Not even sure what’s considered healthy or ideal. Also do you have an ideal size you’d like to be?

5'7 goal weight is 135-140 which is around the mid range point for my BMI.4

My goal is 160 then I'll adjust from there. I used to be a size 6 so that's also kind of my goal.4

I'm 5'7". Right now it's 130-135lbs. It has been different in the past based on my body composition. In the future I would love to be 140lbs lean.3

I am 5'6 I have been told 130-140 is ideal. I feel that is to small for me. So I am going for 150-160 and go from there. I was pretty happy with 175 a while back ago. So guess its on what you prefer to look like in the end. Go with what makes you happy not what they say you are supposed to weigh we are all built differently.

What's right for an individual is going to vary based on muscularity, skeletal configuration (like width of pelvic bones, shoulders), breast size for women, cultural appearance preferences, individual appearance preferences, and more. (That's one reason the BMI range is so wide, for any given height.)
I'm built fairly narrowly, always joke that I'm built more like a 14-year-old boy than a 64-year-old woman , and am post-bilateral-mastectomy (no reconstruction), so something toward the lower end of the BMI range is better for me personally, even though I'm not completely devoid of muscle.
Right now, at 5'5", I'm about 129 pounds (BMI 21-point-something), and (in year 4+ of maintenance) currently working at ultra-slowly losing a few pounds. Somewhere 120-125 would be good, but I'm not geeked about details, and wouldn't be miserable to stay here. (I hit 116 a few years back when I first lost weight, overshooting my goal. That was a little too thin. Over the past few years, I let myself drift up into the 130s, but have been drifting back down again on purpose since about October 2019 - this is after being obese most of my adult life, until 2015).
I hope you realize that you don't need to know your ultimate goal weight up front? MFP asks for it in your profile, but that's so it can show you progress messages and such. It has no effect on the calorie goal MFP will estimate for you. The weight loss process and calorie goal are the same no matter what goal weight you choose, the only difference is when you'd stop trying to lose. It's fine to make a guess now at goal weight, and adjust it as you get closer, when it'll be easy to tell what your actual goal should be. (I think I changed my mind 3 times or so, on the way down!).
Best wishes!

I'm about 5'6.5 and the lowest I ever got to was 135 but... I was 15 at the time soo who knows🤷♀️ if i'll get there but will try for it.1

I'm 150 pounds aiming for around 132 pounds. But I don't mind being more if I up my muscle mass and decrease fat. What's healthy or ideal is different for everyone even though we are same height. The guide on here i find pretty useful though.2

I am 5'6 and my goal is 140-1502

I'm between 5'6" and 5'7". It seems to depend on the day. Many years ago, I told my doctor I'd like to get back to about 135 (my weight in HS when I thought I was really fat). He told me that with the changes my body's gone through over the years, I should probably be happy with around 150. I reached that once. about 30 years ago. And I was happy there. I looked good. I felt good. So this time, I'm aiming for 160 and will adjust once I reach that and see how things are going.6

I'm just under 5'6" Years ago I was in my mid 20's and having my first go really at losing some weight with WW.
I had to go to the GPs anyway and asked the Practice nurse what she thought a sensible goal would be, as I had no idea. She suggested 11 stone, so 154 lbs.
It seems a good place to start.

5'5". Goal range 128-132, so 130 give or take a couple. Was there before so know I can get there again...0

I'm 5'6" and my goal is to get to 145. I'm pretty happy at that weight. I once got down to 138 and was starting to look a little gaunt so I don't aim to go down that low.4

How tall are you if your goal is 88 lbs?
On another post you shared you are around 5'5 why is your goal to be severely underweight? If that wasn't typed in error you need to reach back out to your doctor regarding your poor dieting habits. Being that you've mentioned being in and out of the hospital already due to poor disordered eating habits.6 -
I am 5ft 7 and currently weigh 170lbs. At this point I would be happy to get to 154lbs and take it from there. At the minute I find it hard to visualise myself at something like 140lbs but I know I have been that before, albeit a long time ago. Good luck with all your goals x4

At 61 yrs old, I'm shooting for 140ish. I'm happy at 145, but want to give myself some room to fluctuate just a little.2

I am 5'6" and I weight 275 now. I would love to be 100 pounds lighter. I think with my body type I would be really happy at 175. That is just me personally. I feel like that would be healthy - Definitely healthier than I am now,...
If I can lose more then that's even better !
Add me, lets support each other please - I need some friends12 -
HI I AM 60 YRS OLD 5'6 WEIGHING IN THIS MORNING AT 197.2. MY GOAL WEIGHT IS 175, ALTHOUGH I WILL BE OKAY WITH 180. TODAY I START THE JOURNEY TO REACHING IT. WHAT I WON'T DO IS BEAT MYSELF UP IF I HAPPEN TO HAVE SOME DIFFICULT DAYS DURING THE JOURNEY, I AGAIN CAN BE VERY CRITICAL OF MYSELF. HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY. THANKS FOR BEING HERE.6

I'm 5'5.25, and my goal is 117-1200

I'm 5.5.5 and right now I sit just at 205. I started at 231 and just those 26 pounds has made such a difference in my overall shape. (See my profile pic!)
I have a long torso and arms, and a bigger behind so my structure makes me looks more solid. My goal weight is 170. BMI says I should be around 135-150 but I like the way my body looks around 170. It's honestly up to you. There is no "ideal" one size fits all because we are built differently.
When it comes to size, I started in a 22, 2XL plus size and now I am in a 15-16, XL women's (even squeezed into a 14!!!), and my goal is a 12. I figure another 30 pounds down and that isn't unrealistic!4 -
My goal is 117.0
-
I'm 5'6 and 171 I used to be 115, 125, 130, 145 lol now I am huge. 10 years ago I was 227. My goal is 117.0
-
130 lbs. I'm 5 ft 5.5 in. I'm at 152 now. (clothing size US 10 and 12) I hold my weight in the belly area and thighs. My first time and only time to set off losing weight was four years ago. I was 174 and got down to 121. (clothing size US 4 and 6) I still had belly fat but everything else looked unhealthy. I started weight training and felt very comfortable at 130.2

I’m 5’6. Currently 156 and feel good at this weight. I’m considered large frame so I look smaller than my actual weight.0

I am 5’6” and am 132 right now. I am aiming for 126 and would like to fit comfortably in size 4 or 6. I started the year at 164 for reference!1

5'6" here.
My goal is a pants size of an 8, which puts me around 160lbs. At 145, I'm in a size 4.0 -
I’m 5’5.5. Almost 60 years old not narrow, and carry a good deal of weight in my chest (DDD). I’m at 135 now and pretty happy with it. I’ve lost 75 pounds. It came from everywhere but my chest which is a bit annoying. I was hoping get a bit smaller there because it makes certain exercise uncomfortable even with a top notch sports bra. .1

5'6". My first goal is to get to 150. Once I reach that goal, then I can reassess! I don't eat at a huge calorie deficit, so my weight loss is slow. 150 is a ways away for me, and would be a different pant size, so I'm just looking forward to celebrating that. The lowest I've weighed as an adult was 130, and that was with a significant amount of muscle on me. That would maybe be the "ideal" for me, but given changed life circumstances, I doubt I'll ever be that physically active again (I was working out 6-7 days a week as my boyfriend owned a gym, and I felt the need to "keep up". I definitely burned out on that, and then so did the relationship ). However, I'm hoping to find a more sustainable way of building muscle and staying fit, and to gradually decrease my body fat percentage over time, so we will see!1
