh & dd wear them & all the employees I've seen, but most customers not.

Looks sunny but windy, so guess I'll go see what the plan is for today, lol.

@trooworld, Yes next week will be better! Just keep doing what you know works. That is what I’m trying to do as well. Sorry about your knee pain. I hate that my knees give me so much grief. I hope the new seat works. No part should be hurting and definitely not that part!! ;)

@RetiredAndLovingIt, I’m glad that all is going well with your grandkids. Ouch on spraining your ankle!! That is surprising that the buffet is already doing self-serve. I would expect to see most buffets turning into more of a cafeteria style. However, it wouldn’t bother me to go to a buffet. I would just get my food and use some hand sanitizer before I started eating. :)

@its_cleo, that is great that your weight is behaving. I hear you about not wanting to order socks and having to pay shipping fees. I finally convinced my DH last year to let us have Prime and it’s the best! I just ordered a new butter dish. :grin Thanks for that puzzle link! I have been thinking about looking at those buying FB sites for puzzles. I don’t mind used if they are in good condition and since I only want 2000 pieces or more new ones can really be expensive. :)

@theslightedgeforever, yeah I hear you about the gyms. I am not paranoid or a control freak so I guess I would just happily go to the gym and do my best not to touch my face, use lots of hand sanitizer, and wash my hands when I was done. OK, I am busted! I only got three blue dots this week. I am going to do better this week. I still need to work on my dinner portion control. I end up eating too much and then I’m over on points and I’m usually too full. That is my goal for this week. ;)

Hi everyone! I just got back from spending the last three hours at the church as 22 families drove up with their kids to get their Awana awards, bag of toys that they had ordered, and cookies. We all had so much fun and it was great to see so many of our families and the kids. Everyone is very excited for church to start back up at the end of the month. The weather is perfect today so I might get DH to take me somewhere. I’m always up for some shopping!!

@trooworld Good catch on your thinking about your fun night. What games did you play? What goes up must come down so you will work hard this week and maybe it's sodium or something and then next weigh in will be a lot more than you expect.

@retiredandlovingit Rolling numbers? A good way for non transparency I think. lol So I guess take your numbers with a grain of salt then, right? But then I also check the numbers two counties over because he works there. He tells me quit checking the numbers. Yes pizza ranch. that's the one. I spend more time at the dessert bar though. I figure I can get regular pizza anytime. Good thing I don't go there very often. I got out today but just rode in the car. We save alot of money this way with me not going out. What good choices did you make today?

@teresaw1020 That's a good plan you have for this week. I will be working on mine too. Glad you had fun with the other families. Just a thought I had, if you are going over your points but fasting 18 hours, are the thoughts in your head I have to eat all this now because I'm not going to be able to eat for another 18 hours.

Hi friends! My husband and I played virtual games last night with some friends that live in NYC over Zoom. It was really fun! Today, I'm meeting up with a friend here in the city. I'm not sure what we are going to do but we'll figure something out. It will be good to see her. I've only hung out with one person one time since the virus took hold and coincidentally, it was her!

@RetiredAndLovingIt I hope all goes well with taking the van in. That's too bad a lot of people aren't wearing masks. :(

@TeresaW1020 Thanks! I'm sorry about YOUR knee pain! Yeah, that part should NOT be hurting lol! I got the new seat but haven't opened it yet. Hopefully, today I'll put it on the bike and try it out. Oh that's great you got to see so many of the families! I hope you had a good day of shopping!!!

@theslightedgeforever We played some of the You Don't Know Jack games, including Guesspionage, Trivia Murder Party, Drawful and Quiplash. https://www.jackboxgames.com/games/ It was really fun, we played them over Zoom using our phones to input our answers. We had so much fun that hubby and I bought a party pack for us to play (Years ago, we had fun playing the original You Don't Know Jack games on the computer). I do hope next week will be better.

Hi all..tried an elastic wrap on my ankle today, maybe not quite as swollen. Guess I’ll see how it is doing tomorrow.

@theslightedgeforever Yeah, don’t trust the reasoning with opening most everything now. Our numbers have been 3-400 new cases every day since ..don’t know..forever! I have only been in the one store (Earl May) since March 12. I really don’t look for the separate counties, just overall. Have I made any good choices today? Not really, but my calories were less than they have been, lol.

