🏃 09/04:170.0 This was excpected because I ate fried chicken. I never lose weight if I eat that, so not gaining is actually a triumph despite eating poorly. I will eat better today.
🏃 09/05:169.4 Great day.
🏃 09/06:169.0 I'm still tracking and losing despite only tracking and not exercising. The lack of exercise is why my loss is slower.
🏃 09/07:169.8 Even though I stayed within my calorie limit at first, I stayed up too late. At around 2 AM, my husband got some Taco Bell, and I had one little taco. That was all it took to take away progress.
🏃 09/08::170.2 These numbers are going the wrong way, lol. I am not eating more than my limit. I do not want to reduce my calorie intake, so I better pick my Switch fitness games back up now. Maybe I should get the Boxing game to give myself some variety. It is harder to post here when I am not doing well, but I do not want to regain the 10 pounds I've lost, so I know it is important to be here.

@_JeffreyD_ What do you hear re: the Morton Pumpkin Festival for 2020? My cousin (Chuck H) was one of the inventors of "pumpkin "chucking". @Carol7878 I grew up on our farm between Heyworth and McLean--no better life. Looks like us 3 are nearly mid-state neighbors! @quiltingjaine are you still in IL? Love the square in Washington! @SheilaBoneham Your table is beautiful. Refinishing is such hard work but so rewarding. You will enjoy your masterpiece for years to come! It looks like @Mondoweft has a similar project--I can't wait to see it. 9/8 166.1 Walked 3.25 miles Holiday went well, bbq'd with roommate and her kids. Didn't overeat and I got in a good walk. I'm still not logging in on the weekend to update this. I took Friday off for a long holiday weekend. Ended up hiking 5 miles on Friday and 4 miles on Saturday. I'm surprised I'm not down a little bit more, sodium as always is my bugaboo. My boyfriend has moved closer to me in addition to changing jobs. All the things that made it harder to see him are gone. We're spending tons of time together and it's great. However, he likes that I've lost weight (mostly he likes what 500 miles of walking does to your booty) but he also tries to talk me into pastries. We're going shopping tonight and I'm getting fruit. He can have his cream pastries and I'll have a banana. It's all growing pains and figuring this stuff out. Happy Tuesday ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9/4-162-Biked 9 miles. Glad it’s Friday.
9/5-159–I ate a light sensible dinner, which is what I used to do, plenty of protein all day. Walked 5 miles.
9/6-DNW-Only walked a mile, went to a cocktail party, lots of fun food. It will be very hot here, short walk after Zoom church.
9/7–161-BBQed ribs, not much of a walk. Hot again today....
9/8-161-Short walk, BBQed again.

Round 125 Goal: I will be going to the beach next week, so my plan is to hopefully maintain through that & not gain. Would love to be under 170 when this round ends but not sure that is doable with a vacation in the mix.

09/04: 172.7 (down .7 from yesterday) Happy with this drop to start this round! Yesterday was my 4th day this week AF, I don't think I will have a drink until we are at the beach next week. Trying to bank some good losses before then! Up for today is a run and cooking a nice dinner tonight, last night was kind of a scavenger hunt for something to make, so my body is craving a real meal tonight.

09/05: 172.6 (down .1 from yesterday) A loss is a loss, so I'll take it! Yesterday was my last day at work before vacation & I was chained to my desk all day for an additional 3+ hours to get everything in order before taking off next week, so never got my planned lunch hour run in or even lunch for that matter. ( I telecommute from home to my office, so usually I can get a work out in on my lunch hour) Today my daughter and I are off on a little road trip to pick up a FB Marketplace find so will be in the car most of the day. Hopefully will be back in time to get a run in and water the lawn before dinner prep begins.

09/06: 171.6 (down 1 lbs from yesterday) A little low on calories yesterday from being in the car for an extended time & my fast lasted 18 hours instead of the usual 16. Got my run in when I got home and was just as fast solo as my last run where my husband really pushed my pace, so progress! Feel the need for super protein today, so planning a steak for dinner + maybe asparagus to go with it. So much to do today, 100 million loads of laundry, packing everything for the beach, meal planning for the week, grocery shopping (staying in a house & taking all the non-perishable with us as just a small market nearby there). And really would like to get another run in today if there is time. Yesterday was my 6th day this week AF (yay!) but need to head to the liquor store today, planning some festive (yet low calorie) alcoholic drinks for the vacay.

