A couple years back, my wonderful sister surprised me with this gorgeous Kate Spade dress I'd been eyeing. Even then, while it fit, it was a tight fit. Then I ballooned up for a few years and it hung sadly in my closet. I am so happy and proud to say that I recently was able to wear it and not only did it fit / zip up, it was comfortable. I felt so confident and validated that my hard work really is paying off.

Been working on balance because mine used to be terrible. I used to not be able to tie my shoes unless sitting. So I have been working on it. And now I am holding poses while the husband takes pics making me laugh the whole time 🤣

You inspired me - I anticipated having trouble getting to sleep and I saw your fantastic poses so I decided to do some stretching on the floor. I was more flexible than I've been since I was a kid (which still isn't very, but it's an improvement) and for the first time in a while felt truly good in my body and proud of what I could do. Just simple leg stretches, is all, nothing even very yogaish, but it still was great!

Yay for all my fellow Non Scale Victors! We can do it and we ARE doing it!

(Oh, and Jenilla1, a 3.5 minute plank is frickin' impressive. I can't even do 30 seconds yet of a full and proper plank.)

I’m wearing a pair of yoga pants I bought on sale years ago a size too small. They wouldn’t even go over my knees even though I was at an All Time Low when I bought them. I shrugged and resigned myself to the fact that they were the least stretchy toga pants on the world.

10 Kg below that and they fit great.

Today I was given a t-shirt for a volunteer role I have taken up at my local university. It was the largest size that they had, and it is too small.

My NSVs are that 1) it is only one size too small, so will be tight but wearable, and 2) that I am not beating myself up over it.

I will fit it in a month or two, at my current rate. And in the meantime, my worth is not defined by a t-shirt ordering system that is designed for teenagers.

My smart watch strap is now on the 5th hole! When I first bought it, I was so discouraged because it barely fit on the first hole. 😁

I have really stiff shoulders due to a combination of excess weight and a previous injury, so I usually cannot reach behind me (and have to use front closure bras as a result). Unfortunately, my front clasp broke and I had to use a normal bra.
I was able to actually take it off by myself for the first time in about a year. Not huge for some people, but mobility was a big issue for me.

Two big ones:

1) I crossed my legs while sitting. Like, proper, thigh over thigh crossing. I literally can not remember the last time I could do that, and it just happened naturally while I was on one of my observation visits this week.

2) My knees didn't "talk" to me when I was going up stairs today. Usually, I am forced into doing a pretty convincing impression of a fresh bowl of Rice Krispies any time I am climbing stairs. Today, not a single snap, crackle, or pop.

Not something most people would even notice, but those are two huge signs that I am on the right track. Also, I noticed that my inner voice has stopped saying "IF I reach my goal weight" and has shifted to "WHEN I reach my goal weight." It's not going to happen overnight, but it's going to happen. That's no longer up for debate. Keep up all of the excellent work, everyone.

Everyday this week I told myself to exercise and I would take a rest day on Friday. Then today I decided to go ahead and workout anyway.

Its a step in the right direction.

Idk if this counts but just an hour ago one of my nephews was observing me until I caught him and asked whats up. He turned a little red and asked if I'd lost weight? When I asked why he said my face looked thinner and I genuinely looked slimmer. I smiled and admitted as far as I knew I'd only lost 4 pounds. He smiled and said he was happy for me bc I looked great. THAT genuinely made my day bc I sincerely didn't think 4 lbs would be noticeable. Idk if it matters but my nephew is 20.

I am able to do a 15 min. gentle jog- a few months ago I was struggling to complete 30 min. walking videos, I needed a break after 15 min.

1. Lost 6" in my waist and pant's are unwearable, had to get new one's three sizes smaller! 2. Shoes are getting loose! 3. Jaw line, collar bone, veins in hands and feet are all starting to show who knew they were there, welcome to the party!!

Today my right split was finally flat again. It's not perfect but it's not as painful as it used to be and it's definitely progress.
I've been moving my body more but finding it hard to stay sloowww at it.
Exercise intolerance is an actual real thing that I have and that came with my mitochondrial dysfunction. There's a fun fact I could have lived without.
Maintaining the balance between getting fitter, eating right but also not making my mitochondria function even worse is hard. NGL this is worse than relearning how to walk. But today I killed it with that flat split and my left one is also improving.