@trooworld Sounds like the games were fun! Glad you enjoyed it.

@TeresaW1020 Glad you had fun with the families. Did you go anywhere fun shopping?

Took the gkids fishing again yesterday. Got quite a few tiny bullheads. Dh wasn’t too happy, he kept getting stuck getting them off the hook. Really windy today, so went to fly kites!

@trooworld Did you get a blue dot day? Thanks for the game info. i'll have to look them up. I want to organize something with a group of friends.

@retiredandlovingit Less calories is still a good thing. Give yourself credit. I used to fish like that with my dad. He would have to put on the bait and then if I caught something take the fish off the hook. Get stuck too. lol I did try to bait the hook but the worm wriggled in my fingers. yuck. I hope your ankle feels better.

I turned down a request for fastfood takeout today. That's an improvement over the day before. Now to just add some veggies into the meal. Plus I moved my body. Sundays are hard for me sometimes. Well that is a negative thought. In the past, Sundays used to be hard for me but I proved today that I can still follow my plan.

@theslightedgeforever, I think that there is something to be said about me eating over on my points because I won’t be eating for another 18 hours or so. I need to listen to my body more and just let the points be a guide to help me stay in a healthy range. This week I’m going to try to discern from head hunger and true hunger. I know that I will often break my fast earlier than I need to just because I’m feeling hungry and wanting to eat vs. really being hungry and needing to eat. And when I do, I eat more points then I should be eating. That is good that you turned down fast food. I turned down going out to Mexican yesterday so win-win for us both!! :grin

@trooworld, how was hanging out with your friend? Did you do something fun? I have friends who do games over Zoom and really like it. I would like it but I don’t think DH would. He is hard of hearing and finds Zoom very frustrating. :/

@RetiredAndLovingIt, I hope your ankle is healing well. We ended up not going shopping and just stayed home and worked on my jigsaw puzzle. :)

Hi everyone! Well, yesterday DH and I went to church for the first time since March. We did our first Livestream from the sanctuary and several of us on staff and a few other friends came to sit in the pews so our pastor would have someone to preach too. Other than his mic going in and out at different times and two different ambulance sirens blaring down the street it all went really well. It was great to be back in church instead of watching on my computer. We will go again next week and then on the 28th, our whole church family will be back together. Can’t wait!! :) I just back from taking my mom to the eye doctor. She has all kinds of issues and will need surgery in both eyes to correct scaring that has occurred from her diabetes. The woman is a hot mess! I’m off to workout and get something done today.

Hello friends! Yesterday ended up being a fun day, but not a very successful WW day. I'm not negative in weekly points, but I went over for the day. I spent the morning and lunchtime with my friend, we started at a coffeeshop drawing and talking and then went to lunch at a vegetarian Thai restaurant (which is where I went over on points). But it was worth it to have fun with my friend. I could have made a better choice at the restaurant, but I chose to have my favorite dish instead. Then, later, my husband and I enjoyed a nice drive along the coast.

    @RetiredAndLovingIt Yes, it was fun!

@theslightedgeforever Saturday, no. Sunday, yes. Today I will unless I randomly go off the rails. For the games, I think you have to have a Steam account (It's free), so look that up too. That's good you turned down fast food takeout. And you moved your body, WTG! I think preplanning meals in the tracker is a great goal.

Hi all..nice day today. Dd here managed to get a medium size blow up pool, so maybe doing that with all the kids today.

@trooworld Great that you had fun with your friend. I missed that in your last post! I like going for rides.

@TeresaW1020 Woohoo for church!! I think a few may have been attending our services..it sounds like it on the video broadcast. We start 2 open masses a week for now this week. (Tues & Thurs am) You have to sign up in advance so they can limit the number of people. Then Sat at 8am they are having a service out in the parking lot. Think we will still pass on most of the large groups & stick to the video broadcast. We have a seminary student helping this summer & his sermon the other day was very good. He also has such a calming voice! Our regular priest is from India. Very easy to understand..kinda sounds like Raj from Big Bang. Dd that works in telecommunications said he sounds like a lot of people she works with. :D Too bad about the shopping, but I really enjoy jigsaw puzzles, too. Gd & I put one together a week ago.

