Success/Struggles: My weight is still a little below where I want it. This week wasn't as stressful as last week. My dad is doing well and in the rehab facility for his broken hip. It really has just been so hot it is almost unbearable. I have been getting my runs done. I started getting up and running before the sun comes up a couple of years ago. I have started trying to add some extra calories at lunchtime. Usually I save some calories for a snack after dinner, but it has been so hot I just haven't felt like eating much in the evenings.5 -

Success: Hit a new low on the scale this morning of 168.7 which officially puts me at a BMI of 25 - and not officially "overweight". I also did a little clothes shopping and was surprised to be able to fit into size 10.
Struggles: Despite the new low this morning, the rest of the week was all at 172/173 due to water retention. I made some homemade caramel corn that was irresistibly delicious and the extra sugar/carbs made for a some temporary weight gain. But it's finally out of the house (not due to me giving or throwing it away but due to me eating it all!) so the water weight whooshed out.2 -

Challenges / Successes
Have stayed on top of eating well and this week is the lowest weigh in of the month. I tried on some clothes that date back to my slimmest/fittest/strongest period of life (about 10 yrs ago) - and they all fit! A couple of the items aren't flattering as I have a bit more of a tummy and am not toned - but it's quite amazing that while having essentially the same weight as I did at the beginning of the year, my size is smaller (and I haven't been hitting the gym or working out).
I've been struggling to reestablish good exercise and sleep habits, but am feeling more motivated over the last couple days. The seasonal change here in the southern hemisphere from Winter to Spring will help. Spring is by far my favourite month for being motivated and starting new things, while I fall into a bit of a slump in the Winter months.

Successes/Struggles:
My goal was to lose weight this month & get my svg monthly weight down to April’s.
Avg Monthly wt is now lower than April’s!
Lowered daily saturated fat.
Monitored protein.
Kept caring & making good decisions. More mindfulness. Didn’t let my brain convince me I’m fat (I’m not!) so as to get me to eat more. Silly brain.
Not getting my long walks in due to Smokey air, but I AM doing much needed yoga, planks, arms/back. A few more days then should clear. 🤞🏻

Successes/struggles: Finally had a quiet week, got the “calories in” side of the equation under control. But we had a lot of rain and strong winds so couldn’t do the bike rides and walks that I usually do. But no real struggles.

Today is my official weigh-in day. I had to put my cat on a special diet and now she claims to be hungry a lot therefore, I started to weigh her on my weigh-in day also to make sure that I'm not under feeding her. I think she just likes the new food. She is the husky one. Her "sister" is 4 lbs. lighter and the same breed. Just like people, one likes to eat and has a weight problem and the other one is a very picky eater. That's my struggle this week, dealing with my kitties eating. 😊

Success/Struggles: So… managed to get through not one but two birthdays at the end of August with minimal impact. Still within my range so not feeling too bad. Still up a few pounds overall but nothing a few days of going back into a deficit won’t fix. My exercise motivation has been pretty low lately but I’m still powering through 5-6 days a week for the most part. It’s kinda weird but I’ve settled into this pattern of eating at a deficit during the week then splurging somewhat on the weekends. It’s not as hard as I thought to bounce back and forth so far, hoping that doesn’t change and I’m opening the door to issues later but for now I can enjoy my weekends immensely and still maintain my weight so I’ll take it!
