Yeah they restricted PMs to friends only a few years back because they were having massive issues with inappropriate spammers using PMs and alotttt of people were complaining about it. It's tough to fight the porno spammers and still alow normal users to connect

Did you know that if someone sends you a pm who isn't a friend you don't ever see the message ( that is true) but if by some flook you send one to that same person they do get your pm and you can pm backwards and forwards.. though the initial pm is lost never to be seen.4 -

I sent a couple pm.s to people and they never replied. Slimjo told me MFP has some kind of glitch where it won't be received unless they're on your friends list.
I know! I felt slighted and my paranoia got the best of me.
Do you know how to tell if they’ve been opened?
Gonna edit this to explain just in case you or others don’t already know:
Log into the site on a browser, whether on your phone or pc. Can’t do it in the app. Click on the mail icon and look at the sent folder. If they’ve been opened, there will be a green check mark by ‘Read’.
When i send a message, i quickly pop into the sent tab and repeatedly hit refresh until i see that green checkmark, then the clock starts ticking. Hahaha! I’m just kidding. (I’m not kidding)

I hated math as a kid, but now I do my taxes by hand on paper and then check them with a calculator. I have a friend who's pretty uneducated (dropped out of h.s. at 15 to have his first kid) and he's shocked that I can do math in my head. He'll call me up and say "I just got a job making 20 bucks an hour...how much is that per week?" and I tell him "$800, probably $680 after taxes if it's not under the table" and he's like "How the FCK did you do that so fast?!?"6

I got As in triple integral calculus... But I can't add worth *kitten* in my head. I'm better now because I've set my alarm clocks to make me do double digit math in order to shut them up.
But I still panic and blank out under pressure.
Tldr... I am absolutely in awe of people who can do mental math AND get the right answer!4 -
On a side note... The first time I saved it, the filter changed *kitten* to *kitten*. But then after I edited it, it changed back to *kitten*.

I told my fat cousin the other day that the two of us should start an online movement to take down the bodybuilding competitions for failing to promote a diverse range of body types. I told her with mock outrage that if we entered a BB contest, we'd get laughed at and told we're Just Not Good Enough. Then I told her that the competition should be judged on who has the most body positivity and self-love.2
