Success/Struggles: After my Labor Day blowout, buckled down for two weeks and dropped a bunch of weight. My oldest came back home for a visit so we had some food and drinks again with him, put a few of those pounds back on again but still well within goal weight range after losing a few extras the weeks before in anticipation of another fun weekend! It seems to be keeping me within my range by being good during the week (eating under goal) then eating over on the weekends if I want to. Maybe not the sanest or safest way to stay in maintenance but its working so far…

Success: Not really success but the toe is healing up and I bought some lovely hiking boots that are very comfy.

How long in maintenance: Since April 2016 - but gained 10 kg March-May 2020 after massive trauma combined with COVID-19.
Maintenance weight range: 65-75 kg (not sure what’s the right answer - been up and down in there numerous times in my life, apart from going way over 2010-2015).

Weekly averages checking day for me is Sunday.

    Current moving average: 75.3 kg
    Today’s weigh-in: 74.3 kg
Average weight recorded from 2015 (12 months): 85 kg
Average weight recorded from 2016 (12 months): 64 kg
Average weight recorded from 2017 (12 months): 64 kg
Average weight recorded from 2018 (12 months): 65 kg
Average weight recorded from 2019 (12 months): 65 kg

Average weight recorded from December 2019: 65 kg
Average weight recorded from January 2020: 65 kg
Average weight recorded from February 2020: 65 kg
Average weight recorded from March 2020: 65 kg
Average weight recorded from April 2020: 69 kg
Average weight recorded from May 2020: 74 kg
Average weight recorded from June 2020: 75 kg
Average weight recorded from July 2020: 75 kg
Average weight recorded from August 2020: 75.8 kg

    Average weight Week of...

    Aug 31 - Sept 6 ............ 76.1 kg
    Sept 7 – 13……………. 76.9 kg
    Sept 14 – 20………….. 76.1 kg
    Sept 21 – 27………….. 75.2 kg

I’m trying to lose a bit to get back to 70 kg, but I’m still happy at around 75 kg.

I’m experimenting with seeing how my satiety levels are in relation to the types of foods I eat. Trying to eat more whole foods, which I’ve been getting pretty good at, and less sugar, and it’s going quite well.

Struggle of the week: Still had a sore hip, but the rest is doing me good.

Success of the week: Big drop in weight again.

Eating the plant-based whole foods with just a few low-processed treats has meant I haven’t been hungry as much and I’ve been under my maintenance calorie goal every day. I’ll be back in my “maintenance range” in a few days if I keep this up.

    Sept 26: 112.3 (trend 112.2)

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I had a bump up in my average weight this week, but my trending weight is still the same as last week. I'm still trying to get outside more to break up the monotony and have been exploring local parks within walking distance from me.

Hi! My name is Kristen. And I struggle to maintain my weight. I have had great success losing/gaining, but I'm hoping this group helps me be more accountable. I weigh only 1x week on Sundays, so that's when I'll check in. My 2 goals in 2020 are to not let the scale go above 153 and weigh in EVERY Sunday for the WHOLE YEAR. This seems easy to most, but I get lazy and make excuses why I don't need to weigh in and then all of a sudden everything in my closet has shrunk. LOL

Success of the week: I've been eating well. For the past few weeks I've been experimenting with sprouting dried beans before cooking, and they've been great. Lots of refrigerator pickles. A few experiments with fish en papillote.

Struggle of the week: Wildfires. With the return of University students, we're seeing an increase in COVID-19 infections, and that create stress. That makes me want to eat. Ha. Everything makes me want to eat :)

    Sept 6: 169.4
    Sept 13: 166.7
    Sept. 20: 166.9
    Sept: 27: 166.4

Success: Nice steady and stable weight fluctuating through the week between 168 and 164. I'm back to getting regular daily exercise. Rowing keeps getting better. I got a great compliment from one of the coaches today - he said he didn't recognize me right away because my rowing had improved. :) I'm learning to relax and center myself in the boat so that the boat becomes an extension of my body.

Struggles: Had a couple of days this week where I had a stress eating mini binge (that did not get fully logged!). Watching the news sometimes is just too much. But I managed to adjust those extra, unlogged calories and not actually put on any weight. Maybe next time this happens, I'll do a quick run around the block to work off the stress. I picked up a light-up safety vest so I can run/row in the dark as the days get shorter, so no excuse.

Successes: I joined a gym! I'm no longer going to be a "lazy runner" and I'm going to put some focus into strength!!

Struggles: Stepping on the scale often enough to get a picture that isnt skewed. Todays weigh in is likely high due to timing, and just starting a full body workout routine recently along with some food choices. We're going to try to work on balance moving forward

I'm so sorry to read your news. I'm also glad your family got to be together at the end. Please give me a shout out if there's anything I can do to help; I doubt there is. It will be a long process to grieve. My heart pains for your sorrow.

Successes/struggles: I expected September would see a weight rise – we managed a family get-together to celebrate my 70th birthday just before the “rule of 6” came in, and my boyfriend and I had a special dinner.

I’m maintaining well. The next few months look to be more of a struggle mentally as the restrictions get increased again.
    Stay safe