09/07: 171.8 (up .2 lbs from yesterday) Slight uptick on this scale this morning, just a normal fluctuation but did weigh in a bit earlier this morning. Had no time to get a run in yesterday but that's okay, my goal is 3 runs a week right now, so yesterday would've just been a bonus run. Fasting yesterday was 20 hours due to being super busy running errands to leave town and 90% of my calories came from dinner. It was on the higher end of my allowed range but still at a deficit. Yesterday marked 7 days AF, hoping to get 4 days AF this new week. I *think* I'm in a good place to stay on track (maintain) at the beach. It is only 4 days and we are still social distancing so plan on cooking in every night except one. I've meal planned and already pre-logged in my dinners (with dessert) and adult beverages to MFP, so as long as I stick to those I should be okay. Cooking out tonight with hot dogs & corn on the grill, plus making coleslaw and a strawberry buttermilk cake. Looking forward to a nicely chilled glass of rosé to top off the day! Happy Labor Day to everyone in the US!

09/08: DNW (Beach) Stayed on the low end of my calories yesterday, 20+ hours fasting, and going with one meal a day (OMAD) whole at the beach. I had wine pre-logged into my calories to enjoy after dinner but didn't even want it, so that makes day 8 AF. On plan for tonight to cook is Tacos, peach cobbler with homemade vanilla ice cream, and Margaritas. I will have a Margarita! Will not weigh in again until Friday morning, I meant to pack my scale but forgot it. I'll still daily check in to keep myself accountable for the choices I make.

09/04 144.2 I'd like to see 143 this round. Happy with this as a starting point!
09/05 144.2 I usually plateau right before I lose, so if I can get through the weekend on track, I might be in for 143 or even 142 very soon. Funny how you can look forward to seeing numbers that once would have been upsetting. I was in the 120s in March, pre-quarantine. Sigh.
09/06 143.6 All right! Now I expect to toggle between 144/143 for a bit. With a week left in this round, I think I'm headed for a real loss this time. That would be encouraging more for what it represents: finally taking charge of my quarantine weight gain and moving closer to the maintenance weight I'd worked so hard to achieve last year.
09/07 142.4 Didn't expect this at all! Yesterday was one of the most stressful days I've experienced in the last few years. A family member had a medical emergency and required emergency treatment (they're okay, thankfully). I was briefly tempted to indulge in a treat I gave my kids, but reminded myself of something I'd read by some wise MFPer (I'd credit them if I could remember who it was): If hunger isn't the problem, food isn't the solution.
09/08 144.2 Not really viewing this as a setback. I had a ton of sodium yesterday. Stayed on track in calories, but all of it was take-out. Things should be calmer today, and I'll be able to eat at home. When the scale treats you to random gains for no apparent reason, it's good to keep in mind some of the reminders @TerriRichardson112 posts: "Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason. A general downward trend is what we are looking for."
And my downward trend is looking good, guys!

I will be back for another round. This will be my second since leaving in February and returning. This should be an interesting round. Hopefully it works out in my favor! Goal is to drop 2 pounds and be at or under 162.xx for 50% of the time.

Rnd 124 SW - 169 EW - 164.3 (-4.7)

09/04 - 164.3 I stayed the same so I am probably done losing all of my water weight. Hopefully I can have another nice drop or 2 this round. I have some dental work later this afternoon, so I doubt I will be eating dinner. I hate going to the dentist and didn't sleep well last night because of it. I will be glad when it is done!

09/05 - 164.7 didn’t eat anything after dental work last night and woke up to shark week a couple days early. Hopefully will go down soon.

09/06 - 161.3 didn’t eat much yesterday because of my dental work from the day before and stomach issues. I’m going to stay on track today and hope I don’t see too big of a spike tomorrow after eating more today.