@theslightedgeforever Sundays can be a struggle for me also. I guess I always think of it as a rest day! Woohoo, our new case number this am was only about 160! Maybe it really is starting to come down. We drove near the Capitol building on Sat on our way fishing. Didn't think of it until later, but lucky we weren't close enough to be near the protestors!

My garden here is looking pretty good, but we need some rain. Dh went to the farm last week, & said some of the pumpkins are starting to sprout. Yay!

Well, not much more for now! Have a good day!

@teresaw1020 in Beck Diet Solution she mentions this....Hunger and cravings aren't emergencies. I can tolerate them. They are mild compared to (fill in the most pain you have ever felt) This is mine: TMJ pain, post surgery pain and labor. I will eat again at my scheduled time. This is one of my response cards I read about three times a week. Sorry about your mom. That was my mil when she first came to live with us about 5 years ago. But we seem to have everything under control now but I can see she is really slowing down and not eating much which worries me. But I can neither delay that day or hasten it as they say.

@trooworld I think those fun days is what weekly points were designed for. My opinion anyway. lol So next time you go you have the option of making a different choice. Now you know that what you ordered was high in points compared to your overall daily plan.

@retiredandlovingit How was your exercise today? Raj from big bang. That made me laugh. But I know what you mean. I have a better ear for accents than hubby. I always have to translate to him and I'm like they are speaking English, keep up. I imagine I would be hard to listen to if I tried to speak a different language. I like calming voices. Especially now in this time of stress. I always enjoy looking at the big gold dome when I'm in the area. Never seen the building up close. Just from the highway.

So more wisdom from my book......Chasing Cupcakes by Elizabeth Benton. This is such a good book to really make you think.

This is about all or nothing thinking:

All or nothing is another way of saying inconsistent.  All or nothing is a choice.  There are other options.

An alternative to all or nothing thinking is the middle.  Pursue the middle.

Instead of making it to the gym today or you do nothing, pursue the middle. What are all the options between the two.   15 min YouTube video, walk outside for 10 min.  Do some stretching

Instead of thinking you eat perfectly or you binge?  What options are in the middle? Choose a healthy food to eat if you are going to eat.  Most people don't overeat healthy foods.

Identify the middle options and choose them.  Your change will come from the change in thinking.

We don't usually have all or nothing thinking in areas like children or work:

Oh I'm late picking up the kids so what's the point, I'll just leave them there and try and be on time tomorrow.

I'm late on this project deadline so screw it! I'll just take the day off and try again tomorrow.

Hello friends! Today I am finally going to get my hair cut and colored. It doesn't look too bad right now, but since I am going back to work at the end of the month, I figured I'd get it done. Yesterday, my husband took the day off work. We walked around a popular part of town and stopped at a bagel shop and had a bagel with lox and cream cheese. For dinner, I made an overly complicated but delicious tofu dinner ( https://www.rabbitandwolves.com/nashville-hot-tofu-nuggets-vegan/ ). I'll never make it again, but we definitely enjoyed it.

@RetireAndLovingIt Yeah it was nice to be out. That's great your garden is doing good.

@theslightedgeforever True! Yes. That's true: we don't usually have all or nothing in the area of work (I can't speak for children). I wonder why we think it's okay to do it to ourselves?

@trooworld Oh good for you for being able to go back to work. I bet you feel so much better with your hair done. I was thinking about mine. Saying should I go get a box and do it myself. I can but then I'll cover up all my highlights although at this point no highlights is better than gray roots. Why we will have all or nothing thinking when it comes to us is that maybe we think we don't matter as much or the consequences of our actions are so far down the road that we keep pushing it off versus not do something at work and they may fire us. That's more immediate. I don't know.

@renaegry Is your overall weight trend going down or just stuck at the same place? I'm glad you have the ability to get back to it immediately after the weekend.

@theslightedgeforever, another good thought from that book of yours! I have often had the all or nothing attitude when it comes to food. I really doesn’t make sense when we attach it to other areas of our lives, but with food we seem to have no problem with that kind of thinking. I also understand accents much better than my DH. We have been watching Justified and he can’t understand a word that Ava says. :D

@Trooworld, your day with your friend and DH sounds wonderful. I think getting your favorite dish at the Thai restaurant when you haven’t eaten out in forever is totally justified.

