Ultimate Accountability Challenge, August 2020
The Ultimate Accountability Challenge (UAC) provides both weight losers and maintainers with incredible accountability partners AND and emphasis on life-changing healthy basic habits.
This is not the flash-in-the-pan 'biggest anything" short-term challenge. This is the real deal!! We are a non-commercial volunteer group with a proven track record of significant team member success.
We enthusiastically welcome our returning veterans and newcomers too!
The accountability is a daily report of:
1)More than 20 minutes of daily exercise;
2) Tracking the caloric intake of both food and beverage;
3) Consuming no more than your chosen limit of daily calories
4)Daily or every third day reporting of your fulfillment of the above.
A non-fulfillment of any of the above equals a Pass Day. There are 3 Pass Days allowed per month
Those who end the month with less than 4 Pass days are celebrated in the monthly Winner's Circle Qualification.
We are a small volunteer group. We are motivated to serve others while we strive to be faithful to our own weight loss and/or maintenance goals.

I will be returning in August for my sixth straight month. I made the circle for March => June but not for July.
Persistence is the key, not Perfection. The pass days allow for Life Happens (be it planned Special Days, or unplanned overage or lazy-days)
The Winner's Circle is a tangible target to aim for, but even if you should use 4 (or 10, or more) pass days - so long as you keep reporting in, you will be discovering what does and doesn't work as sustainable choices for you.
One of the best things about this challenge is that you are never "Eliminated'. Progress tends to happen even when you don't manage to make the Circle. If you don't, just consider yourself "in training" .... getting well practiced for the next moth's try for the Winner's Circle. On the 1st of each month, we all get "rebooted" to start fresh with 3 Pass Days available.

I'm back for August. This will be my 11th straight month with the UAC. I reached my goal weight in November 2019 and have been maintaining since then. The UAC helps me to keep the weight off. Great challenge with very supportive people.1

This challenge and the people in the challenge are the kind of people that would always give you a hand up if you fall down... kind and caring. All have the same goal to maintain healthy habits. This in turn equals a happier life.
The rules are simple and with willpower and tenacity can turn into life changing results. The accountability helps us keep ourselves in check. Which has been key for me.3 -
Back for my third month. If you want to develop and maintain healthy habits, this is the place for you. If you want to be surrounded by kind people who "hug" you when you are down, this is the place to be.3

July was my first month joining this group. I loved it! The members are kind and supportive, there are interesting daily quips, there is a forum within the group if you wish to chat a bit, and lastly it adds another layer of accountability to help you meet your goals. I'm back for August and looking forward to it!5

This challenge has become a way of life for me, it works! 3 rules, no weigh in, lovely group of people, just be honest with yourself and you will be fitter, healthier and happier as can be! Come and join us, can you make it to the much coveted winners circle?5

I've signed up for August - I signed up in June as a kind of "sure whatever" thing not expecting it to make much of a difference as I was already pretty good at keeping on track. It really did make a difference. The accountability has definitely given me the motivation to do a quick bit of exercise or avoid that biscuit.5

August will be my 6th month. This challenge is awesome, it is helping you the build healthy habits.5

August marks my 27th month with UAC.
It’s my life-preserver. Today, I faced one of the biggest food challenges in my 22 month maintenance of a 70+ weight loss.
What got me ready to face tomorrow? UAC
July 27 was Pass Day 3 for me. Wanting to be in the Winner’s Circle spurred me on to come up with a specific plan to nip this nonsense in the bud! Mindset re-established, I’m ready to make healthier food choices and reverse the weekly average calorie creep.
Please give it a try! UAC really is magical. Give yourself a few months to get the hang of it — totally worth your time.

Love this group! Coming back for my third month and looking forward to it. I’m on holiday for a couple of weeks in August but I know that I’ll be welcome back! Always supportive, often inspiring, it keep me coming back and hanging on to good habits.5

There are various reasons why this group works so well. Some of these are that it has very simple rules to follow (of course, simple and easy are not always the same thing). You get to choose your own way to meet the rules, meaning you choose what your calorie budget is and what exercise you are going to do etc. it is all about supporting each other to achieve the goals not judging if you slip up. Plus, if you do slip up you are still welcome actually you are encouraged to continue! This is how we build the habits we need for a healthy lifestyle.4

5) get 7-9 hrs of sleep each night
If I am succesfull at this, all the hard work I put into cardio and lifting will surely pay off and show more. I am also confident, that 5) will make the workouts even more enjoyable.

I’m in! Unfortunately, hurt my back helping someone move; so couldn’t walk much & dropped the group for awhile. Just started walking last Saturday it’s amazing mentally & physically how good it feels; despite the pain. Hopefully can get back to running soon.2

....my favorite group quote is “the kitchen is closed”. It now closes every night at 7:00. There’s no reason to go in there for anything but water.2