09/07 - 162.8 I am ok with this. Ate a little more than the last couple of days, but definitely not getting my water in. I can't drink with a straw and hate drinking without one.

09/08 - 164.8 I have no idea where this came from. I did go out and eat sushi yesterday with my kids for an early bday dinner, but didn't think I did this bad and it was my only meal of the day. I am on antibiotics for my tooth, so maybe between the soy sauce and the antibiotics I am retaining a ton of water weight. I know my ring was super tight yesterday and today, which was weird because even a couple of weeks ago when I was 8 pounds heavier it wasn't tight. I am also still dealing with shark week, so it could just be a combination of everything. I am hoping to see a large dip tomorrow. 4 days of eating hardly anything and not having any alcohol should pay off a little bit. Back at work today and have all meals planned.

09/04 141 Wow. I’m down 14.8 lbs since April and have 1 more pound to go before starting maintenance. One day at a time, choosing hope, intermittent fasting, and tracking along with people in THIS GROUP almost every morning have helped me meet my 10-day goals! Staying in community really does help! I never felt I had to lose weight before but 15 lbs makes such a big difference on my frame and on my mindset. THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.

Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 125 (round 57 for me ) I'm in for another round (as always!) – I need to just keep going! As always, thank you @GrandmaJackie such a champion particularly in these unprecedented & unsettled times, helping keep some stability in our lives, for setting up these challenges.

Female age 62 5' 4” - Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it – it's a permanent way of life !

Goal for this round – to lose a pound. Stick with good habits: be mindful of what I eat & drink, keep walking, no binges, keep the 10 days binge free again, it makes such a difference!

09/04 134.8 – 3.88 miles walked yesterday as Thursday's I child mind DGS#1. Calories 355 over, new start tomorrow! DGS#2 had his first hospital app't since his discharge a week ago, they are happy with him, all his blood numbers are improved, but they have discovered he has an inability to produce adrenalin!! Another problem to be managed!!
09/05 134.8 – 10.16 miles walked yesterday, 272 calories in credit, 21g carbs over.
09/06 134.2 – 4.37 miles walked yesterday, bad food day over on calories & all macros

. New day today.
09/07 135 ! the weekend catching up with me? 11.14 miles walked yesterday. 274 calories in credit, all other macros in green.
09/08 133.8 – 11.47 miles walked yesterday, not a good food day, 246 calories over.

I’m a 5’ 8”, 45 yo Mom of 2 young ones. The lockdown had me squeaking toward 200, so I knew I had to start taking better care of myself!

09/04 – 178.6 – I had a piece of celebration cake yesterday and eliminated some of the other carbs I had planned for the day. The substitute seems to have worked.
09/05 – 179.1 – It’s that TOM, I know I ate more sodium, and my hands feel puffy today. Yep, water retention!
09/05 – 179.1 – Not too bad considering that yesterday I caved into stress and emotional eating. I guess I didn’t overdo it as bad as I thought?
09/06 – 178.5 – I finally feels like I am settling into the 170s and can say goodbye to the 180s!!
09/07 – 178.4 – I wasn’t able to get all of my steps in yesterday, but I met my calorie goal.

09/04 191.8 to start this round. I didn't drink enough water yesterday and didn't realize it until bedtime. Also, I thought I came in at 1293 calories yesterday and then realized I also ate walnuts as I was cooking bc I waited too long to start dinner. Plan for today.. only snack at planned snack time. Do not eat mindlessly.

09/05 192.8 today, I didn't mindlessly snack but we went out for dinner last night. I had half a nacho order and it was DELICIOUS but I'm paying the price in salt water weight today! Water water!

09/06 191.6 water weight dropped off a bit. healthy groceries for this week with minimal "treats" so not very many temptations are available.

09/07 192.0 up down up down. My trend line on libra still shows down so I'll take it. I went to yoga yesterday and my shoulders and hamstrings are so sore today! Also my girlfriends and are have having an afternoon tea today complete with scones and clotted cream, so I'm budgeting my calories around that!

09/08 191.2 lowest number this round. we shall see about tomorrow, I had a higher cal day and a bit salty dinner.
