A little story; a little plan; a little kick in the butt.
The Story:
So over the last few months I've finally managed to get to weight that I haven't seen since 1998 at least and was on the consistency train. I got to within .8(!) of weighing less than my husband for the first time ever.
Ten days ago one college freshman fessed up to the fact that he's flunking his first semester.
Five days ago the other college freshman at a different school let us know that 3 of his 8 suitemates have COVID and the rest including him are awaiting results. Three days ago my husband and I came down with symptoms and got tested and are awaiting results.
I fell off the consistency train. I'm pretty sure I went from any sort of forward locomotion to carb fueled horse and buggy.
The Plan:
I will not let this happen, been there. I am up about a kilo, likely mostly salt. Back to taking care of me today. Healthy food, reacquaint myself with some water, get my kitten on the treadmill for the stress relief.
The kick:
I've spent decades making a bit of progress and losing the same 10 pounds. I've finally lost a substantial amount, feel fantastic and am so much healthier! No letting mental stress invade the good!
Mini goal: Get back to where I was by Tuesday and work on handling stress better

The ocean swells and ebbs all the time, unless you're in a tiny boat in the midst of a storm, you wouldn't even feel it. Don't let the ups get you! Sounds like you've got a plan! Take care of yourself and I hope you and your family continue to stay healthy!6 -

Thanks Friend, the support means a lot. I think it's just knowing how fast it can become a Tsunami if I don't grab it! I WILL NOT grow back out of the Dragon Pants9 -

You won't!! Wear 'em a lot. They'll remind you when you're like "maybe I can have this?" and then the pants will be there to remind you and say, "why not save that until you have recovered the ground you lost!"
My first pair of dragon pants, the ones I'd outgrown shortly after getting them that are now 2 sizes too big... that's what I did. I hung those suckers up, took a picture, and put them on the lock screen of my phone. Every time I used my phone there they were, front and center.
Reminding me. XD
It helped! And then I could wear them and I had to find a new dragon to conquer!6 -
I am trying to get back to my pre-covid19 weight now that the gyms are open again (in Melbourne). My mini goal is to get below 80kgs...currently 82.6
-
I had to go to the dentist today. 2 hours in the waiting room sitting in an uncomfortable chair with armrests. Goal is that next time, I am there I can sit comfortably with room to spare.10
-
I am now at 244. Onward and downward to 240!9

My mini goal is just to keep up the exercise habit I've started. 30 minutes of exercise a day, no matter how light (yoga and walks count too!) juuust to keep me consistent. I tend to work out hard then burn out or injure myself, then I'm forced to take a break and consequently fall off the exercise wagon. Slow and steady is the name of this game. Also, I'm finding this way of slower exercise, I'm much more mindful of how my body is feeling and less prone to injury. And if I miss a day, so what? Perfectionism has never done me any favors. Finally learning to moderate myself. 😊12

Did it!!! But, been hovering around 178/179 ever since I started back at school. So...my micro goals are to stay within my calorie range every day so I can get to my mini goal: 175 by the end of this month.8 -
I'm trying to hit 142.5 at the end of the month. It would be nice to lose another inch from my waist.
Working on incorporating more strength training in my workouts. Going to start working more on my glutes and abs.
Just trying to make it to Thanksgiving without going over calorie budget.
Inching towards size 6.8 -
Over a yo-yo weight loss and gain over the past six months, I’ve finally recommitted to mfp. I’ve lost two lbs since last Sunday . My mini goal is to lose another 2.5 lbs in November to take me to 11 stone 9. I’ve restarted walking which I find easier than the gym.
I am now 1/4 of a lb away from my goal! My new goal will be to get to 11 stone 7 by the end of November, which will be a 1/2 stone loss!5 -
To not gain weight during the holidays.9
-
Shirts that hang instead of hug.11
-
Looking forward to seeing what it's like to stay 40 pounds lighter during the holiday season.8
-
I want to just stay on track and keep doing what I'm doing. Every day my mini goals are to eat better, eat less, move more. Drink more water. If I can keep it up and stay on track through the holidays, I will be in ONEderland by Jan 1. Fingers crossed!10
-
Get out of the 190's 4.4 pounds to go. I've gotten to 194 before and couldn't get lower. It creeped back up a little but it's going down again. Just need it to keep working at it!8
-
Five pounds from reaching 100 lbs. lost since May. Would really like to hit that number by December 31, 2020.13
-
I recently hit my goal weight, and have been trying to be more active. I will continue to log food to maintain weight through the end of the year; walking and jogging outdoors as much as Chicago weather permits and using my stationary bike when it does not.
During that time I will decide on a new goal weight (currently 5'9 198 lbs) and some other fitness targets. After the holidays I will change my daily calorie goal and start the appropriate training program.9 -

And eventually wanting shirts that hug, because your physique allows it? That's how it was for me, anyway...9
