As of today, I've walked 100.5 miles in July. 23 recorded walks. Never thought I would be this consistent in hitting the trails during probably the hottest month of the year here in Northern Virginia, but I was happy that I was able to hit that milestone. The speed has been gradually increasing as well which I'm excited about!16

I was back in the pool for the first time in 7 months and did 50 minutes of laps! I was so surprised I was able to do that after being away for so long. I’m so happy with my swim and I feel great!16

This is a bit of a scale related NSV, but here goes: I have been a bit frustrated because I can't seem to get below 82 kg (181 lbs). But I then looked at my average weight over May, June and July and saw 87.15 kg, 85.31 kg, 83.14 kg. That made me feel way better!
Same. I didn't have a weight scale at home but I knew my weight. Over the months, I worked hard. I thought it should've dropped to at least 65 kgs but I was 67 when I checked on my new weight scale. It had me down but then I thought back that I had lost almost 6 kgs. Instead of feeling down, I'm back on track 😄10 -
I'm in a new number.. 169.8. I will take it. I don't know what it is about seeing that new number but it charges me up to keep living my best life. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and lots of losses or muscle building, or keeping it off.12

The bra I sized down into (because the old size was giving me a backache from lack of support) had been cutting into me by the end of the day, and I was always glad to get it off. It wasn't in need of an extender, it was just tight.
It didn't cut me yesterday, just stayed in place and did its job. That's a sign I like!
(Of course now I'm thinking of ordering a band size down because I know that suddenly I'll get aches in my upper back and need it. I'm not a small-busted woman; I started from an F cup. )

A while back I covered up our full length mirror with a pretty scarf. It moves aside easily for use but then also easily covers back up so that I can’t absentmindedly check for progress 1,000x per day.
I wouldn’t have said I was obsessive, I don’t check myself out in windows and such when walking by places...but this mirror at home!? What the what.
NSV’s:
1. How lovely that one simple change was. Freed up some mental rumination.
2. I’ve been noticing my shorts fitting differently, looser.
3. Decided to use the mirror for more than just a daily “do I have coordinating clothes on” sort of thing. THE MOTHER’S APRON IS GONE. GONE I TELL YOU!!! I truly am PROUD of what my body has done with having 3 babies. I am also HELLA excited that this is shrinking! Most of the lower part was excess loose skin from giant babies in a short torso (ahem. It hangs over your underwear line....which is why it’s called an “apron” ) I had no idea if it actually would shrink.
4. Noticing this difference was huge and the joy of it was made even better by default since it had been so long since I covered up that mirror. The visible comparison was drastic and the shock factor was high. I’ve been riding this wave of excitement for like a week before I finally decided to share it here26 -

I was able to swim a full 30 minutes. Last time I wasn't even in the water that long, let alone doing laps. I'm pretty sure tonight and tomorrow I won't be able to do anything from fatigue but I did it and I'm super happy I got so far. Hoping next week I'll be able to swim more/longer14

I race time trials on my bike. We have a regular weekly club race and over the last 5 years I've raced it 35 times. This week was my first race of the year due to covid, and I got an all time PB by 90 seconds which is huge, mainly due to weight loss and consistent training.14

I ran out of trail. My rides have gotten progressively longer as I looked forward to seeing what was beyond the next bend. Last week I found the trailhead for the other side. With a bit of a loopback at the start and a jaunt around a nearby lake, the total distance is now over 50 miles. Now I'm wondering what detours along the route will show me...13

Baked and iced cupcakes for my husband's birthday and didn't eat one!
I've been really trying to get my sweet tooth under control lately, it's working 😁15 -
I went for what I figured would be a short, kind of slow run. NSV #1 is that I consider running over three miles as "short."
As I started, it seemed easier than the last two runs, but also my cadence was up. As I came to the first one-mile split, I realized I had run a mile faster than I ever had before. That's NSV#2.
I was able to keep up the pace and when I got to 5K, I realized NSV #3 and #4. I had just run 5K faster than I ever had, and I met a goal I had to run 5K in less than 30 minutes. Holy feline!
I got home and synced my watch. I found out that I had beat my previous 5K time by 2:16. That's just nuts. I also discovered NSV #5 and #6. That first mile split? It wasn't my fastest mile on the run according to my device. It told me I had run a sub-nine-minute mile. That was another goal. I was about 19 seconds faster than my previous fastest mile at 8:50. Number six was I also beat my fastest 1K, but by less than two seconds.
When I hit the 5K mark on the run, I realized I had broken some personal records, and I had tears of joy boil up in my eyes, and something that I wasn't sure was laughter or crying coming out of my pie hole. I think it was both.25 -
I've just realised that for a good while now, I've been able to look at pictures of delicious food and watch programmes about delicious food, and look up recipes etc, without feeling compelled to binge on delicious food there and then. I still enjoy everything about food, but there's a sort of - I guess, detachment, too?
I think you could eat something wonderful in front of me and I wouldn't stab you with your own fork to steal the plate of wonder. That's new.
Maybe it's self-control?
I appreciate food, but I'm not sure I'm controlled by food anymore.24 -
It's been 1 month only and I noticed a slight change in my before and after photo. It's so important for me to take monthly photos and body measurements. Despite the expectation of weight fluctuations, which can really mess with my head, I lost 1/2 inch from my hips. 😊16

I can now pick up my cat without grunting. (He's a chonk.)25

My shadow had a waist!
I wore a sundress with a cinched waist to an outdoor party yesterday. Wearing dresses like that used to make me look pregnant because the dress would cinch above my big belly. But yesterday, as the sun was setting, I noticed my shadow and it clearly went in at the waist and then flared out a little at the skirt. 🤗34 -
Pulled on my cargo trousers that are quite tight and almost impossible for me to sit in for any length of time without undoing the waist button.....It dawned on me this morning that even after my evening meal last night, I didn't need to undo my waist button....
They are a tad tight when sat down but not uncomfortable!23 -
I lost my weight 2 years ago so no one mentions it now but this morning I had on a dress from lady next door, it was too big for her, she wore a size 4, so it was a size 12 and fit good. Someone said you have lost weight, felt good! I had actually gained 5 lbs and had just lost it, got down to 162, so on to my goal of the 150's! 159 would be fine with me, better than 208.21
