I never understood the appeal of Texas, but I'm finally starting to see it. Never change, Texas, never change.5

soooo... doc says I have a mild hiatal hernia and inflammation of the stomach in the same area. The two don't play well together, but neither of them are really anything to be concerned about. I'm getting referred to a specialist to help me talk about the flare ups I have that cause pain / nausea / illness. I know the introduction of the new protein powder didn't help, so that's been stopped.
I told her I lift heavy (for me) weights, and she didn't tell me to stop... but I will slow my progression a bit so that I am relying on the targeted muscle groups instead of a full body press. That means no attempts at 1rm PRs, or crazy weight progressions, but that's ok.
Google tells me to not even lift a kettlebell. Yeah, um, sorry. That's not happening. Not until the doc says so.5 -

Both sound annoying but manageable...? 🤷🏿♀️
Am happy it's nothing more serious yet can understand you wanna get back to lifting too 🤗

Well, it addresses the nausea and upper abdominal pain. and it looks like I can manage it with an adjusted diet (and maybe adjusted lifting goals).
I still have one more test to get through - the lower abdominal CT for a separate issue. That's in 11 days. If that is clear, then I can stop worrying.
Hoping for clear! *crossing fingers*4 -
Definitely crossing my fingers along with you dear lady! So far, it sounds okay, not perfect but with adjustments...... Take care and No More Protein Powder for you Missy!1

Hmmm, thinking of how to step outside of my comfort zone today. Maybe go further than my mailbox?1

So yesterday afternoon, dh returns from work like normal. We're sitting at the kitchen table sharing the big news from both of our days. He says he went to the grocery store on his way home, to get green peppers for his once a year chili cooking. They had 2 green peppers, 2.99 # and they weren't very good so he left without getting any.
Sad thing is I couldn't top that excitement.5 -

The sheer amount of russian porn accounts on MFP recently is disturbing. Why do people just blindly accept FRs?9

I rarely do. It's usually got to be someone who's a common friend, or super awesome in the forums (aka respectful and interactive).2 -

Why are they here in the first place? I'm assuming those are the ones that usually have Cyrillic in their descriptors and nothing else filled out, no profile pic, right?
I've been getting an influx of requests from accounts like that since Nov. and I can't figure out why.1 -

ohhh they have picsI'm sure they do, but I'm not going to venture far enough to find them. If I want that, though... those bots have competition on MFP. After all, here is where we go to find our work husbands/wives, right?
