I got through a whole weekend without exceeding my calories budget!
Also, it's an NSV even though it's just by chance - all my nice carefully-chosen outerwear from the past few years still fits well enough to wear. I caught my gain before I couldn't fit into it for the chilly Canadian fall/winter.20 -
I beat the year... 1020KM anyways. Met my goal of before my 63rd bday in mid-Oct. Mostly walking dog, virtual (drat 2020) 5Ks & 10Ks and some treadmill in the winter. I walk, I am not a runner.

This is my first nsv and I was quite suprised. After my bath, the towel wrapped around my whole body and i only changed my eating 17 days ago.30

I put on 2 lb over the last 7 days and this morning I was soooo looking at a "feeling sorry for myself binge".... Not much of an NSV I hear you say....
Well, what I actually did was to eat 4 pieces of Ryvita Crisp Bread for breakfast and then head to the gym.
Clocked up over 5 miles (a lot for me) on the bikes and really upset my arms and shoulder muscles with the weights workout.
Feeling great now and raring to get some more weight off before the "Weights and Measures Day" on Sunday!27 -
I noticed my pants legs were getting looser and looser last week.22
-
Also, the 16 pluses are starting to feel a little looser than is comfortable. Though not quite to the point where I can't wear them. This is very encouraging.16

I went for a bike ride with the whole family yesterday. I love that it was all together and building a healthy lifestyle. When we got home, we walked the dog together. This is a great and healthy change and makes me grateful for starting this journey.20

Did my lunchtime 5K at a pace of 6:46 min/km. that’s the first run I’ve recorded sub 7 min/km

This is weight related...but also now I UNDERSTAND why it’s shared so much!
I’m not obese on the BMI chart anymore!!!!!
Holy moly I have been hovering so ridiculously close to this edge I just plain gave up on caring about it.
Then, just for kicks I checked again today.
Yep. Wasn’t expecting to feel this excited and motivated by this! Hahaha
Congrats
I can’t wait till I get there!
I tell people that my goal is to be overweight.
My long term goal is according to BMI overweight. It’s at the low end of that range.

As the weather cools I found my long pants that fit pre-mfp. I don’t have to zip or unbutton them to put them on.
These pants size 22-20-18 The 16 ones I have to unbutton. I Was looking a pair of 14s on the top, shelf I found a pair they are size 12. Well I decided to just give them a try. I put them on buttoned them, a little snug but I can breathe. I zipped them, I don’t like the way they fit right now muffin top, but omg they buttoned zipped!!!23 -

My most recent one is weird in a way. 2 weeks ago I went on a trip with my wife. We visited a river town that is very hilly and pedestrian friendly. We easily hiked the hills, steps, and more. The next day we went and hiked a state park with a lot of caves and valleys. I managed all of it with little to no issue, and the only rests we really took were for meals those days. Never would have happened 3 months ago.
It was nice- and then the next Monday sharp pain in my Achilles. Achilles Tendinitis the diagnosis. In the past that would have been a "death" sentence, or at least a prescription to sit on the couch and do nothing till it felt better, and eat junk food and watch tv. I did follow the doctors advice, but also did not let it serve as an excuse, and last weekend I kept our plans to visit St. Louis and though it slowed me down and I couldn't do everything we wanted, I was able to still mostly keep up and I sit here today with no issues. My mindset has changed and my health improves because of it.33 -

Came here to post just about the same thing. Finally fitting into sub-40 waistbands for the first time in 12 or so years. Congratulations.
Oh, and I walked 100+ miles at a brisk pace in a single month for the first time in my entire life.30 -
Today was my 100th day in a row logging. It's been a great start to changing my lifestyle. I was also able to run a 5k without stopping for the first time in over 5 years last week, so that was exciting!23

I jave been doing two work outs a day all week. Walking and yoga. I hope to keep it up through to January 93 more days16

I weighed the same today as I did 1 September. NSV: I’m not upset about it.
My average weight was 3.45kg lower during September compared to august. I lost cm in my calf, thigh, upper arm and hips.
I will persevere.

Last night, I dreamt of a running route that I hadn't done before.
This morning, I woke up and did it.
There weren't as many construction detours in my dream but I haven't dreamed up routes since my marathon days so it's kinda nice that that's coming back to me even though I'm not running as often.30 -
I needed to buy a new belt, which was delivered today. It is extra small (26 to 28 inch waist.) My previous belt was 30 to 32, but it became too big to be effective.17

YES! I fit back in my smart work dress. I know it's Friday, but I'm looking verrry dressed up today in work21

There is a size M dress in my wardrobe from a brand where I used to be 2XL.

I was looking for a document and came across a very old leather belt. Like forty years old. I kept it for sentimental reasons; it hadn't fit in a long time. I remember buying it at a festival. Hand made and all. Maybe 25 years ago, I added a different belt buckle that allowed me to use it longer. I still have that belt buckle, but it's broken. It could possibly be fixed. I had put another buckle on from a belt that had broken, but it was still too small.
I tried it on yesterday. It fit.23 -
At the store the other day I saw a friend I hadn't seen in about 5 years, just before I started my journey. I said hello to her, but she didn't recognize me at all. I had to explain who I was and she almost broke down in tears, because she had always had given me a hard time about my weight....24

As of this morning I have lost 5 inches off my waist.36

The last two weeks have been beyond stressful at work - and I have been putting in an insane amount of hours (but working from home. I often don't get around to eating lunch until 2;30 or 3:00. I don't have time or mental energy to exercise either.
But, the good part in all of this, I have NOT skipped a meal. I have NOT gone over my calories. I have NOT strayed from my planned meals. I have NOT done any stress eating. AND, as I'm microwaving my meal, I'll do jumping jacks, or push ups, or something of the sort to at least get me moving a little bit.36 -
Okay so here is one I did not anticipate happening. Stayed long at church today to chat with people and a friend who I haven't seen in a while came up. We shook handsand he eyeballed me and said, "hey are you losing weight?" I said something like yeah and he said, "on purpose?"
...He thought I was deathly ill. Granted, I didn't feel so hot this morning, but i'll be danged if he didn't mistake me for a terminal case.
so, FYI, I guess 32 pounds in 100-ish days is enough to make people wonder if you're sick.
Honestly, I thought it was funny.
Not to detract from your progress which is great, but what the devil are you doing shaking hands! 🙄

Took my deadlifting belt down a notch and my normal velcro d-ringed strongwoman belt is getting too big for me now...am surpassing my strength levels from last year quite rapidly and with more energy (accustomed to the volume and commute to and from work and the gym on my bike)...bring on the next bulking cycle!12
