How's it going Pedro? Your goal is to get to 200lbs.. that is one of my major goals. I was there when I retired from the Air Force... but then took a job where I sit behind a desk.... fast forward 16 years (wow, I'm getting old) I just got under 230 last week... and steaming towards getting under 220.4 -
I went from obese II to obese I a few pounds ago and didn't notice/realize. My mini goal needs to be, finding a way to set and celebrate mini goals that work for me. I really don't have any; I've tried making up a couple but I forget I set them. Maybe I'm not goal-oriented? Will have to think on this one . . .10

Mini Goal: learn to keep track of my rolling average weight instead of whatever bloated situation I happen to be on a given morning. On a more concrete level, my rolling average is now 99,5kg and there’s two weeks before Christmas, so I’d like to see the rolling average start with a 98 and preferably on the lower half, so below 98,5kg.
Didn’t happen, but the main thing is I still lost weight. My rolling average went from 99.5 to 99.2, so just over half a pound lost over the holidays and the weeks leading up. Getting my rolling average below 98.5kg is still my next goal, I even set it up as a milestone on my Happy Scacle app.
DONE! Rolling average today is 98.4kg.
Next mini goals:
- the next Happy Scale milestone at 97.4kg
- increasing my running speed to 8.0kph and stamina to where I can comfortably run on the treadmill for 20 minutes
- Find a new frozen berry product or combination to use in afternoon snacks after my old favourite was discontinued
It took almost 6 months of dealing with work burnout, covid lockdown, working from home and gym closing, but...
I hit that Happy Scale milestone of 97,4kg (more specifically 97,37) today!
I did also find the new frozen berry product, so good on that too. Running stopped pretty much immediately after writing that last post (I got severe food poisoning and didn't get back into my workout habits), but I started running a little again just this week.
I haven't been to this side of the forums in a while, yet today I felt like checking this out and found my old mini goals. Weirdest coincidence in a while.11 -
I have two electronic scales in this house, and they weigh 0.6-0.8 kg difference which is a bit disconcerting. On the heavier weighing scale I am 84.0 kg as of this morning, which is very pleasing. My next mini goal is 83.5 kg, and then 83.0 kg and then 82.5 kg which will bring me below 13 stone (in UK parlance).7

My son just turned 1 yesterday, he will soon be running around everywhere and I want to be able to catch up to him. My plan is to get back to a keto woe like I was before I was pregnant with my son.10

Mini goal 1 : get under 70kg (I was 70.4kg this morning so hopefully this one is in the next week or two)
Mini goal 2 : fit COMFORTABLY into my jeans. It is theoretically possible to get them on and buttoned right now but not if I want to be able to breathe or move.
Mini goal(s) 3: each 2kg down from 70kg until 62kg (I’ll be chubby at 62kg but theoretically l’ll be out of overweight.
1st mini goal achieved. I've been solidly under 70kg for 5 days now (I am never confident until it's been a few days - there's a lot of fluctuations)
2nd goal is pretty close. They are certainly loser than they were but I'm not quite calling it yet.15 -
#1 lose 5 pounds this by the end of July
#2 4 workouts per week this July (I currently do 2-3 per week)10 -
To get back to at least my pre-COVID weight by October (gained 10lbs) and stop snacking again.11
-
My mini goal is to get into the 11st bracket for the first time since 2012 and drop my BMI below 30, 5.5lbs to go11
-
Mini goal ...putting a stop to the slow gain & to lose the 5lbs I've gained since January in the next 2 weeks10
-
I don't know if this is such a petty reason, but my friend recently gave me a belly chain as a present, and I would like to wear it with pride instead of belly rolls.10

