This week wasn't a good week for me. :-( I actually gained 1.3lbs putting me to 219.5. :sad: I am going to work my butt off this coming weekend and next week and I'm going to come with better results.

My name is Rebecca and I am from Texas. I need to lose 40lbs by Christmas. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant and my doc told me that it is best for me to lose the weight.
Starting weight: 210
Goal weight: 170
Plans on how to get there: work out 5 days a week/ givew up soft drinks and drink lots of water/ eat healthy
By biggest down fall is lunch.... I find it so hard for me to stick to my plan at lunch..... Oh and also social eating. If everybody is eating bad then I eat bad... I can use some help and support from anybody out there. HELP ME!!!!0 -

Starting weight: 194.2lbs
Goal: lose 40 by christmas (approx 15 wks), lose 2.7 lbs/wk
Plan: use stairs, no desserts, Nike workouts 2-3x/wk, calorie counting (of course!), drink plenty of water, avoid buffets!!0 -
I have gained 8 since the beginning of summer and really need this challenge to stay on track! I am all in 100%!
So:
Starting weight: 185.5
Goal weight 145!
That would put me 20 from where I want to finish!
I plan on exercising an hour a day, 6 days a week.
I also will maintain 1400 calories!!0 -

My plan is to stay within my calorie range, exercise at least three days a week (walking, zumba, elliptical) and trying to remain motivated!!0 -

Brooke....I share in your results. I gained 1 pound this week. It was very discouraging because I place alot of value of success on the number on the scale. I felt like a looser...but then I just started thinking...I didn't put on my weight in one week....and I can't expect to loose it on one week either. I love your positivity and resolve - you WILL do it this week...we both will...I just wish I could loose it like a guy...lol...my husband sneezes and drops 5 pounds...lol!

I LOVE your comment about not losing all your weight in one week...I will have to keep that in mind when I know I'm not going to see the number on the scale that I want to see. It can definitely be discouraging but that's one thing I love about MFP is the support that everyone gives one another...it makes you want to succeed even more. So yes..WE both will do it this week and have some good news for next Friday's weigh in. Hope you have a great weekend and a successful week ahead. :happy:0 -

I eat 900 cal/day @ max sometimes less (like today 550) and do 60 mins of exercise 4 times/ week (ballet 1 day and cheer practice 3 days) *I lost one pound in one day (between yesterday afternoon and today)*0 -

It's so real like that sometimes our weight flactuation is an interesting factor this is a great loss. It makes me feel so relaxed to see the different results and realisations this week.

I am in! my weight on friday was 213.4 to be 173 aqt Christmas would be amazing! My sister, mother and son are all challenging each other to drop 30 in 90 so this would help me be the biggest loser at our Christmas gathering and give me bragging rights!
I will get on the exercise bike 5 days a week for an hour and do strength moves with weights while on the bike! Yoga 30 minutes a day every day and restarting the 30 day shred program! Starting right now!0 -

I would love to join - I really need to kick things up a notch. I have been on MFP for about 16 weeks and have lost 12 pounds....but I still have a lot to go and I am in need of some motivation!
SW for this challenge is 220, and I would LOVE to be at 180 by Christmas.
for one thing my company is starting to charge a more for insurance premiums if your BMI is over 30 (which of course mine is). 185 would get me down below 30 and save me about $40 a month!0 -

I had issues in the past of getting obsessive with charting and planning. I stopped dieting 6 years ago and oddly enough I have stayed within 8 pounds of 212 for 6 years. But now It's time to bring it down, then have 6 or more years around 175 : )
For me its about balance.
- I'll eat what I want when I want (within reason) planning only so I have the food in the house.
- If one day is way out of range, the next day should be a slightly less calorie day and increase exercise exertion (not extra time)
- Before I actually drift into the kitchen, I will have a good idea about what I am getting (no window shopping for "what could I have")
- I won't schedule or week of salads or eat food that I don't like because its healthy or lower calorie.
- I will do 1 hr of exercise a day (5-6 days a week) from the following group (as I get board of doing the same thing all the time and it prevents me from injuring myself because of repetition.):
Swim (That's only 40 minutes, but awesome workout)
Bike (stationary or on the road)
Step Aerobics
Water Aerobics
Walk
Olyptical
Skiing
Zumba
Xbox Dancepad
Wii Fit
Walking the stairs up and down during work breaks
(My ultimate goal is to every year on 9/11 do the 81 flights of stairs the firefighters had to climb. In honor of the firefighters that died.
tried this year, made it to 35 flights and super sore 2 days later!)
- Use myFitnessPal to track daily. Love the bar code scanner on the iphone. Makes it super easy for most entries.
- Pray to stay on track and thankful to be on track, pray to work through / discover what I perceive as hunger when I am not.
- Only talk about my weight loss with you guys. Let people discover on their own I am shrinking ; )
Well I will keep you posted and I will print this off to keep me honest. I hope the weight will come off by Christmas, but I won't put that kinda pressure on myself anymore.0 -

I'm down an additional two pounds. :happy: I need to figure out how to lose at least half of a pound more per week ( which I'm not sure how to do being on Medifast ) or I'm not going to make my forty-pound goal by Christmas...0 -

I am sticking to my calories while drinking Shakeology for 2 meals a day , Couch to 5 K and rotating walking,Turbo Jam, or Insanity on my rest days. I am only on Week One Day Two
I also drink all my water avoid all "soda" ... and am trying to figure out the rest of this diet stuff
As of today 09/17/11 I am 184.6 (down 7.2lbs) my challenge goal weight is 151.8
I started 30day shred 2 days ago and will continue to walk/run and throw in a different video workout a few days a week I am still on no soda(regular or diet) and staying within my calorie range .. I will eat my excerise calories back one day a week but not every day since I am really obese and need to lose the weight !! Hope everyone else is doing GREAT !!0 -

Goal Weight: 165
I am 22 and have a 14 month old girl. I am trying to eat a lot better and exercise with purpose. Mostly I go for walks, especially now that it is getting cooler outside. I have also done a tiny bit of Yoga in the past, which I would love to continue. Any other suggestions for low impact exercises would be appreciated. I do have rheumatoid arthritis, which makes it difficult to do some things.
Anyone can add me, if you want another accountability partner!! :-)0 -
