76km of hills today. Racing (or at least time trialling) starts again for me on Thursday with the "hilly 14" so I rode out there, rode the course then did some bonus hills on the way home. I was faster today than I've ever done it in a race in previous years thanks to weight loss/better training this year.5

I was going to try to ride every day, but there is just too much going on this month - especially over the next week (back to the office, kiddo prepping for a Eagle Scout Project this weekend, heading to the barn to work with horses, homework). I'll just shoot for riding as much as possible. I'm training for a century in my own way.

With the almost Florida-like heat and humidity, storms blowing through, and my shoulder still hurting, I have not been riding. I live on the 2nd floor now, so getting my bike up & down the stairs sometimes just isn't a doable thing. Today, since there is a small break in the weather, I decided to got for a ride, had no plan, just made it up as I went.

7/16 - 11.1 miles (22.9 done, 27.1 to go)

I did my first time trial of the season tonight. Absolutely flying after all the training/weight loss since I last raced last year. 14 hilly miles in just under 45 minutes.
