I bought a very expensive suit to wear to a destination wedding i was supposed to go to ladt March. Well the wedding had gotten postponed because of Covid to September......it then got postponed again until June of 2021. Well now the couiple has broken up and there is no wedding. So, i really see no reason for me to ever wear this damn suit im the forseeable future. So maybe ill just use the damn thing as pajamas just so i can get some value out of my buck!8

Well the wedding had gotten postponed because of Covid to September......it then got postponed again until June of 2021. Well now the couiple has broken up and there is no wedding. So, i really see no reason for me to ever wear this damn suit im the forseeable future. So maybe ill just use the damn thing as pajamas just so i can get some value out of my buck!
Hey, you never know, their plans may change once again or the part of the couple you're close to might find someone else and you still get to wear the suit.
A related story, my dd is visiting, to be in the wedding of a close friend next weekend. This is her close friend's 2nd wedding so it's my dd's 2nd investment of a bridesmaid dress. My dd says she can foresee her friend getting married many times so she's hanging onto all her 'wear once in a lifetime' dresses in case her friend chooses the same color combo in her future.

Ugh, yesterday was a day filled with stress. So unfortunately what do I do when the stress makes me crazy? I eat.
And eat.
And eat.
My dd is visiting from NC for about 10 days, drove for 2 days to get here. Mama Bear worries right there.
She brought her dog with her, who turns out to be a sweet thing. BUT my 2 dogs are not used to sharing their home and their parents. Very territorial.
Stress there.
I Cared for my BIL almost 4 hours yesterday; he's on Hospice with Alzheimer's. And he started to scare me with some changes in his breathing pattern and his amount of shaking I saw yesterday. They took some meds away due to increased risk of falling. Major stress there.
So I came home and ate. 8 -

i feel you on this. because i'm older - i'm hesitant to look like i'm *pretending to be younger*. so i go back to the things i have. i do lean to wearing more fun clothes in summer because summer is only a month up here
and winter is forever. i do have a great parka tho lol

I agree about accessorizing making a big difference. However, I'm not good at that either. I don't wear jewelry or scarves, or hats, or well, most anything besides Levi jeans and a t-shirt or Levis and a long-sleeved shirt. That's the height of my 'daring to be different'. 3 -

one of my pet peeves with professional sports over the couple decades has been the individualism and selfishness. For example, when players made statements like “I this”, or “I that”, etc.
Now that “we’re all in this together”, supposedly, have, or are, those egotistical and self absorbed individuals, and team reporters, going to change their verbiage?
Full disclosure... So far it doesn’t seem like it but I must confess I no longer watch them and only see what is “trending”.

I've been thinking alot lately. More than 400 kids between the age of 12 and 18 in my province are waiting for a family and a permanent home to call their own. I may not be at my best yet healthwise but I'm seriously considering adopting a kid.11