I'm surprised (but pleasantly so) that I am able to announce today that my 7-day average JUST snuck under my goal.
Next goal: Under 190.0 on the 28-day average. That number is 193.6 today.
It may have taken nearly two months, but I'm pleased to announce that my 28-day average has now dropped below 190.0 lbs (189.4 today).
Next up: Under 185.0 on the 28-day average. Then under 184.0, as that's my BMI cutoff to the top of being class I obese (one class closer to normal).9 -
Leaving the 220's forever. 1.9lbs to go12

mini goal today if to make it through todays fast day. My self already saying your hungry. I keep telling self.. no you're not it's all in your head.. Then my head says yeah i got a headache from no food. so now im filling up on water and a diet coke.. sorry it a has to for my head. Im trying to get off of them but it is soooo hard. Happy 4th weekend coming up to you all. Hope we all get around eating too much of the good stuff.7

It's scale-goal, but for the past 3 days I've been below 220 lbs for the first time in about 5 years (I keep records), so my immediate goal is just not to slip up and bounce back up above 220 lbs. Ordinarily 4th of July family feasting would challenge that but I live alone and with the pandemic going on I'm planning to virtually 'meet' my parents for BBQ via facetime or zoom and that will give me control of what's on my menu--using a laptop on their table and on mine so it's like a window between us during dinner.10

your headache is more likely due to caffeine withdrawal. Consider adding tea or coffee to your allowed liquids on fast day to avoid this problem.5 -

Agreed. And I'll add, there's nothing wrong with Diet Coke. Drink it if you like it, @lorrieannoberry!
Artificial sweeteners are vilified, but unless they have a negative affect on you personally, there's nothing wrong with them in moderation.4 -

My weight loss has been so slow (like 1.5lbs per month) that my mini goals are tiny too. Next up, I want my weight to start with 96 instead of 97kg. I’m less than a pound away from that. Every number away from 100 is a big win.
The upside of operating in kg personally but in pounds on MFP forums is that I can set milestones and goals in both units, so next up are:
Under 97kg
Under 212,5lbs (so it rounds up to 210 instead of 215)
Under 96,21kg (my next Happy Scale milestone)
Under 96kg
Under 210lbs
Under 95kg (this is the first really big milestone where my weight would round up to 90 instead of 100)
I’m absolutely going to celebrate these and feel like the success kid meme everytime I reach one of these.
Most of all, I really want to hit all these goals by the end of August. I want my weekly loss rate to be closer to 1lb than zero.

My mini-goal is to log-in every day for a month. I am on day 17.14

Right, I'm going to commit to this after all. I would like to be not obese for my birthday. I think it's doable (only just). What better present can I give myself than my health?17
-
My mini goal right now is getting out of the 240s, and to complete a 5 mile hike next weekend! I'm getting there!11
-
I have a spreadsheet where I have listed a whole heap of milestones and mini-goals, and I track in both lbs and kgs so that I get more chances to pat myself on the back!
Right now I'm at 170.1 and excited to see the 160s appear on the scale. At 168lb my BMI will be 24.9, that's the big thing I am working towards. My reward will be a few hours doing a closet cleanout (yes I consider this fun!) and trying on session with some of my smaller clothes.
Mini goals are the bomb. Today I weighed in at 167.6, BMI of 24.9. I am so happy and motivated to keep going. And I have the holiday weekend to do my closet cleanout! I know that sounds sad but I'm trying to make the most of a stay at home July 4th.
My next goal is to have lost 10% of my body weight, which will come at 166.1.13 -
My mini goal is to #MOVEdaily...to engage in physical activity that I enjoy daily (7000 steps or more).7
-
What is motivating me is success. Recently, I have had co-workers mention that I look thinner. Still have a long way to go but I am so tickled when someone says I look good. I am thinking that maybe those people are actually seeing how baggy my clothes are these days, too.11

Sister Sue, That is right where I am too! I have been bouncing at the 170.4-173.2 Just want to see that 6 number in place of that 7.5 -

I recently went from obese to overweight and psychologically made we feel so much more in control. Goal is normal range and it has been so tough just hanging at the same weight! URG! So good that you made the commitment that is a huge step.7 -
I'm three and a half pounds away from being in the "overweight" category, as opposed to "obese". My mini goal is to get into "overweight" category by the end of the month, and to walk 100 miles this month. (Intentional walks, not just daily steps around the house!)14

Getting my wedding and engagement rings & my Nan's ring back on.. I've gained 2stone since wedding in 2018.. ;(5
