I bought a very expensive suit to wear to a destination wedding i was supposed to go to ladt March. Well the wedding had gotten postponed because of Covid to September......it then got postponed again until June of 2021. Well now the couiple has broken up and there is no wedding. So, i really see no reason for me to ever wear this damn suit im the forseeable future. So maybe ill just use the damn thing as pajamas just so i can get some value out of my buck!

Hey, you never know, their plans may change once again or the part of the couple you're close to might find someone else and you still get to wear the suit.

A related story, my dd is visiting, to be in the wedding of a close friend next weekend. This is her close friend's 2nd wedding so it's my dd's 2nd investment of a bridesmaid dress. My dd says she can foresee her friend getting married many times so she's hanging onto all her 'wear once in a lifetime' dresses in case her friend chooses the same color combo in her future. :)

Alexa is sexist....go tell her to “annoy my dad” and then tell her to “annoy Suzy (or any other name)” and then tell her to “annoy my mom”

I’m decluttering my clothes and realizing how much I buy the practical stuff intead of the fun stuff. It has never really made me feel good in my clothes or that excited about getting dressed. I have wasted so much money on buying ‘practical things I’ll wear forever’ but never wear because they’re boring. Ugh. I got rid of a bunch of boring basics and I’m gravitating more toward clothes that have a little interest.

So it was just good timing that these were delivered today. This sweater I have wanted since April and they’re finally back in stock, and the white flutter sleeve tee is a bit more elevated than the basic crewneck tee I’d normally buy. I couldn’t wait to wear them. Money well spent!

    Don’t know why I’m sharing 😬

And I *do* like that sweater CacoEther.
I've been buying boring basic forever because I'm afraid to call attention to wearing anything different. So I completely understand.
    I need a personal clothes shopper. :/

i feel you on this. because i'm older - i'm hesitant to look like i'm *pretending to be younger*. so i go back to the things i have. i do lean to wearing more fun clothes in summer because summer is only a month up here ;) and winter is forever. i do have a great parka tho lol

accessories can make a big difference , what do you think?

I agree about accessorizing making a big difference. However, I'm not good at that either. :) I don't wear jewelry or scarves, or hats, or well, most anything besides Levi jeans and a t-shirt or Levis and a long-sleeved shirt. That's the height of my 'daring to be different'. :)

    I wonder...

one of my pet peeves with professional sports over the couple decades has been the individualism and selfishness. For example, when players made statements like “I this”, or “I that”, etc.

Now that “we’re all in this together”, supposedly, have, or are, those egotistical and self absorbed individuals, and team reporters, going to change their verbiage?

Full disclosure... So far it doesn’t seem like it but I must confess I no longer watch them and only see what is “trending”.

    🤔

I have a birthday party to attend today and I woke up with huge bags under my eyes. Possible allergic reaction to something? Anyway, I just ran to the local CVS and purchased preparation H. Apparently this is a beauty secret I'm unaware of. Will report back if anyone's interested in results.

    Did it work?

Daylight saving started today. I woke at 6am and thought yayyy I got a sleep in because I'm normally up at 5.30am. But realised that its actually 5am in yesterday's time. Its gunna be a long week.. I hate the first week of time change, really puts me :(

    Daylight Savings Time? Today ?

Didn't you also just have Father's Day ?

Can't you folks 'down under' do anything right ?

    When's Christmas ? March ? April ? May ? ....... Tomorrow ?

    B)<3;)

    .

We march to the beat of our own drum 😂
BTW.. Christmas in July has really taken off over here. Lots of places do it so they can enjoy a wintery, cold Christmas.
And yes, Fathers Day is the first Sunday of September.

Maybe next year, for Christmas in July, I'll send you a proper calendar....

why thank you, that would be nice 🤗
Might I suggest a hot firefighter one 😜

    Firefighter ??

So each and every month gets a photograph....

I had this calendar in mind:

    January: je41eiimase1.jpg

    February: 0pznosiy3y42.jpg

    March: x6tskuyc9fol.jpg

    April: t50al1n8c3eq.jpg

    You get the idea.

    10/10 would bang

Maybe post it somewhere to give away? There might be someone wanting to get married and they don't have money to buy a suit? Or for someone's prom? Or... maybe wear it on a date with no shirt under the jacket? 🤷‍♀️😜

Whoaaaaaaa ☝🏿 Let's not be hasty @Revolu7. Grab some cufflinks and head over to the Suits thread.

Especially if you decide to wear them as PJs.

Also wondering if @Motorsheen is selling this calendar on, like, Etsy? As well as whether @CacoEther can be my personal shopper! Loved both 'fits on you!

It definitely did help reduce the puffiness.
Unfortunately, I still haven't figured out what is causing this. I'm currently laying here icing my eyes on and off because I don't want to go into work smelling like that stuff. 🤧

be careful using that preparation H, I read it damages the sensitive skin around your eye.

Those skin potions that tighten the skin like a drum for several hours do damage in the long run. The kinds you find on info ads. It's like using duct tape pulling everything behind the ears. The skin only has so much elasticity. My reco is go to your dermie for a Rx/their lotions. They have sunscreen combos, too.
