what a difference, never heard of the drinking at the end of meal, will try that. No, dont gain it back, I weigh every day so I notice if I start slipping.

Les, 100 lbs in a year's time. How did you maintain your skin's elasticity along the way and the water at the end of the meal....tell all.4

When you're eating and you feel the need to drink, it's because your stomach is full and wants you to flush it out (you still digest food in your intestine).
I never put a drink on my table when I'm eating. I'll eat until I either feel full or I need a drink. Then I take my plate out, wait a couple of minutes then get a drink.
I've uploaded a video that someone sent me when I started my journey.

I think it's because the loss was slow and steady.2 -
Les, slow and steady as my jaw falls to the floor. Must be good genetics, that's all I can say. So how do you feel in comparsion to a year ago.1

Great job!

I feel amazing and at least 10 years younger. I've had to buy a whole new wardrobe and that adds to the excitement. It's great to go in a shop knowing that they will have your size and I won't have to do a 'special order' online. I'm also happy to look in a mirror now, and my confidence is off the scale.8 -
It shows. Don't you wish someone would've told us about all of this a long time ago. Your energy is contagious. Stay fierce and unstoppable.2

Congratulations on your successful loss! It seems to me that for maintenance you just keep doing what you've been doing - you've learned a new way to eat that works for you. No reason to change, is there? If you think you're continuing to lose and it's too much then just up your calories slightly.2

congrats on losing the weight! maintenance is harder, but worth it. If rules 3 and 4 work for you, that's great! Though, the evidence does not support them.

Just keep in mind that you don't want to go through that again. That's what is keeping me going. I can't go back to 450 and 500 and 570 just to have to lose it all over again. I'm 390 as of this morning. My mind couldn't take it!9

OMG - wow. you're a different person! How did you lose that much and not have sagging skin?
I think you're my new hero. GOOD FOR YOU!5 -
Well done! That's an impressive transformation.2

What a transformation. Well done. Good luck with the maintenance.2

Congratulations, you've made it! I have a similar story, lost 2lb a week throughout 2019 (103 total) and have now been in maintenance for 9.5 months. So far I'm finding that the only way to make sure I don't slip back into old habits is to keep logging everything (set my target to "maintain" and if I go a bit over one day make sure I compensate the next) and weigh myself every week. It's a bit of a pain to need to record everything I eat but it's soooo much better than putting it all back on again. Your "after" picture is incredible; I'm mid-40s, so know that my skin has lost elasticity, but I have acquired loads of saggy skin even though I kept to a steady 2lb/week loss. Nothing I can do about it so I'm trying to look on it as a reminder never to do that to myself again. I don't necessarily agree with all the tips that you gave but it's fantastic that they worked for you (personally I found that a glass of water before every meal helped me to feel fuller!). I think the main thing for me though was feeling in control. There was nothing that I couldn't eat but it was all my choice – "I can eat this but then I can't have that 'cos it'll take me over the daily allowance" – and that helped me to make smarter decisions. Good luck with your maintenance and congrats again :-)7

You LOOK 10 years younger and 100 pounds better!
Happy shopping!
And many, many happy years with your daughters.1 -
Had a 5am run this morning, first time for years. Checking my Fitbit I was surprised that the difference in calories used compaied to mountain biking (which i prefer) was small. I'll stick with the bike from now on.5