@RetiredAndLovingIt, my pastor has a very calming voice also and it’s one of the things we really like about him. That must be exciting to see all the pumpkins starting to grow. I hope you get rain so your garden will flourish. :)

Good morning! Yesterday was such a busy day I forgot to come and post. Mom had to see her eye specialist and then she finally able to go get her hair done. She has been wanting to get a perm and cut since March. Now she can come to church on June 28th. I also went grocery shopping and workout out. I fasted for a little over 19 hours and stayed within my points. So yes, to the blue dot! I don’t have anywhere to go today, so I plan to finally finish the 5000 piece puzzle and do some housework. I’m also super excited because a new fasting book by Gin Stephens “Fast, Feast, Repeat” will be arriving today. I can’t wait to read it!

@renaegry Just get back on the horse so to speak.

@theslightedgeforever I do. I would have tried a box but I've seen what happens when I do that (pink roots lol). What you are saying makes sense (about all or nothing thinking).

@TeresaW1020 Thank you, it was wonderful! So, do you have any favorite WW point-friendly bars that I can take to LA? I'm going to ask on Connect, too, but I trust your opinion much more!!! LOL That's great your mom got her hair done (I did, too!). And you are finishing that puzzle, wow! Enjoy your new book!

@theslightedgeforever weight has been bouncing between 153-155. At this rate I am never going to hit 150 by the end of the month. My arms are definitely getting toned so that makes me happy. I have highlights and buy the root touch up kit to just do the roots. Lasts 2-3 weeks.

@TeresaW1020 would love to sit and work on a puzzle. Never did start a new one. Addicted to Color by number on my phone called happy colour and been reading lots.

Today forecasting rain. At the grocery store this morning. Have work to do in the afternoon. Might just get on the treadmill for a brisk walk later today and do an ab workout.

Afternoon guys. I will not even try to comment on all the post I have missed. I have not even tried to work on my health. Mostly my mental health. I have a lot of things in my life that I think have played havoc on me and I didn't know it. I hope to keep coming back to visit my friends on here. I am just going to start here and take this day today. My health is really important to me and I thought I was indispensable, but I am learning I am not.

@teresaw1020 Hooray for the blue dot and exercise. repeat tomorrow. I'm just trying to take it one day. Just focus on today. Ha on Ava I miss Justified. I would have liked about 20 seasons. I used to be an example of "Eat, Feast, Repeat" :D I'm learning new habits.

@trooworld Pink roots might be fun. How did you do on your goals today?

@renaegry Well toned arms is a great thing. Especially hot weather is here. I think that and shoulders is one of my favorite parts. Thanks for the touch up root kit idea. How bad do you want the 150?

@cbabie as FLYlady says, Jump in where you are. I will repeat some words of wisdom for you so you don't have to go back and read.....

So more wisdom from my book......Chasing Cupcakes by Elizabeth Benton. This is such a good book to really make you think.

This is about all or nothing thinking:

So with that thinking, look at your life and see the two extremes. Where you are now and what a perfect life would look like and then aim for the middle. The good thing about the middle is that it's not fixed. It's always adjustable.

My phone broke so I have to go buy a new phone tomorrow. Ugh! I feel lost without my phone. I ate and went to track my food and realized I had to go find my laptop.

Hi friends! I am going to go grocery shopping this morning and included in that are some snacks for a trip I have to make to LA tomorrow. I don't want to eat fast food, so I figure I'll bring my own snacks. I'm bringing hardboiled eggs, edamame, grapes, Babybel light cheeses, and some kind of bars. It will take me anywhere from 2 1/2 - 4 hours to drive there (depending on traffic) and then the same to drive back.

    @cbabie I'm glad you are back, I missed you. ((( HUGS )))

@theslightedgeforever Meh, I like pink hair but it looks funny when I pink roots (I've done it trying to be cheap). I tracked 3/4 of my meals (I am going to go back and track dinner right now), I have done 2 out of 3 days of exercise already this week, and I got 7 hours 56 mins of sleep. I did not do well with water. How was your day?
