Just realized I weigh less than the 20 yr fib on my driver's license

Two big ones:
1) I crossed my legs while sitting. Like, proper, thigh over thigh crossing. I literally can not remember the last time I could do that, and it just happened naturally while I was on one of my observation visits this week.
2) My knees didn't "talk" to me when I was going up stairs today. Usually, I am forced into doing a pretty convincing impression of a fresh bowl of Rice Krispies any time I am climbing stairs. Today, not a single snap, crackle, or pop.
Not something most people would even notice, but those are two huge signs that I am on the right track. Also, I noticed that my inner voice has stopped saying "IF I reach my goal weight" and has shifted to "WHEN I reach my goal weight." It's not going to happen overnight, but it's going to happen. That's no longer up for debate. Keep up all of the excellent work, everyone.38 -
Everyday this week I told myself to exercise and I would take a rest day on Friday. Then today I decided to go ahead and workout anyway. Its a step in the right direction.21

Having blood pressure readings that are always good is a major victory.18

Bought a pair of size 8 jeans without trying them on and they're too big!20

Idk if this counts but just an hour ago one of my nephews was observing me until I caught him and asked whats up. He turned a little red and asked if I'd lost weight? When I asked why he said my face looked thinner and I genuinely looked slimmer. I smiled and admitted as far as I knew I'd only lost 4 pounds. He smiled and said he was happy for me bc I looked great. THAT genuinely made my day bc I sincerely didn't think 4 lbs would be noticeable. Idk if it matters but my nephew is 20.21

I am able to do a 15 min. gentle jog- a few months ago I was struggling to complete 30 min. walking videos, I needed a break after 15 min.26

I exercised today and feel pretty good!19

1. Lost 6" in my waist and pant's are unwearable, had to get new one's three sizes smaller! 2. Shoes are getting loose! 3. Jaw line, collar bone, veins in hands and feet are all starting to show who knew they were there, welcome to the party!!24

Today my right split was finally flat again. It's not perfect but it's not as painful as it used to be and it's definitely progress.
I've been moving my body more but finding it hard to stay sloowww at it.
Exercise intolerance is an actual real thing that I have and that came with my mitochondrial dysfunction. There's a fun fact I could have lived without.
Maintaining the balance between getting fitter, eating right but also not making my mitochondria function even worse is hard. NGL this is worse than relearning how to walk. But today I killed it with that flat split and my left one is also improving.20 -
There was no major flexing, filters or anything here just lifted my leg , slightly flexed and bam!
Muscle is visible now in ways it wasn't before it's visible through my jeans it's visible even when I am not working out (here I was, obviously). It's just so cool. 😁😁29 -
Passed 400 lifetime miles on my Runkeeper!20

i survived my first major karma dogpile since i started in 2019. started having heart rate drops so i had to stop walking 4 miles 3x a week, then bad weather hit and had to stop walking completely, then got my first covid shot that messed up my breathing and had me down for 2 days, then daughter got covid so i had to isolate at home for 10 days, then on the day i got off isolation my back went out bad. 1 1/2 weeks with that and then my second covid shot put me down again for 2 days. finally, yesterday i got out to walk and did 1.75 miles at a nice, slow 41 minute time. all of that happened in the last month and amazingly i lost 10 lbs during that time.
just now i was rubbing my wrist and realized my thumb and finger are touching. OMG!! i haven't been able to do that since the 90s!30 -
Accidentally posted in the mini goal thread, it's been a day! But my most recent NSV is that I have to tighten my Apple Watch down another notch and I had to actually tie my running shorts today since they're falling off now!20

When someone notices you're slimming down and toning up, that's the best NSV and is wonderful motivation, especially if you don't yet see it yourself.14

I'm finally comfortable in "skinny" leg walking pants. Normally I'd wear at least a boot cut for some bag on my legs & hips! "Hips Don't Lie"11

I use the next tightest notch on my FitBit now.
I moved up to 3lb weights for my arms and I'm enjoying the new challenge of heavier weights.
I have so much more patience and understanding with myself this time around on the weight loss journey than I ever have before. It's making all the difference in the world and that change in mentality is absolutely a victory.22 -
My teenaged granddaughter was shooting a video of herself on her phone in my kitchen. I happened to be in the background and one of her friends asked if Nana was losing weight!23

We just went for a 3-day ski trip to Utah and not only could I fit into my small Ski pants, but my exercise regime also paid off and I did not get really sore from skiing for 3 days straight. In the past, my legs would be burning after the first day but this year I was able to ski 3 days pain-free :-)17

I used 4kg dumbbells for the whole of today's 45 min workout (probably about 30 mins were with weights). That's up from struggling to get through 10 mins with 0.5 kg DB back last May. My husband commented last night that my shoulders now have muscles. I had noticed that too but it's great that he can see it as well. My shoulders and neck are so much stronger!12

My 29 inch waist jeans now look like clown trousers!15

Headstands: I can hold them for about 5 seconds, yes I still have to use the wall to get into them, but I can do it.14

Not sure why someone would disagree with this. I'm impressed with your muscle tone and how far you have come along. Congratulations.8 -
Finally exhausted my closet's supply of 'the next size down.'21

Last night in run group we did a 3km timed run (apparently a Coopers test, even though I always thought that was run as far as you can in 12 ‘min?).
There is some discrepancy between distance from the measured race course and my watch but still two positives to come out of it.
- official time was 19:08, which is only 8 seconds away from the boundary for a Good results instead of an Acceptable on for my gender and age. Given that we were running in slush I feel like I can definitely smash it in the spring!
- My GPS watch gave me a pace of 5:52 min/km. it might be wrong about the distance, but that’s still 10 seconds/km faster than any other run it has ever registered for me so I’ll take it as improvement regardless.27 -
New personal best on the treadmill, 4.25 miles in 40 minutes29

I woke up on an unexpected telework day and instead of rolling over and going back to bed, I slipped on some gym clothes and did 3 miles on the treadmill without very little internal convincing...very different from a month ago28

I no longer cringe when I see myself in a mirror. There are still issues but even knowing that I'm working on them helps it be better instead of just thinking "uggggh, I look awful and it'll always be that way." Also I bought a pair of bike shorts and ordered a size large Women's instead of a 2X women's - and I haven't owned bike shorts since I was 15.26

I can cook dinner without my feet aching or needing to sit down.
Probably very small for most, but muscle deterioration is REAL. I love cooking but it's been so miserable because of how weak my ankles were.28 -

I am gonna guess they think it's a filter when it's just poor lighting 🤣🤣🤷. It's ok doesn't hurt my feelings any. I am proud. I work hard.
Thx!16
